Selective Call Fowarding
Hello,
I am currently using Cisco Call Manager 9.1.1
We have a director who wants all calls to be forwarded to his secretary. However, if a call comes through that the secretary wants to transfer to the director her number is also being caught in in the forwarding rule.
Is there a way of enabling selective call forwarding, or altering the rules to allow the secretaries DN to bypass the forwarding rule in place for all other numbers?
Apologies for the plain-english, I'm not well versed in CM.

I think Call Forward Override may be exactly what you need
Cisco Unified CallManager provides a service parameter (CFA Destination Override) that allows the administrator to override Call Forward All (CFA) when the target of the CFA calls the initiator of the CFA, so the CFA target can reach the initiator for important calls. In other words, when the user to whom calls are being forwarded (the target) calls the user whose calls are being forwarded (the initiator), the phone of the initiator rings instead of call forwarding back to the target. The override works whether the CFA target phone number is internal or external.
When the CFA Destination Override service parameter is set to False (the default value), no override occurs. Ensure the service parameter is set to True for CFA override to work. See Service Parameters Configuration in the Cisco Unified CallManager Administration Guide

You can manually forward a text message, however.
If you use iMessage, then any iMessages will be delivered to all devices that use the same Apple ID for iMessaging. -

Hi all,
Short description : SELECT call performance increase through archiving records that satisfy a particular criteria like a cut off date. Is there any way i can intercept a select call on the real table and make it return records from the real or archive table based on the criteria (dates) issued in the call.
Long description:
I've been given the job of decreasing the execution time of a select statement on a particular database consisting of a few lakh records. the premise is that not all of these records need to be searched through for a normal query. only audit reports need access to the entire table. the additional premise is that the separation of tables should be transparent to the program (no changes can be made to the code). given these premises, i've been toying with some ideas that have not helped me out.
* Read about Fine Grained Auditing that kind of allow a trigger on select which would change the sql query to select from either the real or archive table( not sure if this will work either). But my production system uses oracle 8i. so no FGA :-(
* thought of create/replace a view that would restrict the rows based on a cut off date. but this would require code changes to make select calls on the actual table whenever an audit is required.
Is there any way i can intercept a select call and make it select from one/ both of the tables based on the criteria (dates) issued in the call.
any other suggestions on this kind off transperant archiving is welcomed.Do your queries have a WHERE clause? If so, and the table is partitioned by date, Oracle can implicitly eliminate all the older partitions.
If your queries are not currently limiting themselves to a particular date range, you could also create a parameterized view with sys_context. Without changing your application, you would need to ensure that there were different users for different roles (i.e. an audit user would have a login trigger that set up a different context than a login trigger for a normal user). If you can make small changes to your application, you could add a call to set the context whenever you want to change roles.

Selecting call centre options on 9320
When calling a call centre or hotel and asked to "select option 1 for ....." how do I do this? I can't find a combination of keys that has any effect - I'm sure there is an easy answer!
I think this has been a BIG problem for some time. Plus Net however has a website for traffic shaping which tells you what services you should expect to receive in speed etc http://usergroup.plus.net/shaping.php
BT say that Total Broadband is 'unlimited' which we know is meant to be 'endless' but there are limitations. Iam certain as the technology becomes much better and BT understands the users capacity needs, things will become clearer.
However, some of the Call Centre's just read from a script and have NO common knowlegde at all which is a shame!

Call Fowarding - accidentally removed feature
I enabled call forwarding from MyVerizon on the web, but forgot to turn it off before I left my computer. So I tried to use the MyVerizon APP on my phone to remove it but I think I removed the feature as an option? It now says Call forwarding not available for my phone when I try to revisit the same web interface. any suggestions?
Are you trying to set up or remove call forwarding? If you want your phone to ring (no call forwarding) find another phone and use it to call yourself. If it rings then you have no forwarding. If you want to forward your calls you dial *72 and the 10-digit number and press send on your device. Eg- *728005551234 then send. When you want to cancel *73 then send. I would try these steps first because they will save you lots of time calling if they work.
I just logged on to my account and searched for call forwarding and when I selected my line to forward I got the same message. So it seems like, though it's an option, you cannot do it online.
Try my above steps by forwarding your calls to a phone that you can hear ringing when you set the forward. For this you will need to have 3 phones available, yours and the one you want to forward to and the one you want to use to call. I promise this will take you less than 5 minutes to test rather than calling in and getting told you are ale to forward calls already. -
Freestyle 3200 - Unable to select call centre menu...
I've become unable to use either of my Freestyle 3200 handsets to select an option on any companies call centre menus.. i.e. When asked to select option 1 for sales, 2 for support etc, nothing happens. I've checked the base setup and its set to "Tone". I also have another corded phone on the same line that allows me to make a selection, therefore i guess a line problem can be ruled out.

Product drilldown reports - Not linked when selecting call up functionality
hi all,
i running the tgt/act/var cumulative report (s_alr_87013139) and values are showing as expected, but when i try to view the order involved in the material, by selecting the material number and click on the "call up report" functionality, system will be showing the "no records selected" message. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks

You should check that there are only two summarisation levels for each Cotrolling area (for reports with material number and without) - please see the note 422543. For some (unknown) reasons sometimes there are more than two levels per controlling area in the system. The drill down report then tries to read from the wrong level and can't find any data.
If you have more than two in one controlling area you should delete them (within TA KKDV). If the results in the drill down report are not correct afterwards, you should delete all levels and run TA KKRV (data collection) again afterwards.

Can I setup to forward calls only if I am not available on skype after it rings first on my skype account and then transfers the forward #??
The issue you have different people calling them whilst maintaining the support engineers individual numbers unless you wish to renumber them?
Issue 1 - When the support team makes a call their DN is shown so the destination can call them back directly
Issue 2 -How do you block these call but allow other support members to call them
1 Configure Mask so when the support team makes a call, the CLI is the support desk- That way the call back number is not their own one
Next Create a translation for each Support staff DN with the PT_EVERYONE and translate their number to the support desk - any only dials the individual support staff DN is directed to the Help Desk
2. How to stop users calling them directly if they know their number before the MASK change- the better way rather then renumber them is to allocate a new partition e.g PT_SUPPORT_ONLY to the support team and copy the normal CSS` and add this partition to the new CSS

There are now two CSS , the general partition which still exists and every non support person is allocated to and a new one which now contains the new PT_SUPPORT_ONLY as well as PT_EVERYONE.

IR does not initiated on call selection - Outbound Call
Hi Folks,
I have successfully created call list and IR created (Outbound activity).
Call List Execution:
Selected call from Call list, it populated account information and correct account and contact selected.
To start recording Interaction rectord clicked on IR, it should populated corresponding IR assinged to Call but rather it create new IR. But it correctly set status of corresponding IR to 'Attempted'.
Almost all the time this happens but sometimes exeptionally it opens correct IR.

How do you use a main applet to call other child applets?
Hello Everyone!
I have created three separate applets that animate different colored walkers that walk across the web page with each applet doing what I need them to do. I need to create a main applet that displays a component that allows the user to select how many walkers(1-3) they would like to see displayed walking across the screen. The main applet should call only one walker applet if 1 is selected, call two applets if 2 is selected, or call all three applets if 3 is selected.
My textbook has covered how to call other classes in an application but not a main applet calling other applets. I have gone through the tutorials but have not found anything related to what I need to do. Google didn't have any good ideas.
Another possibility that would work would be to have one applet with each walker having its own method to be called based upon the selection. Then again, my textbook didn't cover calling methods within an applet.
Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated on these issue.

UnclewhoRemember, an Applet is nothing more than a Panel (or JPanel for a JApplet) - basically an empty graphics container waiting for UI or graphics commands.
You do not have a "main" applet as you do when you create an executable application which requires the 'main' method.
The best thing to do, is simply do an HTTP Redirect to a page created with the desired number of "walkers". In your cause, the most you'd need is 3 walkers, so 4 pages - 1 redirect page, and then a page with 1 walker, a page with 2 walkers, and a page with 3 walkers. -

After the Type-pool you can use Parameters or Select-options to create the selection screen field..
If it is a Modulpool program then you can create a selection scren field like

Message and Email notifications during phone calls
Whenever I am on a phone call and an email is received a very loud notification occurs. In my settings I have the sound for notifications, media and system off. When I am not on a phone call I do not have hear anything when an email or text comes in only during an active phone call. Is there something I am missing? I did not have this issue since upgrading to Android 4.1.1.

There is a setting called "Use extra vol. for calls" which when checked puts a option on the screen during a call to increase the call volume this may be affecting your notifications.

I'm developing a dialog programming. 1st screen is the selection screen, i need to code the input for Parameter -> Material number , Select-option -> Plant. Problem hits on select option Plant.
If we code via normal type 1 executable program, i just need code like -> Select-options: S_PLANT for mara-werks. Since right now im in dialog programming then i need to code my own LOW and HIGH value. I have done that. But i need to code in the Multiple selection/Extension button that next to HIGH.
Do u guys know is there any FM that helping to create Multiple selection/Extension button? Like standard once click on it, it contains single value, ranges, exclude single value, exclude ranges...
