Selection indicator greyed our in 'Assign' tab of Dimensions

Hi All,
We are on 3.5 trying to re-design cubes for performance. While re-designing, the selection indicator against the characteristic is greyed out in edit mode. This is after deleting the data from fact and dimension tables.
Please let me know if we are missing out anything.

Re-designing means u r adding any char in to u r cube .what ever it may be which u want add any char. its there in the data source or else u r doing the any Repartitioning.

I've checked note 1308330 and we've implemented it. But it didn't help unfortunately.
I've tried to find variable gv_initial_category but there is no such variable in class ZL_BP_HEAD__MAINSEARCHSHU_CN00 (resp. CL_....).
I did find a variable called gv_category in class CL_BP_HEAD__MAINSEARCH_IMPL. But it's protected. And to be honest, I wouldn't know how to set that variable from GET_CATEGORY of class ZL_BP_HEAD__MAINSEARCHSHU_CN00.
However I did find out what messes up my result, thanks to your hint.
It happens in method DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION of class CL_BP_HEAD__MAINSEARCH_IMPL. There it checks if the global attribute gv_category is different from the category from the "shuffler" object.
It does this when the page is loaded resp. reloaded (so before searching and after every search).
And after the very first search I will end up in this method and gv_category will be initial and the shuffler category will be set to '2'. And in that case, all search terms and the result lists gets cleared.
So now I know where it happens. But I still don't know how to fix this.
I've tried to change in method IF_BSP_MODEL~INIT to set the collection_wrapper with category = '2' but that still didn't help. For some reason, when the method DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION reads the shuffler collection, that one returns an empty category. If I would get '2' there, then gv_category would also become '2', before I even searched. And that would work... But no matter what I do, I don't get '2' from the shuffler object.
Anyone got ideas?

As I can't see any complicated scenario in your requirement. So I suggest you can achieve this by simple standard configuration.
Go to OME9, double click on the Account assignment category and make the field as Display.
Then check in your PO.
But I doubt, your requirement can not be simple like that.
So either you didn't know the settings or your requirement is different or you are just trying to learn that can it be possible via coding.
Let us know the appropriate reason for set it as display.

MAKING UNLIMITED INDICATOR AS GREY MODE IN SERVICE TAB OF SERVICE P.O

In service purchase order we want to make unlimited delivery indicator in a grey mode in service tab. I tried in screen layout of purchase order. In purchase order there are two field of unlimited indicator. One is available in delivery tab of p.o in item details screen. Another is also available in service tab of p.o in item details screen. When I made setting in screen layout at document level I saw the unlimited indicator became grey in DELIVERY TAB of the P.O. But my requirement is to make the setting in a grey mode in service tab of the p.o. how can I do it.Because we have created a ser. p.o of service of 10piece. but the user has activated unlimited indicator in service item . we want to make setting so that the system will not allow to activate the un limited indicator.pl. solve it.

Try this in external service management:
MM-> external service management -> define screen layout -> choose ME21-> copy it as ME21n (tcode) -> under quantity tab -> make Overfulfillment tolerance % & Overfulfillment tol. unlimited as hidden/ display.
So if you ME21n tcode then these fields will be hidden/ display.

Field selection for Account Assignment Tab in PR

I set up my own field selection key where only storage location can be changed after release.
But when I do the test, I found that not only the storage location field but also all the fields in Account Assignment Tab can be changed!!! (Like cost center, profit center and GL account etc)
So, please help me to control the fields in Account Assignment Tab. I can't find related setting.

You guys misunderstood.
Here's my business flow:
I enter PR with account assignment K, input cost center and then save.
After PR is released, there's only storage location can be changed.
So I set up my own field seletion key in which I set storage location as optional, and other fields as display.
But when I use ME52N to check my released PR, not only storage location but also all the fields in Account Assignment Tab can be changed!
I can't find the corresbonding setting for cost center or GL account in "Define Screen Layout at Document Level".
I can't use OME9 either, because once I set cost center as display, I have no change to enter even if I use ME51N.

PO Account Assignment Tab in ECC - with Split Accounting

We currently are using Funds and WBS Elements within our SAP system. When both a fund and a WBS Element are used on one line item within the shopping cart, I am able to see all of the information (fund, wbs element, fund center, cost center, commitment item, etc). However, after the purchase order is created and transmitted to ECC the "Account Assignment Category" is marked as "X - All aux.acct.assgts." and the account assignment tab only has the following column headers:
- Sequential Number of Account Assignment
- Quantity
- Distribution Percentage in Case of Multiple Account Assgt
- Cost Center
- G/L Account Number
- Order Number
- Asset Subnumber
- WBS Element
- Sales and Distribution Document Number
- Sales Document Number
- Delivery Schedule Line Number
- Unloading Point
- Goods Recipient/Ship-to Party
- Deletion Indicator: Purchasing Document Account Assignment
I can see that the fund is within the EKKN table (Field: BP_GEBER) but for some reason ME23N does not have this field in the Account Assignment tab when the category is "X". How do I add "Fund" into the Account Assignment tab so that it will be visible within ME23N?

How to change company code in Assignment tab (CJ20n-project builder)

Dear All,
Is there any config to maintain company code in assignment tab (project builder) ? We have a problem in our project. It shows that in basic data, user put company code A (in basic data) but in Assignment tab they put different company code let say B. When we do settlement , two accounting document created to company code A and B. By right it should be only company code A. In addition, we cannot change the company code, when the status is already Release (REL).
Please help how to change the company code B to A and how to reverse the accounting document that has been created under these two accounting document.

Now I understand your scenario, you have the Requesting Company Code and the Company Code Different.
You usually use this primarily with IM module if you want to manage the asset under construction (cross company) belonging to a different i.e., company code (Requesting ) than company code on main WBS.
You can not change the company code (Assignment Tab) as you already have actual posted against it.
You've also created an AUC (in wrong company code) and even if you reverse the settlement you would not be allowed to delete the AUC or the delete the settlement rule (its grey out as its already used)
What I can suggest is to reverse the settlement, lock this WBS which was created wrongly, create a new WBS and then continue with you regular process.
Above are my views but you can expect views from others.

REUSE - how to hide row selection indicator

Hi,
I am using fm REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY , within i have an editable checkbox field.
But in the grid i need to hide the row selection indicator. (ie the square push button appers first column of the gird)
But if i am using REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY, the row indicator is not appearing?
Any suggestions?

Display GL/cost center description in account assignment tab in PR and PO.

My user wants to display GL and cost center description in account assignment tab of PO and PR? How can we do this?

Someone added same kind of stuff in the net
We have done the following to display GL account text in ME51N & ME21N
We registered the SAP Object: R3TR FUGR MEACCTVI for our SAP Release: 701.
- In SE51, we added the field text_sakto to screen 1100 (Single Account Assignment) in program SAPLMEACCTVI.
- Via SE80, we added the following code to the flow logic of screen 1100 under PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT: MODULE fill_text_sakto in the function group MEACCTVI.
- Within the MODULE fill_text_sakto we added the following code:
FORM FILL_TEXT_SAKTO .
SELECT SINGLE txt20 INTO text_sakto
FROM skat
WHERE spras eq sy-langu
AND saknr eq MEACCT1100-SAKTO.
ENDFORM.

Account assignment tab is missing in PR(item details)

Hi
When we create PR,we select 'K' in the Account assignment in the item overview details,which will allow us to fill the details for G/L account and cost center in the item details,but to surprise account assignment tab is missing ,even we checked the layout settings also,No clue on this.
Is something am i missing or any problem.

Yes,you are right,after giving Account assignment category also it is not displaying
that tabb in item details.but for all users it is able to diplay,only one user is having this problem,is there any particular setting for this in the user or some layout settings?

OIM task Assignment Tab

I am trying to understand how the assignment tab works. In process Def, I have a task, like create user. That has a assignment tab which has one entry in it. It has escalation time and a Default Rule. I entered an escalation time of 10 mins and then proceeded to create another entry below that. However, it says it needs a rule and the Default rule is not applicable since its already used by the first entry.
What rule do I need to create? What should be in that rule? Thanks in advance.

You have to create Task Assignment Rule for this. That Task Assigment Tab is used for assigning that task to someone.
Suppose you have approval workflow and you have create Approval Task in that. Then you can assign it to anyone to approve that task.
In Task assignment tab, you select the user or group who will be responsible for completing that task. If you are giving some time duration in Escalation then it will escalate after that particular time but it tales value in ms.

Custom Fields in Cost Assignment Tab

Hi,
We have a requirement of displaying a users 10 favourite cost elements in the cost assignment tab while creating a shopping cart.
To meet this requirement we want 10 rows to be displayed in the cost assignment tab. Each row will consist of the following fields:
Account category
Cost Center/WBS Element
GL Account
Check box/Boolean Field.
The user will select the check boxes or update the boolean fields of the row/s he wants to select.
To achieve this requirement we have added the fields (as per sap note 672960) to the following structures/tables:
INCL_EEW_PD_ACC_CSF
BBP_C_ACC_F
BBP_C_ACCFD.
Also added the fields in customizing (TCode SPRO) as decribed in the note.
The problem is only one each of account category, cost center/WBS Element and GL account is displayed one below the other, whereas we want 10 rows to be displayed.
How do we go about achieving this requirement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I'm not too sure of the release you are on, but on SRM 5.5 there are two that would be able to solve your requirement.
1) BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY. Here you can set a Favourites list for Cost Centre or WBS. This means when they go to the Account assignment screen the default 'F4' list will include their 10 fav.
2) BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI. This can be used to default the account assignment rows in. It does mean they will have to remove the wrong ones, or you could set them all in with a zero percentage, and the user would have to setup the split.
My suggestion would be to use option 1. Its not quite the way you have suggested with bespoke fields, but it is quite easy for the user to use.

Use of Assignment tab in Data Manager

Can someone give me some real time example of using Assignment tab in data manager and what is the need of assignment.
In Data manager guide it's written that : "Instead of retuning boolean value, we can use any data type and we can assign this value to user editable field" ... Can some one explain me with example?
I also want to know "Is it possible to define assigment in Data Manager and on the basis of users i can assign this assigments with the help of workflow?

Assignments provide users a convenient way to fill in fields.
You can set values for a certain field using the "Assignment" workflow step.
Eg: Approval Status
You can set the value for the field "Approval Status" based on certain other fields.
Several assignments for the same field can be defined.
Assignments are selected during runtime to calcualte the field value.
You have to be in Record mode to create Assignments.
Select the table for which you want to define the assignment.
The assignment is later bound to this table which is unchangeable.

Material planning currency in assignment tab of Internal activity

Hello Friends,
In the network configuration profile using OPUU, I have included material cost element in the activity parameter tab of internally y processed activity having control key PS01.
The inclusion of cost element as above will allow user to plan material value in the assignment tab of the internally processed tab. However, the currency displayed for planning is USD and that too is grayed i.e. non editable. Necessary screen shot is appended.
Can we change this default currency to object currency? Our is a global system in which is controlling area currency is USD but object currency is country specific i.e. for India INR, for SG the same is SGD, for Thailand it is THB etc.

Select a location that is assigned to the plant chosen

When trying to create a shopping cart I get the following errors:

Back-end data could not be read
SRM 7, support pack 9 extended classic.
I have replicated plants from R3 Back End and everything looks fine in BBP_LOCMAP table and talbe looks same in QA and DEV.
We only get this error in our QA system, DEV system is ok.
The shopping cart is picking up the company code and location from the org chart correctly.
I see postings in the forum for this error but no clear solutions or causes provided.

Thanks everybody we have solved the issue.
I missed a checkbox in config designating SRM as the local system. This is in define system landscape node.
We found issue by
Put a break point in function module BBP_PD_MSG_ADD. Once you hit one of your messages, check the call stack to see the calling function/method who triggered the error message.
