Selecting next thread broken after deleting previous thread since yesterday

I read large mailboxes for mailing lists with threading enabled, and generally have the threads collapsed.
Starting yesterday, when I delete a thread (or single message), it now starts to select the next thread, but then unselects everything after something like 3/4 of a second.
That's if the thread is collapsed. If its not collapsed, it now selects ALL the messages in the thread instead of the initial summary pseudo-message giving the index of the messages in the thread. Apparently, if the thread is collapsed, it can't do that, and it gives up.
It used to select the index of the thread. This selecting all the messages (and not the index) is not useful in any way I can imagine.
How do I get the old behavior back?

I just saw the "Sort by Date" drop-down menu - it allowed me to sort by ascending date, so now I can do what I want. Sorry about the ignorant post.

Lion Mail selects the wrong entry after delete?

Does anyone else thing Mail selects the wrong entry after delete? Say your scanning through your mail from latest to oldest, something most people seem to do. You click on an entry, read the mail and then press delete to move it to trash. Mail picks the next newest entry instead of the one right after the one you deleted. But you've probably already looked at that one and want to look at the next older item. So I have to select, delete, click the down arrow, delete, etc. in order to quickly go through mail, deleting the ones I don't need, and leaving others I want to go back too.
Seems like there should be an option to set what the next entry is after delete.

Leave request collision with new request after deleting previous

For some users we get following errormessage in the leave request screen:
message class HRTIM_ABS_REQ - message 124
-> "Conflict with 2001 (absences) from ... to ...."
This errormessage is appearing after deleting a wrong leave request and requesting a new request for the same day (but with other amount of hours). We can insert this request manually in pa30, but the user is always getting this blocking error in de EQQ-screen.
Can somebody help me with the location where this errormessage is generated?

OK, I found myself already that I have to look in method CL_PT_ARQ_BLOP_ADAPTER~MAINTAIN_TIMEDATA for this error message.

How to start and stop a progress-bar thread before/after the main thread

Not precisely that way, but just off the top of my head, you would have to have a handle to the proccess (server) in the first window, then have a monitor program that allows you take this handle and end it. I would make this monitor program be the gateway to starting and stopping your server. To run a .bat file you can use runtime.exec().

How to download keynote with new Account after deleting previous one?

I have changed my Apple ID and deleted my keynote which i have dwonloaded with my previous Apple account. But when I tried to download keynote using my recent Account to the same Mac it only shows "update" option with previous account. Is there any way i could download it with my recent Account?

Thanks, I know its a silly issue to forward here.
I tried several times but what happened was I had a pending update I tried with my previous account. So when i updated and remove it. I was able to download from my recent account.

Script that will automaticly set the focus to the next text box after the previous one is completed

Specificly, entering a SSN into a form with three text boxes. 1st box for first 3 digits, 2nd box for middle 2 digits, and 3rd box for last 4 digits. I would like the user to be able to enter the 1st three digits into the 1st box, and after the 3rd digit is entered, the focus jumps to the 2nd box, then once the middle two are entered, the focus jumps the the 3rd box without having to manually use the tab key to advance through the boxes. Can't drag and drop on desktop and I've tried all suggestions from previous threads

Yesterday I found that I can't drag and drop any files on my desktop. I get the white circle with a line through it when I try to drag anything. I can drag off of my desktop to my HD and to the trash but I can't drag anything back.
I've read all of the previous threads about it and have tried all of the poetntail fixes including:
Creating a new user account and switching back and forth
Sleep / Wake
Relaunching Finder
Checking the Dragging option in Universal Access
Checking all of my settings in prefrences
(I don't have Air Display, Airparrot or any of the other listed problematic 3rd party programs)
I even reinstalled Lion and the problem still exists
Anybody have any other pointers, or should I head into the Genius Bar?

Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
Back up all data now. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to its present state
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
chmod -R -N ~
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. When a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) appears below what you entered, it’s done. You may see a few error messages about an “invalid argument” while the command is running. You can ignore those. If you get an error message with the words “Permission denied,” enter this:
sudo !!
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
Next, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.

Texts in threads disappear after a week

I just upgraded a few weeks ago to Iphone 5 so forgive if this has been answered 100 times. What happened to the load earlier messages option? All of my texts in every thread dissapear after a week. I dont keep all threads but sometimes I need to. Its happening in both imessage and text. I dont see anything in settings that allows me to lengthen that time period. Thanks

Quit Mail.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. If you get a warning that the file is in use when you try to empty the Trash, log out and log back in.

Delete a threaded frame in a document

Hi,
i'm working with indesign since 2 weeks and i can't understand why seems to be impossible to delete a threaded text frames without it flows into the next frame in succession.
In a impaginated document for example, i don't want that the text flows over the others pages, because i just want the text frame to be discarded, so the next pages remains correct and with the same settings.
I've read a lot in the manual but can't find something about this.

Let me add that there is a sample script that is included with recent versions of InDesign that will isolate a single frame and remove it, and the content, from the thread, which might be an easier method fot you -- select the frame, runt the script, then delete. The script is called BreakFrame.jsx and you should find it in the Scripts panel under Application > Samples folder > javascript folder. Double-click it to run, or assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

It sounds like you're deleted message threads keep coming back after you restart the devie. I recommend starting by quitting all the running apps on your phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes and then restore it as a new device and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

IPhone 4S AND 5S freeze when trying to delete message threads?

I have the newest software available and both phones are up to date.
When I go to delete old message threads, my iPhone freezes. It will let me swipe to the side and clear them, but after 2 or 3 threads it will freeze. I'll be in the Messages section and it will be unresponsive. I will close out of it and then when I reopen it- it says I have 0 messages altogether. I have to literally turn my phone off and then back on to view my inbox again- and the message threads I thoght were deleted are still there.
Does anyone else have this problem, or a way to fix it?

It sounds like you're deleted message threads keep coming back after you restart the devie. I recommend starting by quitting all the running apps on your phone:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes and then restore it as a new device and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.

Tree Table Selection after deletion

Hi,
We have a tree table where we are displaying hierarchy of information. We have a "Delete" operation. This operation is available in the context menu associated to each node. When user selects "Delete" operation, the selected row is deleted and the next node is automatically selected. We have implemented a selection listener on this table but when this automatic selection happens after deletion this event is not triggered. How do we trigger the selection event after deletion? We require the selection event because, we are keeping track of the selected nodes. Even for delete, we are identifying the item to be deleted from the list of tracked nodes. When this auto selection happens and the user clicks delete menu, the auto selected row it is not available in the tracked list as the selection listener is not fired for the auto selection.
Can any throw some light on how to address this?

what if - after deleting a node - you call for the selectedRowKeys on the tree to get the new selected row. This way you can update what otherwise the listener does.
