Self-made ring tones & iOS 7 ?

I made some ringe tones that used to work perfectly.
After the iOS 7 update they don't appear on my iPhone, although I have selected "sync all ringtones". Does anyone know how I can get them back on my iPhone?

This has happened to quite a number of people. Try your iTunes again and go through the various iTunes screens to see if there is a specific place to select your customer Ringtones for downloading ot your iPhone.

Start with your finger at the bottom of the screen (about even with the home button) and swipe in an upward motion. There should be a row of icons at the top of a grey field. if the quarter-moon icon is bright white, tap it. If it was (and still is) dark, take the iPhone in to be evaluated by a qualified technician.

Are they in the Tones folder of your iTunes library? If so, and you select to Sync Tones on the Tones tab of your iTunes sync settings you shouldn't receive that warning. (Mine sync just fine and I have iTunes Match enabled on my 4S running iOS 6.)

Since upgrading to the newest ios 6.1.26 itunes isn't showing my app list on the left side of the screen, nor does it show all of self made movies, only the purchased ones. Anyone else experiencing a similar problem?

If you are talking about iTunes on your computer use the iTunes View menu item, "Show Sidebar".
If not, I have no idea what you are describing.

I read on another discussion that sucking air out of the headphone slot works, I tried it and guess what, it worked.......weired....apparently something to do with moisture accumulation....!!!!!!

Since I have installed iOS 6.1.3 on my iPhone 5 I have sometimes problems to start a phone call. Everything looks fine, but no ring tone... A workaround is to stop phone app in the multitasking bar. But this is more than inconvenient ;-) Any solution?

In this cases everything looks fine, but no ring tone is there and after sometimes the phone informs me that no connection can be estabilished (its a German phone, therefore I am not sure about the message in English systems). A workaround is to stop the telephone app in the multitasking bar (double click on home button, hold the app symbol pressed for some seconds, close app). Next several call work after this.
I am not sure if an incomming call would work in this mode...
Faces anybody the same problems or has solution for it?

I want know how to use the ring tones I made on my i-phone

I have a ring tone app. I used it to create some 15 second ring tones from the songs on my i-phone (3Gs). I emailed the ring tones from the app to my email account and then I added them onto my i-tunes in the ringtone section. I can not figure out how to take the ringtone and make it work on my phone. I've synced my phone and I don't see them being added. Can someone give me the steps to take after I have the ring tones saved to my library in i-Tunes? Thank you!

Thanks buddy. never thought it was that easy. my facetime still indicates validating account even the wifi signal is ok, as I was able to download apps. I checked my email and nothing came in yet for verification or validation. I will try it later again.

HI, I would like to be able to hear different rings/tones for emails coming from different email accounts. Eg, One sound for incoming email from gmail and another sound for incoming e-mail from Yahoo.

Every time I sync my iphone 4 with itunes my ring custom ring tones change. I have 7 custom ring tones in itunes. One time it will load 1 custom ring tone the next it may be 3 then the next it is one again. The last time it gave me 4 of the 7.

The first time it will load 1 of the ring tones and the next time it will load 3, The next time it will be back to 1. If I have assigned one of the custom ring tones and it does not get loaded it goes back to the ring tone that came with the phone. The last time itunes gave me 4 of the 7 so I have not tried to sync it again. I am using iTunes 10 (10.4.10), and windows 7.

Have you ever had all 7 of them synced before? Are these ringtones you made yourself? Is there a chance they could exceed 30 seconds in length? Is there a chance you have moved the original file location on the computer? May need the answers to a couple more questions to try and determine an answer.

Just bought iTunes song and can't make a ring tone..??..

I just bought a .99 cent iTunes song and when I right click on the song in iTunes it tells me that "This song cannot be made into a ringtone" "This ensemble can no longer be made into a ringtone"

You can make a ring-tone using Garageband out of your own music library. It's very simple. See the link I posted. Of course you need to have Garageband to do this.

You would have to create the ringtone. Google will find several ways to do this.
You can only buy ready made ringtones from the ringtones asections of the itunes store on your iphone.

I have a frustrating problem with my iPhone 5 post ios8 installation. The ring tone won't sound when phone is locked/switched off, although the vibration does work. I think it has something to do with "do not disturb"

Hi, I have a frustrating problem that seems to have occurred post iOS 8 installation. When my iphone5 is switched off the ring tone fails to sound i only get the vibration. If i am using my phone and a have an incoming call then the ring tone works as normal. I think it has something to do with "do not disturb" ... i see from the menu in "do not disturb" that under the heading "silence" there are two options "always" and "only when the phone is locked" This does not seem to make sense as i have to choose one or the other!
If anybody can help advise me on this problem i would be very grateful.

So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.
