(Self Solved) HP Pavilion M7 Intel HD 4000 Driver Problem & Question

I...i am kinda mad.
Ever since i formatted my laptop a few months ago, in ANY Game i play, i CANNOT choose (or even SEE for that matter) a 1280 x 720 resolution option. Before i formatted, i could see it all the time.
If its a Fan Game (Doujin), i can see it because its not a retail game and its graphical options are dependant on the game itself, and not ur system.
But any retail game, i cannot see a 1280 x 720 resolution option.
Everything else works PERFECTLY fine, but this right here is annoying.
When i went to see my driver version for my Graphics card, it was set at 1/21/2012...
...What...Why?
And the same thing when i checked the Drivers download page here, 2012. Everything.
Why? Why are u guys only at 2012?
The official Intel Page has Drivers up to 5/21/2014.
Why are u 2 years behind when updated drivers can EASILY improve my performance and experience.
I cannot even manually install them because my laptop see's the OEM Drivers as the "newest".
This is drastically reducing my peformance and i beleive this is happening ever since i updated to your "Newest" Driver (2012).
I would like to know if there is a workaround for this and at the same time, why your lastest drivers are only 2012, when intels newest Drivers are set at today.
Update:
Nevermind, solved it myself, rolled back my driver to base and manually updated.
Still HP, theres no excuse to only have 2012 Drivers guys, after i updated i saw like 6 more Resolution Options in all games, and my FPS in games dramatically boosted , 2 - 3x's. and my PC's actual performance increased as well. Update guys, update.

Hi,
HP has version 10.18 but only for Windows 8.1:
   http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&softwareitem=ob-124655-1
I think for Windows 7, the testing process is still going before release to public.
Regards.

  • Intel HD 4000 driver for 8.1 released 10/17/2013 by Intel Corp. (Will not install on G580)

    As we know...
After upgrading to Win 8.1 on G580, no HD audio/graphics driver for Intel HD 4000 is available in the driver matrix and device (w/Dolby V2) fails to operate. I am not watching any HD movies on my G580, but the missing HD driver also kills any graphics driver function, which does affect my work.
Windows defaults to MS Default Video Graphics device, as listed in driver detail in Device Manager- where the Intel HD 4000 has a bang. The Dolby V2 launches a Find Hardware wizard at every reboot, I finally installed it.
On 10/17/2013 Intel released the driver package for Intel HD 4000 for Win 8.1.
On 11/14/2013 I found this installer digging around at Intel. However, it fails. (NoNo! Contact OEM message)
Fortunately there is an SDK version for Lenovo to work with on the same page.
So, Lenovo, are you aware of the new device driver at Intel? I need my Intel HD 4000 graphics adapter to work.

I did update my windows 8.1 and it delivers me the drivers needed. Just to notify.
    Thanks,

i have upgraded to Win 10 and the original intel 5500 driver didnt work  then i had to upgrade the driver  from device manager / so i updated the driver but after a restar i got a black screen i went to safe mode and removed the driver but still stuck @ black screen // i downloded the last driver from intel web site for windows 10 but still the same issue  i checked the driver page for my mode p211ne but only  a wireless monitor update and wireless button

the problem has been fixed by  1- reinstalled win 10  2- win 10 removed intel hd 5500 driver as expected  , but i didnt update it manually nor by update from device manager nor make any changes ,  so i ran windows 10 update tool from system and made all 100% update after restart things are ok  now every thing is ok and new intel hd 5500 driver has been installed  by win 10 update tool : 10.18.15.4248 //driver date : 29/06/2015 also invidia 840m driver has been updated thanx for any try to help and if any one still stuck with black screen the problem is that win 10 read two monitors instead of 1 so you have to click "windows button + P while black screen already on  " and try to hit and click on first choise or other choises till you can see the desktop , sure u cant see any thing while u are trying to choose but you should try or may be you connect another monitor or tv and fix this issue by win button + P good luck

  • Windows 8 (64) Intel HD 4000 driver wont install on x230t

I have installed all the up-to-date drivers on my x230t running Windows 8 (64), but for some reason this one gives me an error:
"The setup program failed to install one or more drivers. Setup will exit"
Here is the driver for Version 9.17.10.2828
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?&DocID=DS030728
I downloaded the one directly off the Intel site for their 4000 Graphics chip for windows 8, but its an "older" version.
Any ideas on how to get the newer driver working?
    Thanks in advance

You have to disable driver signature verification, because these drivers are not digitally signed.
Go to settings-> change pc settings-> general-> advanced startup to get to the boot menu where you can do this.
     After the boot menu appears:
    Troubleshoot-> Advanced options-> Startup Settings-> Restart
After the new boot menu appears:
Press 7, disable driver signature enforcement.

  • Intel 945GM display driver problem after installing Vista on A100 PSAA8

After upgrading to Vista on Satellite *A100-207 PSAA8E-180049EN*, display adaptor "*Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family*" does not work. In Device Manager, it reports "*This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)*". Using the Vista driver on Toshiba Website and also tired latest driver from Intel Website to no avail. Re-installed all Vista drivers in the order recommended on Toshiba Website. Also tried multiple removals and re-additons of various drivers to no avail.
If someone out there has the same model, I would appreciate if you could send a snapshot of device manager screen (collapsed to show sub-devices under main devices). Also a second snapshot of device manager showing resources (Device Manager / View / Resources by type). My e-mail address is: [email protected]
Greatful for any other ideas or suggestions.

Problem resolved by a fresh install of Vista followed by all Vista drivers in order as described in the document on the Toshiba website. Thanks to all who reviewed this question. Don't hesitate to e-mail me for details at [email protected] Happy New Year!

  • [SOLVED] Very strange P43 Neo-F + sata drive problem in vista...

Well I'd been running Windows 7 flawlessly apart from a few non-related motherboard problems, so I decided to install Vista.
Basically my main OS drive (sata) is always detected, but then occasionally (more often than not) my secondary sata drives will simply not be listed in device manager once the system is booted up. Now, I've seen this problem before, and it was sorted by right clicking 'my computer' going to 'manage' and setting the drives up to be detected. But this simply isn't the case here. They don't appear anywhere!
It sometimes sorts itself out once I click 'Scan for hardware changes' in device manager and they magically appear as if ive just plugged in a USB device, which is fine I guess...but each time it swaps the damn drive letters around! So having media library's in Winamp, etc or putting a shortcut toolbar to my music on the taskbar is all but pointless!
All of my hardware apart from Bluetooth has drivers installed for it, and nothing seems to be conflicting at all. Does anyone have any idea why this is
happening? because in all my years of computing I've never seen something as strange as this...
As far as I  know I have the latest Intel INF drivers installed (9.0.0.1011)
    This is the board: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148024

I can't see how it'd be PSU because Win7 was just fine...but here it is...
    PSU: OCZ XStream 600W PSU
    100~240Vac 10-5A 50/60Hz
    +3.3V(36A), +5V(30A), +12V1(18A), +12V2(18A), +12V3(18A), +12V4(18A)
    Specs:
    Dual Core E5200 2.5GHz
    4GB Corsair RAM + 2GB OCZ RAM
    nVidia GeForce 9600 GT
    MSI P43 Neo-F
Not detected (at Vista startup) drives:
    Hitachi HDP725050GLA360
    ST3320620AS
(they show up perfectly fine in DOS, but I remember only the drive below appeared during Vista setup drive options...)
    Detected Primary OS drive:
    WDC WD800JD-00LUA0
My drives in BIOS are set to IDE mode (which has always been fine for me in the past). I set it to AHCI Mode to check if it boots but it just sticks on the same screen (flashing underscore). I'm sure it's driver related but I'm totally out of options now...you'd think installing the ones provided on the MSI site would get it working... :/
Another thing is under 'Storage Controllers' in device manager, there is only an IDE Controller. I'm sure there should be a SATA one there, too?

  • Intel D946GZIS network driver - problem

I'm trying to get Zfd 4.01 ir5 to work on the abovementioned board,
which has an internel intel(r) 82562G integrated adapter, which is not
    recognized by the kernel.
ifconfig gives nothing back, i've tried insmod -f e100 / e1000 (with paths),
but this gives back "init_module: no such device".
intel however, distributes packages containing only the e1000.ko file,
but this is only usable on newer (2.6) kernels.
Kernel version we're using is 2.4.32-pre3.
Does anybody know which module is needed for this adapter?
ir7 is (currently) not an option, since we're in a bit of a version
freeze for Zfd at the moment (I'm calling it "being scared of change").
    Any help appreciated!

When trying an old eepro.o module, I'm getting "init_module: Device or
    resource busy" ..
I found an old Redhat 7 thread that describes a problem with the eepro.o
    module
and the initialization of the hardware, but the mentioned fix doesn't work.

  • Hp Pavilion Elite m9517c New hard drive problem

Me and my bro brought this hp 6 months ago and it stopped booting, it would get stuck on the blue hp welcome screennd would not respond what so ever to any thing period. Did a little more research and found out it was the hard drive giving me trouble, so i I buy a new hard drive of the same model, and now I cant install windows vista on it because it wont recognize the cd-rom, then I tried using a flash memory stick, added all the necessary drivers but the hp wont recognize the flash memory stick and I cant install the necessary drives, So I do more research and some people say to use the older model cd-rom units, and I find an old one and on this hp motherboard of m9517c it has no slot big enough to connect the older cd-rom drive. I see a slot on the motherboard but it's not long enough to fit the old slave/master cord. I'm stomped. Does anyone have any insight that can lend a hand please.

Are you sure the problem was the hard drive and not the motherboard? Usually if the hard drive is bad, it will attempt to boot and then say boot disk failure or no operating system found.

  • Intel HD 4000 graphics drivers for windows 8.1for lenovo p400 touch

Hi, I have ideapad p400 touch and I updated my laptop with windows 8.1 and there are no proper Intel HD video drivers which support windows 8.1. Windows 8.1 come with Microsoft drivers 10.18.10.337 but brightnes of the screen goes to zero and the screen is very light. Some had same issue please help.

I have read a number of similar problems with the Intel HD 4000 driver becoming non-functional after an upgrade to windows 8.1. VGA, HDMI, and USB are dead in terms of being able to display video. I was sorely disappointed with Lenovo's response that Intel had not created a functional HD 4000 driver capatible with 8.1 and therefore, could do nothing about it. Intel was of no help either. However, Microsoft did provide a quick, and effective solution ... for free! Solution: Just reinstall the 64 bit windows 8 (not 8.1 driver) from Lenovo's website. A shame that Lenovo couldn't have shared this simple solution. However, after a day, my computer went blank and began a restart, upon completion the driver was disabled again. So the second part of the fix is to go into PC settings and stop the automatic updates of windows. Windows detected the older driver, tried to update it, only to recreate the same issue again. So the fix in summary: downloand the 64 bit Intel video driver from the Lenovo website, the driver file name is 1hvh14w8. I would suggest saving the file, before installing to speed things along should the driver get knocked over again from future windows updates. Go to PC settings and go to the recovery and updates tab and deselect the automatic windows updates. In the interim Lenovo, get your act together, and stop making your customers run around in circles. A long term fix to dovetail to microsoft's updates would be great.

  • Updated drivers for intell graphics 4000

I am trying to get OEM (HP) updated graphics drivers for the Intel graphics 4000. Paid money to play a game on my laptop, and had no problem until they came out with a new updated version. Now the game crashes when it gets to checking graphics settings? The games tech support people said I need the new Intel graphics driver. when  I try to update the driver from Intel, it tells me that i have an OEM driver and to check with the manufacture (HP) for an updated driver.
HP's latest driver is dated 09/2013 intel's latest driver is dated 01/2015 and there have been 2 updates since 2013. Is HP going to put out an updated intel graphics 4000 driver, Please tell me how to override OEM and update from Intel??

Sorry mate, your gonna have to downgrade your driver in order to get the game running. I too have an Intel HD 4000 however mine is not OEM meaning i can upgrade with intel. Trust me I have overriden this in the past and your display driver WILL CRASH if you attempt it because it can only run HP's modded version. Just run the installer for the old version of HP's driver and run the game afterwards. P.S Sorry, HP have updated my 3000 driver (rare move by HP).

  • Can I disable Intel hd 4000 on HP Pavilion g4-2014tx?

Well I have a problem on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare because it seems to only recognize my Intel hd 4000 and not my Radeon hd 7670m. I tried updating both graphics card but it causes an error everytime. On the intel hd it says error code 31 and error code 43 on the AMD Radeon. Please how can I disable the intel graphics or update the radeon to the latest driver.

    Hello @frztbyte99,
Welcome to the forums.  I understand the issue you are having with the game defaulting to the intel graphics instead of the Radeon hd 7670m. To help me out a little more on this can you possible post back what Operating system that is on your notebook.
How to find out what Operating system I have.
At the same time you mentioned that you have updated the drivers.
If this is the case. I would do a system restore back to the time before you updated the drivers if you can.
This document will help you out with how to do a Microsoft System Restore for Windows 7.
Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)
As well you may want to go and remove the drivers for both graphics cards and download them directly from the HP support page that provides the software and drivers for your system.
This link with direct you to the Drivers page for your system.

I hope this helps and if you need more,  please post as much information as you can about your system configuation that you have not added already.

  • Intel HD 4000 on MBP 13-inch gives 'jumpy' graphics in certain games on Windows

In some games, namely Alan Wake, Deus Ex: HR and Battlefield 3, the Intel HD 4000 and Core i7 in my 2012 MacBook Pro get me very annoying jumpy graphics performance. I don't expect much from BF3 on this machine. However, many people on YouTube seem to be able to get the game barely running on the lowest settings. Although their performance is low, no one seems to have this jumpy effect in their videos. If only I could find out how to fix it, I'll be happy with 30 fps. The jumpiness is highly annoying and game breaking.
I can describe this choppiness as frame-lag, but with the graphics adapter possibly smoothing this out (even though I don't see this happen to other people on YouTube). In effect, it looks like the game is alternating between running normally and then in slo-mo. This happens a couple times per second. With certain settings, this happens in other games as well. However, I was able to easily play Saints Row The Third and GTA IV on this computer. I don't believe this issue occurs in OS X, or maybe it's just that I don't play too demanding games on OS X. I have seen this issue happen more in Windows 8 (not virtual, Boot Camp).
Is this some sort of defect? Can this be solved with a driver change, some setting or tweak? Does my computer need some cleaning?

You have to disable driver signature verification, because these drivers are not digitally signed.
Go to settings-> change pc settings-> general-> advanced startup to get to the boot menu where you can do this.
     After the boot menu appears:
    Troubleshoot-> Advanced options-> Startup Settings-> Restart
After the new boot menu appears:
Press 7, disable driver signature enforcement.

  • ThinkPad T530 and latest Intel HD 4000 drivers (15.33.14.64.3412)

Hello All, I have the latest version of display drivers for the Intel HD 4000 chip, version (9.18.10.3359) from the official T530 driver page, however I see that Intel has updated to their latest version (15.33.14.64.3412). I am unable to install to the latest due to this error message: driver being installed is not validated for this computer. I'm assuming that Lenovo hasn't released a custom version of this driver package... is there a way around this?

Why intel? Are you sure its not an issue related to the firmware update issued by Apple a few months ago?

  • GPU in after effects cs6 on mac mountain lion with Intel HD 4000

Is its possible to enable GPU in after effects cs6 on mac mountain lion with Intel HD 4000?

No, OpenGL Swap Buffer support (Level 1) support for the HP4000 is for Windows only. Level 2 and 3 support is not available either. You'd need a more powerful NVIDIA card for Level 1, 2, and 3 feature support.
