Selections not displaying in Photoshop CC

When using any selection tool in Photoshop CC it will not display the selection - it will only dosplay the sele ction when I go to the Edit option on the Toolbar.
I'm using a HP Envy Laptop running Windows 8.1.
Any ideas as to what might be going on?

Windows Fonts Will Not Display In Photoshop Elements 9

Hi,
I have a new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit computer and have just installed Photoshop Elements 9. When I use the "Horizontal Text" tool and click on the fonts drop down list to select a font, it only lists a small number of fonts and does not display all the standard Windows fonts such as Arial, Times Roman, Verdana etc which all display perfectly fine in my other applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher, Notepad etc. Has any one got any ideas as to why all my Windows fonts are not displaying in the drop down list? Is there a special setting I need to configure for Photoshop 9 to see all my Windows fonts?

Thanks very much for your reply. Yes I am using a Laptop and you were spot on. If I use the UP/DOWM cursor key's I can scroll through and see the list of all my fonts ok. I was originally trying this by using my scroll up/down wheel on my mouse and for some reason it will not scroll the list (I did not think to try the cursor keys) so thanks very much for your help!

Dynamic Selection not displayed from tcode ZME5A but from se93 yes

I have made a copy of standard program RM06BA00 and transaction ZME5A.
Everything works except Dynamic selection which is not displayed.
When I run transaction from SE93 Dynamic selections show up.
Do you know why this happens and how to fix it?

Hi,
You problem probably is related with the "container" of this screen. Check if it still in the screen 1000, because this program is a report and if you change some screen parameter, the screen is recreated and elements inserted by user may be lost.
Also, check the program names link, like:
CALL SUBSCREEN %_SUBSCREEN_%_SUB%_CONTAINER INCLUDING 'SAPLSSEL' '2001' .

ALV selection not displayed/shown

Hello,
I have a question concerning the ALV:
In NW 7.0 everything was fine and working, as of EhP1 the selection for one ALV is not displayed.
...the selection is done alright and also corresponding events are raised. Nevertheless there is no visual representation for a selection - meaning the yellow/orange highlighting of a selected line. It is neither done for the lead selection nor for "normal" selections.
Other ALV in the same application (though different component) work fine and as far as I can tell all are initilized similarly.
Does anyone know this effect and - most important - how to correct it?

Hello all,
We were able to solve the issue of selections not being visible - although they are correctly set in ALV/context.
-> The default view of the window has to be set to the ALV usage!
Don't ask me why, but in case the default setting is on the empty view, no selections will be visible on the UI. As soon as you set the ALV usage as default, the selections will be visible again.

Image not displaying correctly Photoshop CS5 Extended V 12.1. (Same file OK in PS Elements)

I am having a problem with Photoshop CS5 Extended V 12.1.
The problem:
When I open some files, some shades of BLUE colour is displayed as BLACK
However the same file opens and displays correctly if I open it using Photoshop Elements V9.0.3.
When I save the file as JPEG and re-open it, the problem returns.
Opening the JPEG file in any other application, including PS Elements, does not cause the problem
Source of files
The original files came from a Nikon camera, saved in RAW format. It is possible that the original files were corrupted in some way as the shots had an unusual blue cast - which was easily resolved by Photoshop when I originally opened the RAW files. However, I'm not sure.
The problem is not universal as I've not been able to reproduce it with any other files (RAW or JPEG).
I have calibrated my monitor display settings sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (default)

Thank you for yur reply, Curt. Yes, I do have the original RAW file. When I open it in PSE and PS, the colours appear correctly AT FIRST as shown here:
However, when I select "Open Image", it appears as here:
You will see that the blues in the lady's scarf and the wolly hat of a man in the forground are appearing as black. However, when the file is saved as JPEG or PNG and printed or viewed using PSE or Pait, or any other medium (even Premiere Elements), the colurs arer fine.
However, the same process when followed in PSE, does not result in the same outcome. The image displays correctly.

Cell(Row) Selection not display in OOPS ALV

Hi all,
I am not able to get the cell(row) selection in the oops ALV when i called it second time.
I am displaying some information using oops alv in 100 screen. After user action on 100 screen i am calling 200 screen with different information which is also display in oops alv. When i displaying information in second time the cell(row) selection is not getting displayed.
For both ALV the fieldcatelog is different.
Initially i tried using same container but i face same problem, so i am trying to call second alv in new screen.
But problem remain same.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem ?

Auto Select not working in Photoshop CS6--Why?

I'm experiencing the auto-select in Photoshop CS6 not working when it is checked and I click on different layers. It worked fine in 5.5, but I am now using PS CS6 cloud and it works only sporadically. Any reason why?

Dreamweaver CS3 not displaying all PhotoShop CS4 galleries correctly

I maintain and support a camera club website for the Peoria Camera Club in Peoria, Illinois.
I recently added 6 new galleries to the website.
These are the current galleries: Nature 1,Nature 2,Nature 3,Nature 4,Open 1,Open 2,Open 3,Open 4,Open 5,PJ 1,Creative 1,Creative 2,
Urban Landscape.

Here's the story:
Running a browser test on my local location everything works perfectly and all of the images are accessible and work smoothly.
After uploading to my server, a number of galleries are not working correctly.
I have followed this scenario.......
All of the galleries seem to be functioning correctly except for Nature 4, Open 3, Open 4, and Creative 2.
I recreated Creative 2 from scratch and re-uploaded with no effect
First, all of these galleries worked in the testing mode using internet explorer on my laptop.
All of the images appeared and ran perfectly.
Unfortunately, the four previously mentioned galleries displayed a smaller number of images although the count on the page is correct.
I’ve re-uploaded the galleries using Dreamweaver including the gallery html page.
That accomplished nothing; things were the same.
I used Filezilla to re-upload the 4 galleries plus the gallery html page.
Filezilla runs a lot faster that Dreamweaver.
Again, nothing changed.
I have no explanation why the majority of the galleries are working and a few are incomplete.
These galleries were created in PhotoShop CS4 Bridge.
I have searched the web and the forums at Adobe and NAPP and other bread crumbs from the net.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It seems to fail at the point where there are missing images. For example, Nature 4 fails to display thumbnails in image 11, which according to its group.xml is the same as the following 404 Not Found images.

I didn't check the other two galleries, but it is probably similar. I am guessing that you somehow forgot to upload those images or they got uploaded to the wrong folders.
If you have FireFox, I recommend getting the LiveHTTP Headers and/or FireBug add-ons to help find these 404 Not Found headers.
BTW, I realize you already have a ton of files online, but you should be aware that it is not considered safe to use spaces in filenames or directory names. http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1738.txt

We are extracting 0ACCNT_ASGN_TEXT data to ZACCASGN InfoObject. I wonder why the selection for 0LANGU is displayed in the InfoPackage -> Data Selection Tab.
The Selection Check box is checked in the DataSource/Trans. Structure Tab. I could see the same in the R/3 - RSA3 also. There I entered the selection and viewed the data.
There are records with many languages, but we require only data related to one Language.
How to make this out ?

Installed Fonts do not display in Photoshop

I downloaded some fonts that I need to crate an ad and they show as installed in my fontbook (even display as a font option in Microsoft Ofice) but I can't use these particular fonts in any of my Adobe applications. Does anyone know what may be causing this and/or what I can do about it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Even if they go into the system folder, they should show up the next time you launch Photoshop.
It sounds like the OS font cache is out of date, and CoolType (Adobe's type management code) doesn't know that fonts have been added.

Images not displaying in photoshop though file is open

Photoshop is opening my files but doesn't display the image unless I drag the window. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Fonts not displaying in photoshop

for a while not ive been suspect that all fonts i have in the windows font directory werent coming up when i open photoshop
i installed four more fonts recently and this confirmed what i had thought for a while
i couldnt find any of them at all !!
Does anyone know whats going on ?
i have 800 fonts in my windows directory . and im using CS2

There seems to be no limit but it will slow things down and one bad one can crash the program.
If you have got a load of freebies, do what Don said and install a few at a time so you can spot any corrupt ones. Also you can view them in Windows to decide if you want them before installing them.
And better still, get a font manager that will activate only those fonts you need for the current task.

Why ID CS4 does not display as Photoshop?

I am working with professional photographs of sculptures where the background is almost white (2% C or 1 % K) and these pieces in Photoshop are displayed perfectly clean. But in Indesign some of these photographs display them in a frame with slight amounts of percentage (loosing the white space); this is a problem to get a good view and think that the printed process could elevate these numbers to something wrong. IMac 21", high resolution preview, etc.

First, make sure you have View >Display Performance... set to High Quality Display and either turn off Enable Object Level Display or make sure it is set to High Quality or Use View Setting for individual images (right click the image to get the object level settings).
It's a litle hard to figure out what you mean by a frame. Is this just a stroke color applied to the imag frame in ID, or is it part of the image? A screen shot would help a lot.

Using photoshop elements 9 as an external editor - after saving in Photoshop the results do not display in Aperture

I set up my external editor as Photoshop Elements 9, I follow the instructions to edit a selected image in the external editor. When finished editing in Photoshop, I hit Save (not Save As), and go back to Aperture, and the work I did in Photoshop does not display in Aperture. Is there anything else I need to do to make the work I did in Photoshop display in Aperture?

I had the same problem with PSE 10, and this soution worked for me. Thanks. But is this the real answer? Isn't there a way to save the file without having to add an "f" to the suffix? It doesn't seem to make sense to me. Is it an Aperture problem or PSE? I went to the Apple store amnd the so-called aperture/photoshop expert spent an hour trying to figure it out and finally got the answer by reading this post!!!

Pdfs and screenshots opened in Photoshop are appearing pixelated, or not displaying at all.

Hi. I'm on a new iMac system. (iMac 27" retina - Yosemite OS X 10.10).
Whenever I take a screenshot and open it up in Photoshop by using File/Open and locating the screenshot, it is appearing pixelated.
The same thing is occurring when I try to open a pdf, or the pdf doesn't appear at all.
Here is a saved photoshop file (jpg) of how a screenshot is appearing in Photoshop. I just took a screenshot of this page for the purposes of this exercise. Other screenshots appear even more pixelated.
The only reason I am opening screenshots in Photoshop is to crop them before posting anywhere or sending to anyone.
I'm selecting 'use the embedded profile (instead of the working space).
I'd attach the image of how a pdf is appearing in Photoshop but it is not displaying anything at the moment. A file does open to the right shape/size of the pdf but it appears blank.
I'm using File/Open locating the pdf file, I click OPEN, the specs I put in are: 300dpi, Select: Page1, Anti-aliased is ticked, Crop to Bounding Box, width: 19.8cm, height 8.8cm, contain proportions is ticked, 300dpi per inch, fit page, Bid depth: 8 bit, CMYK, Thumbnail size: Fit Page.
Which is everything I used to do on my old Mac, and which worked perfectly, but not working now. Wondering if it's a bug or if I'm missing something in Photoshop, due to it being an upgraded Photoshop version (CC2014).
This is how the pdf file of an advertisement I need to insert into a brochure appears in photoshop. If I open it again, it will again render differently.
Btw, the screenshot or the pdf file previews fine when about to open it (in the Finder/folder).
