Selection date in Delivery creation

Hello,
If the schedule line is not confirmed in sales order (due to zero atp stock i think ) and if I try to create a delivery, system will give a response that " no schedule lines are due for delivery  with a yellow question mark against the message ".
If I click on the question mark, system will say that schedule line is not confirmed. System also says that We can postpone the "selection date" in future to create the delivery.
now my questions are :-
a) how can giving a later date in "selection date"  field in VL01N  helps us to create delivery ... I cannot understand that since ATP is zero.  Pls explain by means of an example
b) Will we be able to do PGI if we are able to create a delivery as in step a above. I think PGI looks for actual stock and not ATP stock !
regards
Pamela

Hai Pamela,
When you create a sales order, system checks the availabke quanity and check what are the earlier sales order adn Delivery order assign to it.
If the balnce qunaity is sufficient for the sales order then it gives the Schedule line.
In case when you create the Sales order and that time qty is ZERO, it will check for the material what is
(from MM03 - MRP2 view)
Scheduling:
In-house production  0   days
GR Processing Time   1   days
So sales order will do and  show Availability check like
6.8.2011 confirm qty 5 and TICK mark wil be ter.
And u saved the file.
IF you try to do delivery system will show the error.
no schedule lines are due for delivery with a yellow question mark against the message ".
and if you enetr selection date : 6.8.2011
it wil go inside but No qty will come in Deleivery order so No PGI will happen.
In case if they manufaactured the product today itself,
Since SALES order confrmed on 6, DO will show the error again For this issue
Either
OPen the sales order Do availability check
or
Enter a future selection date and proceed

Mani

  • New planned goods issue date during delivery creation due to changed route

    Hello All,
I have defined 2 routes with different values for transit time and transporation lead times. I have configured routes such that in order creation - route A is determined and while delivery creation due to weight group - delivery B is determined.
Now for Route A i have maintained transit time of 3 days and Transportation lead time of 4 days and for Route B it is 1 day each.
Delivery scheduling is active for the order type.
Now when i create the order with a delivery date of say 05/24/2010 then (route A with transit time of 3 days) is determined and the planned goods issue date of 05/21/2010 is in the order.
Now while creating delivery (Route B which has transit time 1 day) is determined due to the weight group. But the planned goods issue date is still the same 05/21/2010 as in order.
I am assuming that since the route B has a route of 1 day so the planned goods issue date should be re-determined to 05/23/2010? IS there no scheduling done during delivery creation even though route and subsequently transit time has changed?
Please let me know the answer to this...
    Thanks

    Hi ,
You can use TA - MASS . Enter object type - BUS2032(for sales orders) on initial screen and select sales item data.
Next screen enter selection fields like sales order no and items. After giving order no and item range , execute and enter all new values for any item data fields. After pressing button "carry out mass change", don't forget to press save button.

    Hi,
Kindly go to VA02-> Enter Your Sales Order Number-> Double Click On Line item-> Check the Tab Schedule Lines.
If in this tab, you will find the line item present for the respective date with Quantity Confirmed.
Then after entering sales order number & respective Shipping Point at VL01n input screen for the Selection date. System will allow you to create The out bound delivery.
    Thank You,

  • Delivery Creation (Selection date on VL01N)

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to create a delivery for an Order. Procedure followed is,
Goto T-code VA02. Enter order Number, press enter
Goto menu Sales order ==> Deliver. This calles the T-code VL01N.
My question is, I am expecting the requested delivery date from order to be copied to the selection date of T-code VL01N,
But I am not getting it, always the Current system date is copied to the selection date.
Please suggest me how to copy the requested delivery date to the selection date of t-code VL01N.
    Cinfig/Programming?
    Best Regards,
    Mohammed.

    Hi
Normally, system date gets copied as the "Selection date" in the Create Delivery(VL01N) screen by default which you can change.
You require that the "Requested Delivery date" to be copied as "Selection date" , but what is the purpose of it ? I think ,it will not be helpful to you.
You need to understand clearly what is "Requested Delivery date", "Confirm Delivery date" and "Selection date".
"Delivery date" or "Confirm delivery date" is the date on which Customer acknowledges the receipt of goods/Delivery.
"Requested Delivery date" is the date on which Customer wish to receive the goods/Delivery.
It is a Customer's wish ,which we may or may not be able to meet keeping different lead times in consideration.
System does "BACKWARD SCHEDULING" first to check whether the Cutomer's Requested Delivery date can be kept or not (for this you have to understand Delivery scheduling in details which is easy).
If it finds that the "Requested Delivery date" can be kept then it confirms the "Requested Delivery date" as "Confirm delivery date". Here "Requested Delivery date" and "Confirl Delivery date" are same.
If it finds that Requseted Delivery date is not possible to confirm then it goes for "Forward scheduling" and gives a new "Confirm Delivery date". Here "Requested Delivery date" and "Confirm Delivery date" are different.
    Now, coming to "Selection date".
Selection date is the date on which Shipping processing begins. It is either the "Material availability date" or the "Transportation Planning date" , whichever is earlier.
That means, Shipping process starts on the "Selection date" and goods reaches the Customer on the "Confirm delivery date".
So, in the "Create delivery" screen (VL01N), in the "Selection date" you need to enter the "Material Availability date" or "Transportation planning date" whichever is earlier (you can enter a later date also but not before  date)and you can get those date from the schedule line of the item.
Item details > Schedule line > click on the "Shipping " tab/button below.
Suppose "Material av date " is 20/03/2009 and "Tr palnning date" is on 21/03/2009 in the schedule line then you need to put "Selection date" as 20/03/2009(as it is earlier between the two dates) or some later date also.
Therefore, copying the "Requested Delivery date" as "Selection date" will not be very useful for your Sales process as in the "Selection date" either you should enter the" Material av date" or "Tr planning date" whichever is earlier.
But, if still you require it to happen , then you have to take your ABAPer help.

  • Delivery creation select variants must be checked

    Hi Gurus,
in selection variants for delivery creation by batch were wrong on 2 points :
date selection was too large (till D30 instead of D5)
    shipping point was incorrect.
    Please help me

Goto T.Code SE38 and give the program name. You will find 4 options below and choose the variant and click the Change Button.
You will be in the next screen, here you will have the option to change the variant, now click the change button and change the Shipping point.
Once done save and back to the previous screen. Now press the Attributes button, this will take you to the screen where they have defined the Selection variable. You will find a Selection variable button on top of your screen, press that and this will take you to the next screen here you will find that the date has been maintained as D30, change this to D5 and save the variant.
Lo! you are done. verify the date one more time before you run the job and that's it.

  • How to over write VBBE data when Delivery is created if at the time of SO creation stock blocking is there

    Hi,
I want to know how to over write VBBE data after delivery creation if stock blocking is there at the time of SO creation.
That means I want my confirmed delivery quantity to over write the SO quantity in VBBE table after delivery creation. Please help me with your valuable suggestions...
    Thanks
    Tanmoy

    Hi Tanmoy,
This should happen automatically. The VBBE entry should reflect the quantity of the delivery requirement. Is it possible for you to post screenshots illustrating exactly what is happening on your system?

    For example :
Delivery    Plant       DelivCreationDate       DelivCreationTime   DelivCreationDate(Local)   DelivCreationTime(Local)

Here the Plant 1650 is in Mexico . The above delivery is created in Canada in ECC system according to the candain time .
But user wants to convert the Candain Delivery Creation Date and Time into the Local Date/Time of specific plant .
So we need to convert the  Candain Delivery Creation Date and Time into Mexico timings .
How can it is possible this one and user wants to automate this process .
    Please let me know

  • Default 'Delivery Creation Date To' on VL10G

    Hi All,
We've upgraded SAP4.7 to ECC6.0. After that, The default value on 'Delivery Creation Date To' in tcode
VL10G,  it's showing 30 days ahead from current date.
Is there any configuration to change it to current date?
It was current date in SAP 4.7.
    Thanks for help.

    Hi,
The default value in the field 'Delivery Creation Date' was due to the list profile maintained for the transaction VL10G.
To change this default value to any desired value(Todays Shipping Date) do the following.
Go to -->'User Role' tab in the transaction VL10G.
Click the 'Role' button, select the role in change mode.
Change the default value in the field 'Rule DlvCrDate' to the desired value.

  • How to List Sales Orders based on Creation Date and Delivery Priority

    Dear all,
How can we list Sales Orders based on creation date and delivery priority.
I tried using vl10a transaction code, but there we can see sales order based on delivery date.
we need to list all sales order based on delivery priority and sales order creation date.
can any one of you tell me which standard report gives such kind of report. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu Ram

    Hi Raghu,
There is no st report available as per your req.
Using SQVI, you develope one report that is list of sales orders based on your req.
SQVI is used to convert a Quick View into a query.
    Quick Viewer:
The Quick Viewer allows you to define reports without having to program yourself. The Quick
Viewer is especially useful for new users and occasional use.
Quick Viewer is a tool for generating reports. SAP Query offers the user a whole range of options for defining reports. SAP Query also supports different kinds of reports such as basic lists, statistics, and ranked lists. Quick Viewer, on the other hand, is a tool that allows even relatively inexperienced users to create basic lists.
Quick View definitions are user-dependent. You can transfer a Quick View into SAP Query in order to make reports, for example, accessible to additional users, or to use the other functions available in SAP Query.
The following is a comparison of Quick Views and queries:
Quick Views possess the same functional attributes as queries. However, only basic lists may be defined with Quick Views.
In contrast to queries, no user group assignment is necessary with Quick Views. Each user has his/her own personal list of Quick Views. Quick Views cannot be exchanged between users. Quick Views may, however, be converted to queries and then be made available to other users in a specific user group.
Info Sets are not required for Quick View definition. Whenever you define a Quick View, you can specify its data source explicitly. Tables, database views, table joins, logical databases, and even Info Sets, can all serve as data sources for a Quick View. You can only use additional tables and additional fields if you use an Info Set as a data source.
The Quick Viewer uses various controls. Certain hardware and software requirements must also be fulfilled before you can use the Quick Viewer.
To define a Quick View, you select certain fields according to your data source that determine the structure of your report. The report can be executed in basis mode with standard layout or may be edited using drag and drop and the other toolbox functions available in WYSIWYG mode.
Reports created using the Quick Viewer may also be passed to external programs (Excel, for example).
Call the Quick Viewer using System -> Services -> Quick Viewer (or transaction SQVI).
Enter the name of the Quick View. Quick View names can contain a maximum of 14 characters.
    Choose Create.
Enter a title for the Quick View and remarks, if you think they are relevant.
If you do not want to base your list on a table, use the possible entries pushbutton in the Data source field to select another data source. You can choose logical databases or Info Sets. In addition, you may also create table joins. For further information, see Selecting a Data Source.
Choose Basis mode if you want to create the list directly with no list design. Choose Layout mode if you want to define the layout of your list yourself.
SQVI Table Quick viewer – Used to created quick client dependent reports
Probably the easiest and most flexible way to do this is thru one of the ABAP query transactions.
Transaction SQVI can do this and it has a very good help function that explains how it works... the drawback is that it is only for one user.
You can play around with it and see if it meets your needs...
The query results will come back in an ALV Grid or Excel... you can select what fields are returned, and have a selection screen to enter the search criteria.
You can get the report by joining the tables VBAK and VBAP.
If you have any queries, i will forward screen shots to your id.
    Reward points pls.
    Regards,
    Govind.

    Hi,
I have created a program to create delivery orders with reference to sales orders using BAPI - BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CREATE_SLS.
After execution I get the error: No schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance!!!
    Regards,
    Sriram

    hi,
this is to inform you that,
please check the schedule line date in the sales order because the date is not matching here for the BAPI to upload.
here,  for example the schedule line is 4 days after and you are running BAPI today. that will mismatch no.
the same thing is happening in uploading case also.
    so please check the date.
because in teh sales order if teh schedule line date is today it will accept the uploading with out throwing any errors.
