Selecting Multiple email addresses in Address Book

I have several companies in my address book within which are multiple email addresses. When i add a companies vcard to an email only one of the email addresses is selcted. Is there a way for me to highlight all email addresses within one vcard so that i can send a group mail to every member of each company at the same time?
Thanks

Unfortunately only one e-mail address is used from a single contact.
You could create individual contacts for each e-mail address for that company and then create a group for that company. Then you would send e-mail to the group.

  • How do you select multiple emails from the contacts book.

    Using 10.8.4. I would like to use mail and select multiple email address' from the contacts book to send the same message to multiple persons. I thought I used to be able to select more than one at a time from my contacts book. Am I crazy or did they change the way it works from the previous version of software.
    Or, could you go to the contacts book and email from there. Either way it seems like it was easy to do and now I have to select one at a time and keep going back to the contacts/address book for another name.

    Hi shelereric,
    Once you open a new message, you should be able to just start typing the first letters of the contact's name, and Mail should give you a dropdown to select from:
    So, you should not have to go back and forth between your contacts and mail....anyone in your address book should show up on the dropdown as well as anyone you have received emails from or sent emails to even if they are not in your contacts....
    Is that not what is happening for you? Are you using the Mail app on the Mac?

  • When sending a PDF form by email, is there a way to make a button into a drop-down to select multiple email addresses?

    Basically, I'm wanting to have multiple recipients set up within a button, so I can pick and choose who and when I send the form to. I can only seem to get it to either send to only one email address, or to send to multiple email addresses all at one time, without the option to select a recipient upon pressing the button.
    If anyone could help, I'd be really grateful.
    Many thanks in advance.

    First of all, a drop-down menu doesn't allow for multiple item selection. You'll need a list-box field for that.
    Once you have that set up you can use the value(s) selected in this field as the recipients of the email.

  • How do I select multiple email address for a single person in my address book when creating a new email?

    I am coordinating a large group of people and created a group list of over one hunderd people.  The group is families and each person in the address book has several e-mail addresses. How do I select all the email address under each person in the address book so every family member recieves the e-mails?
    It appears I can select any ONE email address but selecting multiples from any one person is not allowed, why is that? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

    Not sure about this problem. But if you don't get an answer soon, go here which is the Mail forum for Leopard (which you listed in your sig).

  • Select Multiple Email addresses for 1 contact

    How do I select when I send an email to a contact in my address book to send the email to more than one of their email addresses?

    you have to enter those addresses separately in the "To" line of the outgoing message. that's the only way.

  • How can I import multiple email addresses in cc field of MAIL email into Address Book or Contacts?

    Hello...Mail and Address Book used to have a great feature where when you received an email (in Mac MAIL program), if there were multiple emails I'm the "to" or "cc" fields, you could select them all as a batch and drag them into Address Book and it would add them all to Address Book.  Now it doesn't seem to let you do it as a batch...you have to click each email address and select "add to address book".
    Does anyone know of a workaround, or an AppleScript, or third party app that would allow users to add email addresses to AB in a batch from a MAIL email?
    Thanks!

    Try this.. Click the first in the CC field hold Shift, Click the Second Third, Fouth, Fifth and so on... click right Mouse select add to Contacts.

  • VIP selection will not work on contact with multiple email addresses

    Trying to add more people to my VIP list. When selecting a name that has multiple email addresses, I select the address I want added and selection will not "stick" or accept that contact to VIP list.
    Help?

    Hiya!
     Well first off... I'm baffled that you succeeded in setting up personal email without a data plan.
    You need a data plan to access the BIS network which allows you web browsing (off wifi), email, BBM and the like.

    How can I add multiple email addresses to Address Book?
    Can it be done from an .xlsx file?

    I have tried that, but the system reads the emails as one long email and I can't find any way of separating them - it ignores spaces, colons and I have also tried putting them through a word doc... still does not work. It works perfectly easily on a PC system!! ( I have just moved to a mac!)
    any ideas would be good
    thanks

  • I am sending emails to a Smart Group created in my address book.   The contact in my address book has multiple email addresses.  Is there a way for the email to go to both addresses?  (ex:  work and home email address under one contact)

    In my address book, I have contacts that have multiple email addresses.  (ex:  home and work)   I have created a smart group off of the company name in the contact.  When I send emails, I want it to go to both email address listed in the contact.  Is there a way to make this happen?  Or do I have to have a separate contact for each email address?

    I will agree with you on this one. Version 31 and all the fixes so far are a mess. Since I have been here answering questions for a little more than a year now I have learned to wait to upgrade until all the dust settles. I see no end to the dust storm version 31 has caused. I am still on version 24.6 and plan on staying there for the duration. At least until the developers comes to their senses and put out a working product.

    How do I enter my multiple email addresses for one Firefox Sync account?

    Sorry, but Address Book does not allow you to select more than one email address to send to in a group. There's really no reason why people need multiple copies of a message, anyway; they have the option of forwarding email to another email address of theirs.

  • How do I add multiple email addresses for a contact to a group?

    (I'm a recent convert from eMailer to Outlook Express, to Entourage, and finally to Mail.app)
    I'm trying to set up a group in Address Book that includes multiple email addresses from a given card. These are folks that want me to include, for example, both their work and home email addresses when I send to this particular group.
    I see that Address Book has the ability to use "Edit Distribution List..." to select one email address for a given card/contact, but I can't get it to allow me to use two or three for a given card.
    I suppose for now I can just create a duplicate card, and pick one address from each.
    Is there a better way?

  • Managing multiple email addresses for the same contact

    Hi
    I have set up a group so I can email multiple people at once using the usual method. However, when I put the 'xx group' in the Bcc, it mails them fine, but where I have more than one address for the contact, it picks one without asking me.
    How do I set it so it always chooses a certain (main) address? For one, it sent it one of two addresses I had listed as 'home', on another it sent it to an address I had listed as 'work'.
    They also appeared in different positions on the card, e.g. it is not sending tit to the first one it sees on the card.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Mark

    found the answer somewhere else:
    When sending a message to a Group and a Group member (or members) has multiple email addresses, the following was copied from Address Book Help.
    Choose Edit > Edit Distribution List.
    Select the group whose addresses you want to manage.
    Click the pop-up menu (column header) to choose which type of information you want to manage—phone number, email address, or street address.
    Select the address or phone number you want to use for each member with multiple addresses or phone numbers.

  • Pick one of the multiple email address of a contact!

    Hi,
    In the current app that I am working on, the user is presented with the address book. Let's say the contact that is selected has multiple email addresses - Home, Work1, Work2 (in this order).
    How can the app know which one the user picks? Let's say the user wants to select the Work2 address.
    The code below has a for-loop that cycles thru all the values. I want to compare the value of mobileLabel to the value that the user selected in the AddressBook picker - how is that passed on to the app?
    ABMultiValueRef emailProperty = ABRecordCopyValue(person, kABPersonEmailProperty);
    NSString* email=@"";
    NSString* mobileLabel;
    for (CFIndex i = 0; i < ABMultiValueGetCount(emailProperty); i++)
    mobileLabel=(NSString*)ABMultiValueCopyLabelAtIndex(emailProperty, i);
    NSLog(@"mobileLabel = <%@>", mobileLabel);
    // if ([mobileLabel isEqualToString:@"_$!<Mobile>!$_"])
    // if ([mobileLabel isEqualToString:@"_$!<Home>!$_"])
    email=(NSString*)ABMultiValueCopyValueAtIndex(emailProperty,i);
    NSLog(@"email: <%@>", email);
    self.emailFromPicker = email;
    break;
    [email release];

    It's given to you in the delegate method.
    - (BOOL)personViewController:(ABPersonViewController *)personViewController shouldPerformDefaultActionForPerson:(ABRecordRef)person property:(ABPropertyID)property identifier:(ABMultiValueIdentifier)identifierForValue
    Parameters
    personViewController
    The sender.
    person
    The person personViewController is displaying.
    property
    The property whose value the user selected.
    valueIdentifier
    When property is a multivalue property, the value the user selected.
    See the +ABPersonViewControllerDelegate Protocol Reference+.

    How to return the names (or ids) of selected groups in Address Book?

    I got responses from other sources that Address Book will not return selected groups.
    So I did this instead ( How to post a script without loosing formatting? )
    -- copy to clipboard
    -- email addresses of selected group(s)
    tell application "Address Book"
    set group_list to name of every group
    set _groups to choose from list group_list ¬
    with title "Address Book Groups" multiple selections allowed true ¬
    OK button name "Select Groups"
    set elist to ""
    set enum to 0
    repeat with ggg in _groups
    repeat with ppp in person in group ggg
    try
    set elist to elist & value of email 1 of ppp & return
    set enum to enum + 1
    end try
    end repeat
    set elist to elist & return -- separate groups
    end repeat
    set the clipboard to elist
    display dialog "Copied " & enum & " addresses to the clipboard" default button "Ok" buttons {"Ok"}
