Selection  problem (No pixels are more than 50% selected)

whenever I use ANy selction tool I get this message: No pixels are more than 50% selected. So I can't do anything to separate area of a photo. BTW, magic selection works. this just started a week ago after years of never seeing this message. Thanks for the help.

Quit the editor (quit PSE if you have a mac), then restart it while holding down ctrl+alt+shift command+option+shift for a mac). Keep holding the keys till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

    Are you certain that you are on the correct layer?
    As a test, try this:
    Select the object with one of the selection tools, e.g. lasso, selection brush.tool. You should see "marching ants" once the selection is complete
    Place the selection on its own layer (Layer>new>layer via copy or CTRL+J). This will place the object on a separate layer.
    With this layer active, use the move tool to move/position it
    Does that work?

    I get this message when trying to delete (or otherwise change) a selected, intersecting area - selected by the magic wand (I'm trying to make two intersecting rings). I don't know what causes the message and why I cannot change anything with this selection, and it's driving me crazy. I have looked for solutions, but in previous questions asked about this problem, the answers don't apply to my situation. To be sure:
    I am in the right layer.
    I have tried to make the image size 500% percent bigger, but that did not help.
    I have no feather at all (0,1 px).
    So can anyone help me?

    Hi Peter, good question! I think that I make the selection in the standard way: I mark the two intersecting areas (both in color) with the magic wand, which works fine, but then, when I try to substract one of the selections (again with the magic wand, but with changed settings) or do anything else with it, it gives me the message. I can delete both selections, however. But there may be something I'm missing, taking your question into consideration - like some setting, I have accidently changed. But I have checked your suggestions, and they are not the problem.

    I am combining 2 related records of legacy data together that make up a marriage record.  I am doing this in APEX using a before header process using the following code below which works well when there are only 2 related records which joins the bride and groom record together on screen in apex.  I have appended a field called principle which is set to 'Y' for the groom and 'N' for the bride to this legacy data
    However there are lots of records where in some instances there are 3, 4 , 5, 6 or even 1 record which causes the PL/SQL in APEX to not return the correct data.  The difference in these related columns is that the name of the bride or groom could be different but it is the same person, its just that from the old system if a person had another name or was formally known as they would create another duplicate record for the marriage with the different name, but the book and entry number is the same as this is unique for each couple who get married.
    How can I adapt the script below so that if there are more than 2 records that match the entry and book values then it will display a message or is there a better possible work around?  Cleaning the data would be not an option as there are thousands of rows of where these occurrences occur

    It's indisputably true, which is more than can be said for the results of querying this data.
    The data is from an old legacy flat file database that has been exported into a relational database.
    It should have been normalized at the time it was imported.
    Without having to redesign the data model what options do I have in changing the PL/SQL to cater for multiple occurances
    In my professional opinion, none. The actual problem is the data model, so that's what should be changed.

    When I add a seventh page to a custom package layout for printing whatever changes that are made to that page take affect on page 1 not on page 7, i.e. if a I rotate a cell on page 7 the affect is not seen on page 7 but it is on page 1 which messes up the layout on page 1, and if I add an eighth page any changes made to it are seen on page 2 and so forth.  How do I prevent this so changes made to pages after page 6 are independent of the earlier pages?

    There are a number of Bugs in Firefox that can cause that to happen. A few of those Bugs have been fixed for Firefox 4.0, but the developers decided not to "backport" those fixes to 3.6.x or 3.5.x for some reason.

    I have a document with several layers.
    If I right click a layer in the "Layers UI" and then click "Select pixels" then the pixels in that layer is selected.
    Then I can use the "Paint bucket" to e.g. set another color for the selected pixels.
    Is it possible to "Select pixels" from more than one layer, and then use "Paint bucket" once to change color for all the selected pixels in one go?

    You wont be able to FILL more than one layer at a time.
    But loading seections can be done by holding control SHIFT and clicking on the layer thumnail in the layers panel. Each click will load more area depending on which layers you load

    Thanks for responding. I do not know what was going wrong but now it is working fine.
    The problem is that I was not able to compile a function with two select statements in it. If I could comment one of the select statements it was getting compiled. But now it is getting compiled with both the selects.
    Now since we are at it can you solve another of my problem. I want to see the output of my function. If I write DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE statements in it I am not able to see the output. Is there anyway that I can call my function and it can show the output on the screen.
    I am using Benthic Golden 32 editor. Is there any way in it that I can call my function from it ?

    I don't quite understand some of this but of course you can bind more than one object into the RMI Registry. If you use different names the clients will use the object corresponding to whatever name they looked up. If you rebind different objects to the same name, the clients will use the object that was there at the time they did the lookup.
    Clustering is a problem for RMI/JRMP because stubs are not location-transparent: they refer to the originating JVM. If you need this kind of functionality I would use RMI/IIOP and do some CORBA magic in the ORBs at both the clustered servers. CORBA references are location-transparent so a service can be logically 'moved' from one JVM to another.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? I've tried it all. I called the apple support and they checked on their iPads. They all did the same and they couldn't help me. They suggested trying this way. I'd like to be able to plan a few years ahead and the year view would make thing so easy!

    Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
    Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Importing From Excel file will not import assignments correctly where there are more than one assignment per task

    I am trying to import an excel file ... see below.   It appears if you select both Tasks and Assignments tables it will not allow you to do this, says file is not in a project recognized format.  So I import Tasks tab first then run the
    wizard again and import the assignments tab while selecting merge with project option.   This works with one exception:
    If there are more than one assignment per task.  It does not merge in the 2nd assignment, only the first.
    Is there a way to import a task with 2 or more assignments?

    To figure out what the format for the file needed to be, I started with a MPP file and from project saved as Excel and selected the "Project Template" file.  Now I am trying to import that XLS to see how it works

    I did a quick test using your example although I didn't include the Predecessor or Outline Level fields to keep things a little simpler. I imported the Excel data into a new Project file with a single import of task and assignment data. It is very important
    to set up the Excel Workbook correctly. On Sheet 1 I entered the task data (Name, Duration, Start). I did not include the ID or finish date as that is redundant - Project generates its own ID and will calculate the finish date based on the start date and duration.
    On Sheet 2 I entered the assignment data basically just as you show it except I didn't include the Units.
    The data imported as expected.

    Per my understanding, the NewForm.aspx is not editable when there are more than 60 or 65 columns in the list.
    Is there any warning or error message when editing the NewForm.aspx page in SharePoint 2010(screenshot would be better)?
    I tried creating a list contains more than 60 columns, then edit the corresponding NewForm.aspx in SharePoint Designer 2010, it works as expected.
    I suggest you create another list and make the test again to see if it is an issue of this list.

    Is this PSE 12? You should not be logging out. In PSE 12 log in = activate. When you log out you are deactivating PSE. Just leave it logged in.

    That list includes all the apps that you installed to your device directly from iTunes on the computer, or which were purchased on the iOS device and subsequently transferred to iTunes on the computer.
    If you right click on any item in that list and choose "Show in Windows Explorer" it will open your iTunes application installer directory on your computer, which should be:
    C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
    In there are all your saved application installers (*.ipa files).  You need to delete those actual installer bundles and then make sure to NOT allow the "transfer purchased content" when you sync or backup in iTunes (as that will just put them back on your hard drive).
    One caveat to removing those, is that if you ever wish to keep a specific release of a particular app, and the developer replaces the iTunes/App store version with something else, your sole source for your older version will be your own stored copy of it.  So for example, when PDF expert released their iOS 7 update, and charged everyone full price for it, if you wished to keep using the previous version on your own devices, then you needed to keep a copy of the installer on your own computer as that older version is no longer available in the store front.
