Are you using the built application on a different machine?
If so, you will need to install NI-VISA on the machine you are trying to use VISA.
Also, you probably want to right click on the control and "allow undefined names" so you can type in the visa resource names like "ASRL1::INSTR".
If you want to port over the aliases "COM1, COM2", etc then you can copy your visaconf.ini file (on a Windows 95 system: vxipnp >> win95 >> NIvisa >> visaconf.ini) into the same directory as your executable.

Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:

Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. Was it AA X Std that you had these options in (sorry, I only have Pro)? If it was the trial (that is Pro), it may be that Std does not have to feature. Under XI at the Adobe site, there is a comparison of features between Std and Pro that might give you a hint.
There is also an option to turn on or hide many tools. For me there is a small icon just above the tools...comment titles. If you select that it give a list of tools you can display. Often, several are not displayed by default. How you lost them is another things, but it is getting them that is the basic question.

Okay, here's an update: the DVI to ADC adapter does work with the Apple displays that I have tried, but it won't work with the Formac. I have tried multiple time to contact them, but to no avail... they don't even respond to threats of posting my opinion of them, which is this:

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first.

Likely because it's a not self contained and/or it's game and copy protected, so install it via the developers instructions instead, which likely means it will have ot be uninstalled off the first machine, the developer contacted for a new license key before installing on the newer machine.
If you want it on both machines, you will need to likely buy another license.
Most developers are fine with transfering license between machines, you have to contact them.
They just want to make sure it's only on one machine so they are not getting robbed.

Hi candy, glad that you found that Shockwave Flash Object, it works with the Flash files and is very important
The NPSWF files that you said are not there, those are for the Firefox browser or Chrome or some other browser. If you use Firefox and want the Flash Player for that, then close all of your browsers so you are only looking at your Desktop.
Click on this Flash Player Installer for Firefox and SAVE it to your Desktop. Then RUN it from your Desktop, and after it is finished Installing, Restart your computer.
Then Using Firefox go to the plug-ins and find a SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is Enabled. This is just like the Shockwave Flash Object for Internet Explorer, but it is the one that works with Firefox.
Let me know if that is what you wanted to do. If you don't use Firefox, but Chrome or another browser, then this will work for that one also.
If you don't use another browser, then don't do any of this. I just thot maybe you did and that is why you were concerned that the NPSWF files were not there.

You're in luck, a non-unibody! At least keycaps can be found for those, cause when it happens to a unibody, you had better have AppleCare!
Anyway, the keycaps on your model have a little white plastic "scissor" that gives the up/down motion and feel. If it won't click back in place, that part may have broken. Take a look in PowerBookMedic.com for a replacement. They may even have a how-to video too.

Elite Pro, CMSS-3D not working and other issues after driver update

DElite Pro, CMSS-3D not working and other issues after driver update <font face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="4">Elite Pro CMSS-3D control (on I/O console)no longer controls CMSS-3D.
The only time it works is if the original drivers are installed from the installation CD.
ANY other drivers stop the control on the Elite Pro I/O console from having any effect on CMSS-3D.
Also at one time when I cotrolled volume, CMSS-3D(original drivers), EAX and Crystalizer from the Elite Pro I/O controls then I had on screen display of said control that was being moved(on I/O console).
Now regardless of what drivers are installed, there?are no longer any on screen indicators.
The indicators looked like the ones that show when using the remote controller.
Anyone have any ideas?

VI works in IDE, not after being built

This is going to be a little long, but I'm not sure I have a choice. I'm using Mark Yedinak's SNMP v1 driver in LV2014 32-bit to talk to a Dell G756N rack mounted power distribution unit (think fancy power strip). My code works just fine in the IDE, but causes the program to freeze after I have built it into an executable. I have no idea what is wrong. I built a simpler example VI intending to have an easy example project (Classy Talker.vi in the SNMP Talk project) of where the VI breaks down, but it seems to work even after being built into an .exe. I built the InitializePDU.vi (the one that works) in the SNMP Talk project by dragging the innards of the problem vi (InitializeEquipment.vi in the Dell Power Supply Testing project, this one doesn't work after being built), so they should be identical.
Using logs, I've been able to track which one is the problem vi. It's the Get snmp Item(s).vi in Mark's snmp communication.llb. Here is a picture of where it fails according to my LVLog.txt file:

The Data Collection Quick Shot.vi under "Main" calls Initialize All Equipment Data-Clock.vi. The Initialize All Equipment Data-Clock.vi is responsible for reading the Equipment Config.xml file and presenting the user with choices of equipment to use with the program. The .vi then uses a factory pattern to initialize chosen equipment. 5 of the equipment types work, but the Power Distribution Unit will not complete verification after being built into an executable (this is event 10, "PDU Verifiy), but works fine in the IDE. Using logs, the probelm occurs after the class is cast to the specific class in the InitializeEquipment.vi found under "Hardware\Power Distribution Unit\DellG756N\" when it call Mark Yedinak's Get snmp Item(s).vi from his snmp communications.llb.
The SNMP Talk project was created to be similar to the problem areas of the Dell Power Supply Testing project. I was hoping it would be a simpler example so that I could get help, but to my suprise it works just fine even after being built into an executable.
The Classy Talker.vi casts the GenericPDU class to the DellG756N class, and uses the InitializePDU.vi which is the equivalent to the problem vi InitializeEquipment.vi in the Dell Power Supply Testing project. It then just reads the manufacturer and part number from the supply, which is also done in the same manner as the InitializePDU.vi.
Any help on why one built executable work and the other does not would be really appreciated.

To follow up, Drew Pierce from NI came down to look at the issue. The morning before he came I was expanding my use of log files and finally had an executable build work. I was a little too quick to think I had the issue solved and threw a 2ms wait where the last log file was thinking it was a timing issue. Nope, it was broken again. So I put all of the logging functions back in, then took them out 1 by 1 until I found the one that fixed it. I have no idea why it fixes it, but it does. The offending vi is Mark Yedinak's SNMP Get Request. Here is the fix:

Multi-Select LOV doesn't work where 1

I have a form with 1 master & 2 detail blocks. Each of the detail blocks has an LOV, & I'd like both to use the multi-select LOV facility within Headstart. However, this doesn't work if there's > 1 multi-select LOV within the form, for these reasons -
1. If there's > 1 multi-select LOV, you have to include reusable module component qms_msel_lov_buttons for each. As this is reusable, you can't edit the name. Therefore you have duplicate block names, therefore generator discards the names specified in Des2K & uses default block names of MC0, MC1 etc.
2. Headstart code in qms$init_application sets the lov block prefix to ML_. At runtime, the form fails with FRM-40104: No such block: ML_MC1.
I can't see any way of influencing Des2k's choice of block name, short of copying the reusable component into a specific component. Is there any workaround in Headstart you can suggest, to make this facility work?

On my nano 2nd gen, my center/select button just stopped working. all other buttons work.

on my 2nd gen nano, I added an audiobook yesterday. now the center /select button just quit working. now all i have is just the main menu. everthing downloaded music & audiobook.

I've been trying to fix a 1st Gen 1GB Nano for the past two days for a coworker and I have to say that with all the digging I have done (around 10 hours at this point) I have yet to find a solution to this matter.
It's become clear that something is happening with the new updates that seem to be killing off a increasing number of iPod's yet you'll find no fix here.
You will however hear many, many, many times over to do the 5R's. And you can do that many, many, many times and you will return to the same problem every time.
It's not just a problem with iTunes/iPod on XP as I can confirm I have had this problem on OS X as well.
Apple needs to get their act together and start offering some answers to customers questions. I shouldn't have to pay or take a trip to a not so local store just to get product I purchased from the company to work.
I find myself nervous each and every time my Mac tells me it has updates because I just have to ask myself what this update is going to break.
Will my iPod play after this update? Will iTunes work after this update. Oh look, my iSight doesn't work anymore after the OS X update (I finally fixed that), and now I see that some Intel iMacs are having wireless issues as well.
I'm growing more and more frustrated each time I see another person having a problem but only see the same answers (that don't work) offered. If it wasn't for end user support there would be no support at all.
