Selecting specific Keyframes

Is there a way to isolate a particular key framed value for multiple layers? I have a glow effect on multiple layers and I want to select the keyframe of that effect for all of the layers, however when I hit U it shows some other values like Opacity and Scale that I animated but I don't want to edit. When I hit T or S, it isolates those values, but is there some way to hide those values after hitting U?

I just want to edit the glow intensities for 11 differnt layers at once (by vertically selecting them), but I cant select those keyframes (far right) without selecting Opacity and scale keyframes.

Hold down Shift when hitting T, S and whatever keys to add/ subtract them from a current view.

It appears that you can only check to see if a key is selected. Not actually select keys.

What are you trying to accomplish? You can iterate through keys to get values and such.

Selecting multiple keyframes in edit window

i am trying to figure out how select multiple keyframes at once in the edit window, to drag either to start or end of a clip instead of doing it one by one, i have used premiere for a long time, and i am used to just dragging a marquee box over the desired keyframes and moving them, i just cant seem to find out out this simple process in fcp. thx

You cannot grab a "selection" of keyframe's and move them within the clip, it is an all or nothing operation with FCP ... and its been yet another of the major failings of the app for a long time, the sort of thing that was forgivable for a fairly long while, but really by now it should have been addressed.

In the meantime, if you're happy to move all the keyframes of a specific clip rather than just a small selection, or if are happy to divide (blade tool) the clip into sections so as the keyframe slip only affects specific keyframe selections, then the operation is different depending on whether you want to slip audio of video keyframes ...
Video keyframes can be slipped relatively simply audio keyframes are a bit trickier.
*FOR VIDEO*
Toggle open the keyframe overlay area on the timeline (option T)
Right click in this area of the clip whose keyframes you want to adjust and choose those keyframe properties that you want to adjust from the drop down menu
Then hovver your mouse over the keyframe line that appears for those properties (not on a keyframe itself but on the line that joins them) ... the cursor should change to a || shape, and if you click and drag the keyframe line whilst in this tool mode then the keyframes will move without moving the content.

Lets assume that you have applied a series of audio level keyframes to a clip and now wish to slip them a little, heres how:
Load the audio clip from the timeline into the viewer
Select the Slip tool
Then simply click and drag on any keyframe (or anywhere on the level line itself) within the waveform area of the viewer to slip the clip's keyframes (the cursor will change to the slip tool as you hover over the right area)
... release the mouse button and you'll see that the keyframes have indeed slipped appropriately, whereas the clip's in, out and placement, has remained unchanged.
Unfortunately however, there's none of the feedback that we've come to expect from rest of the FCP interface during this process... no phantom marks showing where the keyframes are moving to, no counter to show how many frames left and right the keyframes are being moved.
It seems to be one of those not-quite-finished undocumented features.

I want custom calculation in my rtf template and for this i need to select specific cell's value OR specific row's value. Any one please suggest how can I get this. Below is the example i have plotted using excel. My target is to get field 8 and 9 using sum and minus. We can calculate column over column, is there any way to calculate row over row? If I use variables, then i have to create so many variables because I have more columns and rows to calculate (here i posted one sample table). Any one please help me how can I get expected result other than using variables! If "Using variables" is the only way then also give your valuable opinions.

Thanks for the reply, I got 0 using both codes. This is a dummy table and I plotted 3,4 to give an idea of row number (as like as excel). Rows are individual data sets combining different measures and dimensions with different values.

Select * v/s select specific in oracle

Dear Friends please proivde your valuable opinions:
how does oracle behaves internally in case when all records are selected (select * from X) and in case when few records ( select A, B from X) selected.
I had a discussion with my DBA DBA says even if you select specific column oracle internally selects the whole row (all columns) and then selects specific columns out of it.
Being an application developer I believe that specific column selection is fast and oracle should not be selecting all columns internally.

Aside from the fact that selecting a particular column list is a heck of a lot safer, since it doesn't break when new columns are added to a table, selecting a subset of the columns may be more efficient, particularly if it reduces the amount of data that needs to be sorted or hashed or if it allows all the data to be fetched from an index. If Oracle has to read data from the table itself, it will generally have to read the entire row into the buffer cache (overflow segments in an IOT being the biggest exception I can think of).

Is there a "Select all keyframes to the right" command?

Say in a 16 minute composition, you want to select keyframes from 5 minutes to 16 minutes and shift them earlier in the timeline. Keyframes from 0 to 5 minutes do not change. Can you select multiple keyframes to the right of 5 minutes like this? Perhaps a similar command like in Final Cut pro where you're able to select all clips to the right of your playhead.

Don't believe you can select all keyframes forward.
I take it the trick to select groups of keyframes - marquee-dragging - in the Keyframe Editor won't work for you here? Holding down Shift should constrain you to moving backwards and forwards in the timeline (and not, accidently, altering your actual values), in case that helps any...

How to select specific layers as a book mark

Is it possible to select specific properties of multiple layers at once?

I know that you can alter, opacity for example, of multiple layers at the same time by selecting the opacity property of each layer. But what if there are so many layers that you want to select a single property of many layers at once?
For example, I want to edit the value of the "mask expansion" property of a lot of layers, but don't want to go through and select "mask expansion" on every single layer. Surely there must be a way to select specific properties across multiple layers?

No, unfortunately there isn't. Such stuff is based on the property control actually being visible and being equally visibly selected. Unless you linked it with expressions, it won't sync without the properties being revealed and selected.

1) Out of the box No. The contentlibrary will be created in the root of the drive by default
2) When creating the DP you can configure "Drive Space reserve" available before another drive is selected.

How to select specific element from a XML document using JDBC?

I have a problem with selecting specific XML element in Oracle 11g release 1 from my java application. Data are stored in object-relational storage.
My file looks like:

I need to select a specific <student> element. I've already tried few ways to achieve my goal but I failed.
SELECT extract(OBJECT_VALUE,'/students/student') FROM students - works fine, but this selects all <student> elements
SELECT extract(OBJECT_VALUE,'/students/student[1]') FROM students - which should select first <student> element works too but it causes exception when using JDBC driver returns:

This behaviour raises two questions:
1) Why SELECT extract(OBJECT_VALUE,'/students/student') FROM students works but SELECT extract(OBJECT_VALUE,'/students/student[1]') FROM students does't ?
2) Is there any way how I can select specific element (element XPath /students/student[@id="some value"]) and convert it to String?

To be exact my <student> element is a bit complicated and looks like the one at the end of this post (sorry but it's in czech). And I need to select whole xml fragment (all opening and closing tags included) as it is shown. Maybe I used wrong solution and I should use CLOB storage. I discuss this issue here: Which solution for better perfomance?

i want to select specific no. of records from a table e.t.c KNA1.
means i have given the filed on screen to select how much records u want to select i.e user can give any no. and so that no of records should be picked.

I am assuming you have a selection screen S_KNA1.
Select-options : S_KNA1 for KNA1-KUNNR.
Select *
from KNA1 into table itab
where KUNNR in S_KNA1.

Selecting specific data from an array controlled by a boolean array

Hi!
I am trying to select specific data from a string array. The string data should be auto indexed to a string array indicator, but I just want specific values to be placed in the new array.
A boolean array controls when data should be auto indexed to the new string array. Every time a true appears in the for loop, the string data should be placed in the new string array, but I have a problem. I manage to pick the specific data to place in the new array, but i also get empty strings in the array when I am not supposed to write to the array. Instead of empty strings, I want my string data to be "compact". So when bool number 3 in the array is true, I want that string data to be in row 1, and not row 3.
Can you help me sort this one out?

Here is a different version that also changes the size of the array for the indicator when the value is changed. You could do as much as you want here.
