Self-defined workspace not remembering every layout detail

I'm trying to get Dreamweaver CS5.5 to save the following two settings in my self-defined workspace but it doesn't want to do it.
1. Split the screen between Code and Design views
2. Split the screen horizontally; not vertically
I set these, create the workspace, but when I exit then come back in, the program displays the file in design view only. If I click on split, it splits it vertically. Any help would be appreciated. I just recently installed Dreamweaver cs5.5. Before I was using Dreamweaver MX 2004 and it had no problem remembering my screen layout preferences.

Browsers do not remember realm authentication details

Hello,
When I try to access pages in a protected realm, I sometimes have to enter the username nad password 5 or more times. Sometimes just twice. Even if I tell my browser to remember the password/username, it still prompts me to authenticate later on. I don't think it's a browser problem because this affects Safari, Firefox (win and mac) and Internet Explorer.
Why would it try to authenticate so many times? And why doesn't it remember the authentication details? Would the webserver be sending out a different kind of identification ( or whatever?) each time, so the browser thinks it's a different site? (Perhaps related to that 16080 cache?)

Since it's affecting multiple browsers it has to be something server-side.
Realms are keyed off both the hostname and the URI in combination with the realm name. You should look at the URLs in question, make sure they all have the same realm name assigned, and check the web server logs to see what the server is saying about the authentication (e.g. look for any 'authentication failed' messages).
It is also true that the performance cache (:16080) port can affect this if you're using redirects since http://www.yoursite.net/ and http://www.yoursite.net:16080/ are completely different sites as far as the browser is concerned, and therefore would require separate sign-ins. Try turning off the performance cache to see if that helps.

Workspace Not Remembering my Palette Options

When I open Photoshop I am now getting this annoying Palette pop up called ACCESS CS LIVE that is attached to my Color Palette. Even though I close my Color palette and create a new Workspace, it pops up everytime I open Photoshop again. Anybody know how to get rid of this annoying thing?

S061 Location and Planning --->S501
if we campare standard info structure with self defined info structure ..screen layoutis are not same ..
1.Means *Characteristics Restriction * Functional Location hierarchy it is not appearing in Self defined info structure
2. S064 Object Statistics---> S505 in this case we don't have F4 option in Obejct Class field
Any one can tell how can i solve this probleme.

WIndows 7 and Server2008 machines will not remember network discovery preferences, requires setting every start up or wake up.

I wondered if anybody here could be so kind as to help me solve this situation
i have two Windows 7 machines and Server2008 machines will not remember network discovery preferences,
i am running software on the windows server machine that collects data and serves information to two windows 7 machines, and network discovery is required for this purpose
these machines are configured in a local stand alone network configured as a workgroup the only other items on network are none PC based equipment that the server happily communicates with and reads data from
once the network discovery is set for the network the system runs as expected but on every start-up (or wake up) the network discovery is lost and need to be re allowed. this is the case in both windows server 20008 r2 and windows 7
how do i make these preferences permanent. so that it will restart and re establish communication its self without intervention
am i missing a setting or if not is there a way i can script the the selection of preference on each start(/wake)up.
the final user need to be able to turn system on/restart and use it with out having to have any IT/networking knowledge to get system running.

You can use group policy to enable network discovery so that it is always configured
1. In the Group Policy editor on a Win7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 computer, open the GPO that you want
to use in the Group Policy Editor.

Security", and then "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security - {policy you have open}".
3 Right-click "Inbound Rules", and then click "New Rule".
4 In the Rule Wizard, on the Rule Type page, select"Predefined", and then select Network Discovery from
the list. Click Next.
5 On the Predefined Rules page, ensure that the check box is on each rule that is part of the Network
Discovery group, and then click Next.
6 On the Action page, select "Allow the Connection", and then click Finish.

Why self-defined access sequences of free goods can not work?

I have maintained access sequences of free goods self-defined.but when i creat the SO it does not work!
when i used the standard access sequences ,it is OK .

Dear Sandy,
Go to V/N1 transaction select your self defined access sequence then go in to the accesses and fields and check all fields are activated.
Make sure that these fields are flowing in your sales order.

Panel layout not remembered

I have Photoshop CS4 in Windows XP. A problem has developed with remembering the layout of docked panels.
After the window is minimized, or the program is restarted, the bottom 3 panels are reduced to single lines (containing the tabs), and the other panels are expanded to fill the space.
I can re-expand a panel by double clicking the line, are restore the layout by loading the saved workspace, but it's tedious to have to do this each time the program is restarted or restored.
'Remember Panel Locations' is checked in the Preferences.
The problem may have developed when I temporarily set the screen to a lower resolution in order to test the behaviour of another program.

Now up to Firefox 8 and the problem persists. Cannot go to the www.turnitin.com page and login as I used to do -- Firefox does not remember my username or password.
Still works on Windows, and with other browsers... It would be great if a fix is available.

ITunes still not remembering login details

Hello all,
Is anyone experiencing the fact that iTunes "STILL" does not remember login details for premium Podcasts? I put in the username and password, click the little "Remember Password" box, log out as a test and then, nothing. No remember jack. I was hoping that Apple would listen and fix this but alas they only care about what they care about.
Did anyone find a work around to this problem. Thanks in advance.

To pay so much many and to get so little support.
How hard is it for Apple to fix this problem? I am sure the mods will come by and delete my post because I did not speak highly of Apple and the wonder and joy that they bring the world but how about simply making iTunes work as it is advertised? If it is supposed to remember a username and password, how about this? Apple if you are listening, is this toooo much to ask? To make your customers happy.

Dreamweaver not remember FTP details

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with dreamweaver at the moment. for some
reason its not remembering the user and pass in the FTP details of
each site. i looked through a couple of threads, and deleted that
temp file that was mentioned, but that didnt sort the problem.
i have windows vista home premium installed. i dont think
this is the problem because when i installed dreamweaver after i
installed vista, it remembered my ftp details without a problem.
the problem started happening about a week ago, and i cant think of
anything thats changed on my computer since that time.

What you want to do is get it to work reliably over Ethernet first, then tackle wifi. Power off the modem. On your macbook, delete the Ethernet configuration and the Wifi configuration. Power up the modem, then connect the mac via Ethernet. Create the new Ethernet configuration and see if you can connect.

Windows 8 does not remember secondary SATA hard drive letter

So, I bought an HP Pavilion with a 1TB HDD with Windows 8 installed. I burned the recovery disks, wiped the 1TB (Seagate) drive and installed a 250GB (WD) drive. I installed the WD as the primary boot and OS, and formatted the Seagate as a basic drive for
storage. I reinstalled from the recovery disks, and the OS went exactly where I wanted it to, but the Seagate doesn't list in the My Computer display. It does appear in the BIOS, and it does appear in Disk Management.
I searched the internet and found the tips about using Disk Management to assign a drive letter to the second drive. SUCCESS! Or so I thought. I can see the second disk in disk management, and can successfully assign a drive letter so that the drive appears
in My Computer; but after any/every reboot, I have to go through the same process over and over and over again. Windows 8 is not "remembering" the drive letter settings for this particular drive.
It doesn't seem like a big deal, but this drive is intended as a shared drive for the "Homegroup" so that everybody can use it as storage. Not everybody in the small office is familiar or comfortable with going through this, so I need the system
to "remember" the disk settings all of the time.
The 1TB Seagate has the following properties:
Disk type - Basic
Partition style - MBR
File system - NTFS
Does anyone have any ideas? Suggestions?

The drive letter miss after restarting the computer, right?
I would like to suggest you update its driver firstly, and then do the following:
open a command prompt with administrator privileges, then type:
Diskpart
List disk (you will get detail disk info, if you only have one disk, it will show disk 0)
Select disk 0
List volume (you will get detail volume info)
Select volume # (change # to corresponding number)
then enter:
attributes volume clear hidden
After that, restart the computer and reassign the drive letter to that volume. And navigate to the path below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search\VolumeInfoCache
Which lists all the current drive info. check if there is any conflict.

How to delete self defined "Swatches"?

I work with Adobe Design Std CS5 Illustrator (German version), newly installed - not migrated from an older model! - on iMac27, i7, SSD and OS X 10.8:
German: Ich habe viele eigene Farbpaletten (Farbfelder) unter "Benutzerdefiniert" gespeichert. Ich kann diese von dort auch laden, kann aber die überzähligen "Paletten" nicht löschen, da ich den Order "Benutzerdefiniert" oder die entsprechenden Dateien unter "Adobe Illustrator/Vorgaben/de_DE/Farbfelder (oder Swatches)/..." (Angaben gemäss Hilfe) nicht finden kann. Ich sehe nur die von Illustrator vorgegebenen Paletten. Liegt nun Illustrator Hilfe falsch oder liegt das Problem bei Apple OS X 10.8?

Thank you 1.craighead, but you misunderstood. I should be more specific: as I have the German Version it is hard to find correct terms for the English Version. In the German Version the terms "Farbfelder"(Swatches) und Farbfeldbibliotheken"(Swatch Libraries) are not consistently distinguished in Illustrator Help
What did I do? In my CS5 German Standard Version I saved self-defined Swatch libraries (Farbfeldbibliotheken) the usual way and they are obviously stored under "Benutzerdefiniert (User specified?) as suggested in Illustrator Help.
What can I do? I can activate such self-defined Swatch Libraries.
What is my problem? I cannot delete obsolete "Swatch Libraries" neither using the dialogs within the Swatch Window (Fenster Farbfelder) nor delete them from the subdirectory "Benutzerdefiniert" (User defined?) using Mac OS X 10.8 Finder. Safari 5.1 does not 'remember me'

On a certain website I use a lot, Safari 5.1 does not 'remember me' - i.e. I have to log in to the site every time I go there, whereas I was 'remembered' on previous Safari versions. This seems to be a Safari 5.1 issue; Firefox still remembers me on that website.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Autofill tab.
Make sure User names and passwords is selected.
Now click the Edit button. Delete the url for the site you're having problems accessing, click Done.
Now open Keychain Access /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Delete the keychain for the site you have problems logging into.
You can use the search field top right corner of the KA window to locate keychains.
Quit then relaunch Safari.
Login to the site you deleted the keychain for.
Enter your user name and password.
You should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain, click Yes when prompted.
If you still have problems go back to Safari / Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click Details
Delete the url for the site, click Done. Quit then relaunch Safari.
Try again.

Firefox 7.0.1 does not remember/fill in username and password in Mac version although on Windows it works, so it's not the website preventing password being saved. what is up and how can this be fixed ?

There are several sites where I now have to type in my username and password each time I return, such as turnitin.com. (I'm a teacher and use this for grading). Friefox used to be able to remember this for that site and it still works at my office where I have a windows machine. Not working on my Mac OS 10.6.8 and it is really annoying to have to retype every single time; it's not a financial site or anything so why can't the Firefox browser remember and re enter my info?
And no, turnitin does not currently support Firefox 7 but it is only up to firefox 4 and up until now firefox at least worked to remember passwords.
I looked at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Username%20and%20password%20not%20remembered and I have checked all the recommended browser settings and am not set to private browsing; the sites where this happens are not set in exceptions to remembering, and they are not set to be cleared automatically
