Selection Criteria page printing in the inventory reports

Hi,
Selection Criteria page printing in the inventory reports only. How to avoid that?
For example: batch number transaction report.

Hi Olga,
Do you mean you do not want those Selection Criteria to be printed out? I am afraid that can not be disabled out of box. The work around could be printing to PDF file first and print the file to printer later.

Hello Marta,
This is system default function. It is hard coded already. You could print this page on the virtual printer instead.

You can set the preliminary page to a print layout, that is set (in Document Properties/Page Form / Printer ) to a non-printing printer.
(There are five preliminary page in the layout designer document type list.)

Thank you for the response. I tried to fix the problem with some of the suggestions on that page, but none seem to work. I believe that is the only website that I'm having that problem on. I got to fooling with it a bit more and when I highlight the whole page and select to print the selected area, it actually prints the whole page then, but it won't do it as a default. I guess I can just do it like that from now on, but I thought there would be something in the settings that I could have changed. Thanks again for the help.

Crystal 6.0 : How to hide the Page footer and Page Header of the Main Report on the Sub report.

I have a Main report and a Sub report . When a subreport spans across multiple pages , the page header and page footer of the main report gets displayed along with it . I want to hide the Page Footer and Page Header of the main report when a sub report is displayed . Is there any way it could be acheived in Crystal Report 6.0.

I am assuming you are talking about the JSControl dropdown menu navigation. The easiest way to hide Community pages is to disable the Below Banner View for that navigation scheme, although it also disables the Subcommunties, Related Communities and Go up to Parent Community links. If you still want these in below the banner menu you could not display Community Pages in the "In this Community" tab and only leave the "Community Members and Knowledge Directly" link in there.
You would think that it would be better to remove the "In this Community" tab althogether but it is tricky to remove it due to the fact that there needs to be a default horizontal menu displayed all the time. Not all Communities will have a Subcommunities or Related Communities tab so these communities would not display any below banner menus at all if there is no "In this Community" tab, which could be confusing.

Unfortunately, we do not have any VIs in LabVIEW that can figure out the number of pages of a standard report. However, with the use of ActiveX calls you can achieve this task. Here are a couple of discussion forums which discuss this:

Is it possible to suppress the Page Header of the Main Report based on the Section Name?

Hi,
I am fairly new to Crystal Reports XI. Is it possible to suppress the Page Header of the Main Report based on the Section Name? Thanks.

In the section expert you can enter a formula on the suppress function.
You just need something to check against if it is section name you say
{section name} ="Suppressme"
I have used it more in drill level to display headers based on how far you have drilled into a report.

Debtor Statements Selection Criteria always printed

Hi all,
When I print out my cust receivables aging report, is there a way to stop the selection criteria from being printed also? I am printing summary report, one page per customer. This is the statement that the cust receives in the mail.

HP Laserjet P3015 double sided - the last odd page prints on the same page when printing two copies

HP Laserjet P3015 double sided printing is set up on Windows 7. When printing two copies of a document, if it has odd number of pages, the last page is printed on both sides of the page. There is no page feed for the last page.
Suppose say there are 3 pages in a document and you want to print two copies. It prints like 1/2, 1/2 and 3/3. The third page (odd number) print on the same page. The last page page does not print on two pages.
It works alright on Windows XP.

Hope that you have configured the correct paper type and size in the printer hardware and also selecting the same paper tray, size, type from the printer driver while printing.
It may be caused due to the job formatting done by the application software or some jobs settings done from the job/application or printer driver. Check by toggling the 'collate' option and also try to print from a different application software.

Page Numbering for the aging report

Hi,
Does any one know how I can achieve the following:
For the customer ageing report we need to print all customer statements at once. On our print layout we currently use the following CurrentPage()/TotalPages() formula fields to dispaly the page number. The result we get is 1/10, 2/10, 3/10....etc.
We actually need the following, for total 10 pages statement would like to display the page number as follows:
Customer A: 1/1
Customer B: 1/3, 2/3, 3/3
Customer C: 1/1
Customer D: 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5
Does anyone know how to achieve the above for continuous print?

You are trying to print the detailed aging report. Right?
It seems that there is no way of "splitting" the page numbers within a collection report.
The system could not count the pages for EACH customer.The total number per pages will be per whole document, and cannot be per business partner within the same document when using the formula currentpage().

Blank page coming in the Webi Report in a particular tab

Hi,
i have a webi report which uses a two Cross tabs.and it is sectioned by 'Business Segment' object. and 'Group name' object has been used to group the data in each cross tab.it has multiple tabs in the report each named same as the group name used in the cross tab.
so now when i export the report into the PDF document one of the tabs is having a blank page (i.e 2nd page is a blank page off the 4 pages it has). i am using XI R 3 version.
so please suggest me what formatting changes to be done for that particular tab(s) to remove the blank page off the 4 pages.
Immediate suggestion is very helpful.

Thanks for your suggestion.however i checked all the cells. everything is well fitted.one more thing is that similar kind of data is visible in other tabs without any issues. so it is happening only in a particular tab.
Any other advanced settings to do to avoid the blank pages in between the PDF document?

I have 3-tables and one report with one subreport: My first table is a lookup table of locations, the second table is the crash information, and the 3rd table is the vehicles involved in the crash. In the main part of the report I have the locations and crash tables. In the subreport I have the vehicle information. (One crash has many Vehicles) I would like to select the records on the main report based on the child records (see below SQL stmt.)SELECT locations.mp, locations.county, crashes.numberofdrivers, crashes.lane FROM locations,crashes where crashes.id IN (select * from vehicles where vehicle.type = "Trailer") How do I create a Report->Selection Formulas->Record to mimic the SQL stmt.?

I'm also face the same problem.
IF i use the TEXT related with filter,the workbook become bigger.
In BEx analyzer 3.5 you had the possibility to remove query results from your workbook before saving it.
Any idea's how you can do this in the BI 7.0 Analyzer?

Any way to select which page printed with AirPrint ?

Got an HP 6250 with AirPrint which set up very easily and works well with my iPad 2. But how can you get it to print just 1 page or a selected portion of a page. It doesn't seem to offer those options. It prints the whole article wasting paper and ink when I just want a selected page or paragraph.

How to reference the total pages in a the after-report trigger

I need to call a procedure in my after report trigger, and send the total number of pages as a parameter. However, a bind reference only applies to columns or parameters.
I have the total pages displayed on my report, I just can't reference that field in my trigger.
Does anyone have any ideas?
