i can no longer find this option in CS5,
how can i change font type and font size of highlighted/selected block of text? like previous DW versions ?
by switching to CSS from html in "selection properties" bottom panel.
i see an option to do that using CSS. Is this the only option now ?

What happened if on some pages of my site, there are JS code inserted to display content pulled from other remote host.
Will my own page or site CSS font setting override the JS code font & size setting as well ?
or those JS code can display content using their font selection setting independently ?

How do I edit font size in acrobat 8?

I am trying to make edits to the font and font size in acrobat 8. I have clicked on the text toolbar under advanced editing and selected my text. All of the forums I have read say to right click on that text and select "properties." When I right click, my acrobat does NOT give me the option for properties. The closest option is "text style" which does not give me any font or font size options - only bold, underline, etc. Can anyone assist me in where I ca find these options or why it is not giving me the "properties" option?

Edit font size standard report

Hello community,
I try to edit the font size of a standard report but I can't find any menu within APEX to edit this reports.
I also tried to edit it within the SQL with '< f o n t s i z e=130%">' || ... || '</ f o n t >' but this did not work.
Can anybody help me? Is there a menu which lists all the standard reports and where is the chance to edit this?
Or is there any other chance?

Hi Lisa,
The font is defined in the style sheet (css file) that is referenced in the Page Template. You can override the style by adding your own style (with the same name as used by the columns in the report - you can check that using Firefox+Firebug or the Developer Tools in Chrome) after the APEX standard CSS. You can also put this CSS in your Report Template or in your Page (if it's only for one specific page).
A good practice is not to include CSS or HTML in your SQL query. Because SQL is logic and HTML/CSS is presentation and these two shouldn't be mixed up.

Properties panel (for Content Types) not showing when creating sharepoint based document

Hello,
I've created three Content Types to populate when creating a new Budget document. The problem I'm seeing is that my pc always opens the Budget doc in Word Online and the properties box does not show. When I create a new Budget doc with my test pc, where
it always opens in Word, the properties box does show the three Content Types.
Is the idea of Content Type and the properties window supposed to work in Word Online?
My pc is Win 7, Office 2010 and IE 11
My test pc is Win 8, Office 2013 and IE 10

Hi Jimbo, they don't work online. You should change your library settings to open documents in client program.

Acrobat Pro XI - I can't seem to be able to edit font sizes in a PDF Fillable Form

I have a PDF fillable Form which I wish to complete except for a few fields that need to be completed each time the form is submitted, and save it with those static fields completed and signed with an image of my signature.
Sometimes the font seems to auto change it's size to fit in the field it is intended for, other times it is either too small to read or too large to fit in the box and be readable. I've chosen the arrow tool and the menu choice Edit; Edit Text and Images, and they don't really seem to do anything.
One part of the form has two fields for phone numbers (Business and Home) and the Business entry is always too tiny to read, while the Home field is OK.
Aside from that, there are also two boxes with drop down menus which say Select with an arrow next to them, and one of them for example has choices of Male and Female. If I select one, later when the form is printed, the gender choice is overprinting on the word Select, making it hard to read.

Thanks for explaining that. I wish I had "Locked" all the fields before I started then, since I did get somehow get a couple of them rearranged by accident and it took some (not a lot) of work to get them back in the proper order.
For the present file, which I am not adding captions to, how would I set the "read only' property? I looked around in the Tools area and the only thing that looked possible that I found was Protection; Restrict Editing but I didn't go farther yet because it wanted me to set a password before proceeding.
Is it possible to make individual fields "Read Only" rather than the whole document?
As for the signatures, what I did is sign on a piece of paper, scan that into a JPG file, and then choose "Sign" from the top menu bar between the Tools and Comment choices:
This allowed me to drag the image of my signature to the line on the form where I am supposed to sign it, and place it there. Then when I save the form with that signature on it, if I open it again and go to Forms Edit, I get a message that the form contains no Form Fields, and asks it I want Acrobat to detect fields for me. If I choose yes, it then detects fields that were not previously filled in, but not the fields in which I had placed default entries before saving it.
I see where you mean about Signature on the left pane, but if I open that after loading a PDF that I signed using the above procedure, it detects no signature. So the "Digital Signature" you mention must not be the image of the signature like I am using. So if I want to make the image of my signature into a "Digital Signature" that can be verified, do I have to go to some third party paid procedure like Verisign or EchoSign or something or can I somehow self certify the image of my signature?
I notice, as a side issue, that if I upload the blank unmodified PDF Form to Acrobat.com, it lets me fill it out and saves the file with a "form" extension, and they have a menu choice to Sign, but if you choose that you just get a box in which it expects you to draw your signature with your finger or a stylus I guess, but the result doesn't look much like my signature, and then if you save it to the computer, it does save it as a PDF file, but if you try to print it, the printed document is blank, so that is kind of useless.

Autosaved as Unix Executable Files after editing font size?

When I open a .txt file in TextEdit, and change the font, in the Finder I see a new Unix Executable File appear, with (Autosaved) after the file name. This is in addition to the original .txt file - so there are now 2 files of the same name showing.
However, when I manually save the file, the Unix exe file disappears from the Finder, leaving the newly saved .txt file.
Is this normal? If not, please let me know what else I can try to fix it. I've already tried both suggestions in this thread & neither of them worked.

Ok I noticed that TextEdit preferences shows an option to "delete the automatic backup file" so that's why it's disappearing...
...but what happens if TextEdit quits on me unexpectedly (which it has before)? Will I be able to open the autosaved Unix executable file with TextEdit or will it be "unrecognized?"
If anyone can give me confirmation that their autosaved files are Unix exe files and/or if they've been able to open the Unix exe backup files in the program they were created from, that would help.

I think, valuation category is at client level...Not sure, please verify the table if it is MARA or MARC...If so, you can'tmake it mandatory for a set of plants only....Its either mandatory for all plants or just optional...

I do not have AA6 available right now (I can check at home this evening). I am also using AA Pro, not Std. In AA7, there is a text box tool that is a commenting tool. When I started typing, a properties toolbar came up that had the font size and such. I haven't figured out how to get the toolbar after the fact. In AA8, I selected the text box tool and then went to view and selected the properties bar (the font size and all showed then), or use Ctrl-E when editing the text. I have not been able to figure out how to edit the text in a text box after you have created it - think it is a mental block right now. Bill

in my project i'm using wad for my reports
when i execute these reports from wad and convert it into pdf format the font size of the pdf report is very small.
what can i do in order to rectify this?

My only font size option is px

I am using Dreamweaver CS6.
The only font option I ever get is px choices.
The CSS option Type Font size dropdown is greyed out and locked on px
I have read that the default option should be percentage, but I cannot get that to appear.
Advice would be appreciated.

I am using Dreamweaver CS6
Until today I could only use px choice for font selection in CSS rules. That applies to existing rules or any new rules I created.
However, following advice here, I went into the CSS code for that rule, changed Type Font-size from px to %
The rule immediately permitted me to select other versions of font sizes for that rule. The example shown in the screen shot is where I have not yet amended the coding. Maybe you can see that the Type Font-size is greyed out to px only. However, once I go into the rule and amend the code the drop down then permits % and all the other choices for that rule. But for that rule only.
Any new CSS rules the same applies. The new rule offers only px. font size. However, once I change the code manually the rule gets "freed-up"
However, In the properties window at the foot of the screen indicates that I can select % or whatever font measurement I wish. That is new.
From my point of view I have an answer to my question, although it is a sort of work-around.

MSNBC font size on pages are maximized. Clicking the (-) make font smaller icon just make it bigger. What now?

I have tried the following fixes:
Page is zoomed in or out
Some websites may not look right at different zoom levels. To reset the page zoom setting for the site, click on the View menu, select Zoom, and then select Reset.
Minimum font size set
Some sites do not display properly with a minimum font size. To reset the minimum font size:
1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click OptionsOn the menu bar, click on the Firefox menu and select Preferences...At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Edit menu and select Preferences At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Tools menu and select Options...On the menu bar, click on the Firefox menu and select Preferences...At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Edit menu and select Preferences...
2. Click to select the Content panel.
3. In the Fonts & Colors section, click Advanced....
4. Change the Minimum font size to None.
Page styles disabled
You may have inadvertently set the page style to "No Style." To ensure Firefox is set to use the page's default style:
* At the top of the Firefox window On the menu bar, click on the View menu, then select Page Style, then click Basic Page Style.
Now that the page is using its default style, it may be displayed correctly.

You can Zoom In and Out using Ctrl + "+" and Ctrl + "-" or holding Ctrl roll your mouse scroll. To reset Zoom level you can use Ctrl + "0" (zero). If you want to zoom text only you can check "View->Zoom->Zoom Text Only" option.

Change font size in Jdev?

I have a monitor with fine dot pitch, so I want bigger fonts. I found Tools->Preferences->Code Editor->Fonts, but this only changes the editing window. Is there some way to scale up the fonts everywhere (editing window, menus, logs, navigators, etc.) all at once?

I assume you are using JDeveloper 11g and Microsoft Windows XP.
You can change a lot of the IDE properties, including the font size, by editing the file "*ide.properties*" that you find in
C:\Documents and Settings\<OS Username>\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.<version number>\o.jdeveloper
where
<OS Username> is the MS Windows username
and
system11.<version number> is concatenated with the exact version number, eg system11.1.1.3.37.56.60 for JDev 11.1.1.3.0

How do I get to “CSS Properties”? Do I click on Window > CSS Styles?
When I click on Window > CSS Styles, I do not see the text “Custom Class.”
I tried inserting (manually) the HTML code you suggested for the paragraph I want to change and nothing happened. I tried [<span class=”16px”>text came in here</span)]
I read in a tutorial that after you create a CSS style sheet, all you have to do is select the text you want to apply it to and then attach the style sheet to that text. I can imagine, however, that there are some special steps that one has to perform in order to do this.
