Self Time

Does anybody know if is it possible to record Timecards with unit of measure "Day" instead of "hours" ? Is there a workaround to do this or do I need to customize the software..?
Thak you all!

Prashant,
The Timesheet Status could be found in RDB tables, called MSP_TimsheetStatus or your could use the Timeshetline_userview, to tie in with the user info.

  • 5D Mark 3 Shutter Release or Self-Timer Mystery

My 5D Mk 3 is only three months old. The last few times I've shot with it, the shutter has demonstrated a mind of its own. I'll be walking with it on the tripod or have it hanging on the Spider Holster and I hear it taking photos!
As embarrassing as it might be, I'm hoping that it's just my own ignorance with the camera and not a real problem. Maybe I have a setting somewhere causing it.
I have it on Single Shot and was using the 2-second timer. There's no bracketing set.
Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas what might be causing it?
Wednesday I took about 60 shots of which five of them were of the sky, taken by the camera while I was walking around with it on the tripod, and one of a crooked landscape while it was hanging on the Spider Holster.
Today, I took 33 shots of which four of them were taken by the camera while it was hanging from my Spider Holster, just seconds apart.
It doesn't start doing it right off the bat.  Today I shot 19 photos before it started.
    Any suggestions appreciated!
    Bev

    Bev,
As an experiment... you may want to test the camera by putting it into "AI Servo" or switch the lens to "MF" mode... and leaving it on for a bit (alter the auto sleep to a longer duration such as 30 minutes).  You don't have to watch it... just note how many frames it has taken (or put in an empty memory card) and then return to see if it has taken shots while you were away.
In "One Shot" mode, the camera will normally insist that it can lock focus before taking an exposure.  It's possible you have a flakey shutter button which is grounding contacts ... making the camera believe that you've pressed the shutter even when you haven't.  If this happens more often than you realize, but the lens cap is on and/or the camera didn't have enough light to lock focus, then you wouldn't necessarily even know it occurred because the camera would not have taken a photo (due to inability to confirm focus lock before shooting.)  But in AI Servo mode or with the lens in manufal focus (MF), the camera will take a photo whenever the camera believes the shutter was pressed completely and it would take the shot immediately.
I would probably test the camera for a while with the self-timer / remote sensor mode DISABLED... as well as doing this for a while with self-timer / remote sensor ENABLED in an effort to establish a pattern.
With all the cameras I've had, I have never had a camera spontaneously take an exposure that I didn't trigger.

  • I have a Canon Reble XTI, and would like to know how to set the self timer

I have a Canon Reble XTI, and would like to know how to set the self timer

If you don't have a copy of your manual, you'll want to download a copy.  You can get it from this page:  http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/eos_slr_camera_systems/eos_digital_slr_cameras/digita...
The instructions are on page 49 -- but really you should ready through the manual.  You'll learn a lot of capabilites of the camera that are worth knowing that you'd likely miss if you don't read it.
There is a button on the back of your camera near the right edge of the LCD screen and it has an icon of a clock.  If you press that button, you can use the left/right arrows to enable the self-timer.
It's a 10-second self-timer but it also puts the camera in a mode which allows it to be triggered via Canon's IR remote.
the current remote (which still works with your camera) is the Canon RC-6... it's not expensive -- just one button and it triggers the camera via IR.

  • N73 Photo self timer. Why?

Can anyone please explain how the h**l you're supposed to use the camera self-timer on the N73?
With a standard digital camera you set the timer and then run away and pose for the shot. On the N73 it's physically impossible to stand the thing up so it will take a photo using the timer - it has no flat surfaces to stand it on! You have to hope there's a beer glass or wall to prop it up against, and even if you can stop it falling over for long enough it doesn't point straight ahead, it's angled upwards.
    What is the point?
Am i missing something here or have Nokia just not thought this through?
    K.

But the whole idea of a smartphone is to REDUCE the amount of junk in your pockets, not increase it.
There is no pocket-sized product available on which to stand an N73 to take photos with the self-timer.
A link to the product you suggested instead of posting purely to increase link ratings to your own website may have been more useful.

  • How to set self timer in Canon PowerShot SD800 IS

    Hi,
I am owning Canon PowerShot SD800 IS  digital camera. How do i set self timer to shoot my picture when there is nobody around me.
    Regards,
    Kaushal

There is a button on the back of the camera for the self timer. Below the function button is a clock symbol. press this to activate the self timer and select the option for how much time to delay the shot. Page 18 of the basic guide (http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/1/0900001461/01/PSSD800ISIXUS850ISCUGba-EN.pdf) gives the full instructions. Note that the self timer cannot be used in all modes. See page 144 in the advanced user guide (http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/8/0900001458/01/PSSD800ISIXUS850ISCUGad-EN.pdf).
    Hope this helps you.

  • HDR App with Self-Timer Feature

Does anyone know of a HDR app that also has a self-timer feature?  A self-timer feature would allow me to get into the photo.  Thanks for any help...

Here are some additional info: I've emailed the developers of Gorilla Cam and following their suggestion I've turned off my iPhone and after restarting it worked ok... for some time. Camera Awesome and Camera+ also works ok after iPhone restart.
I take a lot of photos and it looks like every few hundreds of them I need to restart the phone.

  • IPad app - self timer for video?

I'm looking for an app for my iPad 2 that is a self timer for the camera when in video mode.  I'd like it to delay at least 10 seconds and it would be great if I could preset the recording time to say, 5 or 10 seconds.   I've looked but can't seem to find anything.
    Thanks, Brad

  • IPhone iOS 7 No camera self timer, why?

I have been an avid iPhone supporter and for the first time find myself at a loss while on holiday with the family. There is no timer on the iPhone Camera iOS7. For a smart phone not to have this is madness. I ended up having to use my wifes Samsung S3 as her phone had the functionality I needed. This is a grave mistake guys. You  have great support from your users and to allow something as basic as this to be short compared to a sumsung phone is crazy!!! I really hope you guys get onto of this.

The reality is you're whinging about something you could've easily solved in a matter of seconds, but chose not to because of some arbitrary rule you've set yourself only allowing yourself "one app". OCD?
Basic functionality of a camera is the ability to take a picture. Anything else is an extra. Enough said.

  • How to make a Countdown timer Script for Live Streaming

    I have flash media server...
    Here's a Scenario:
User wants to do a Live broadcast.. But.. they don't want to
just press record and have it starting Streaming Right that second.
They need a Delay to prepare for their Live Broadcasts.
Whats the best way for a script for a user to decide how much
time delay they need before Recording Starts?
Ideally it would look like this:
There is a separate window that allows the user to set the
Self-Timer which will give them time to get ready for their live
    broadcasts.
User sets length of Time Delay: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2
minutes, or even up to 5 minutes.
User presses Start Broadcast or Record Button to start
    streaming Live Video.
Then.. the Countdown Timer starts... and it displays in Big
Digits... the countdown on their screen... "3...2...1...
    Broadcasting Live Now!"
    How would I do this?
    Hope someone can help

Open the widget library panel and follow the link to Adobe Muse Exchange.
There you find a fine little widget collection, named Andrews Prototypes.
Load it, double-click the file, and in your library you will find a countdown widget.

How do you set the timer on the  Power Shot  SX230 HS

    Batman2350,
The DOWN button below the FUNC/SET button is also the SELF-TIMER button.  If you press the DOWN button, the self-timer menu will pop up so you can enable the self-timer.
If this is a time sensitive-matter, additional support options are available at Contact Us.

  • Photoshop CS4 won't open RAW files

Photoshop CS4 will not open RAW (.CR2) files. I have tried what is listed on Adobe's website (checking versions, uninstalling, reinstalling). Nothing has worked. It still gives me the error message: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file."
I am using CS4 on a 10.6.6 Mac OS with a Canon Rebel XS. I currently have Camera Raw 5.7 installed.
Does anyone have any answers ?

The CAT.CR2 file that was posted is from a 1000D that does not have sRAW capabilities.  Comparing the ExifTool data and the camera specifications, there should have been a small-sized preview JPG image and a large-sized RAW image in the file, but the file was truncated after the top-left quadrant of RAW data was written:

  • Z3 Compact scenes not working in manual camera mode

Hi. That's my problem: when I use manual camera, the scn button is grey and not working, so the HDR. They worked when I bought the phone, at Christmas... No mod root etc. Please help me!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz3compact/userguide/Using-still-camera-settings/
It has to be set on Manual mode at 8mp
    HDR
Use the HDR (High Dynamic Range) setting to take a photo against strong back light or in conditions where the contrast is sharp. HDR compensates for the loss of detail and produces a picture that is representative of both dark and bright areas.
This setting is only available in Manual capturing mode.
    ISO
You can reduce image blurring caused by dark conditions or moving subjects by increasing the ISO sensitivity.
    Auto
    Sets the ISO sensitivity automatically.
    50
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 50.
    100
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 100.
    200
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 200.
    400
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 400.
    800
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 800.
    1600
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 1600.
    3200
Sets the ISO sensitivity to 3200.
This setting is only available in Manual capturing mode.
    Metering
This function automatically determines a well-balanced exposure by measuring the amount of light striking the image you want to capture.
    Centre
Measures the centre of the image, and determines the exposure based on the brightness of the subject there.
    Spot
Adjusts the exposure in a very small part of the image that you want to capture.
    Face
Measures the amount of light on the face, and adjusts the exposure so that the face is neither too dark or too bright.
    Multi
Divides the image into multiple regions, and measures each region to determine a well-balanced exposure.
This setting is only available in Manual capturing mode.
    Image stabiliser

    Flash
Use the flash to take photos when lighting conditions are poor or when there is a backlight. The following options are available when you tap the flash icon in the camera screen:
    Auto
The camera automatically determines if the lighting conditions require the use of a flash.
    Fill flash
Use this setting when the background is brighter than the subject. This removes unwanted dark shadows.
    Red-eye reduction
Reduces the red colour of eyes when taking a photo.
    Off
The flash is turned off. Sometimes photo quality can be better without the flash, even if lighting conditions are poor. Taking a good photo without using the flash requires a steady hand. Use the self-timer to avoid blurred photos.
    Torch
A torch or camera light is turned on when you take photos.

    Beach
Use for taking photos of seaside or lakeside scenes.
    Snow
Use in bright environments to avoid overexposed photos.
    Party
Use for indoor photos in poorly lit environments. This scene picks up indoor background lighting or candlelight. Due to long exposure time, the camera must be held still or placed on a stable surface.
    Sports
Use for photos of fast-moving objects. Short exposure time minimises motion blurring.
    Document
Use for photos of text or drawings. Gives the photo increased, sharper contrast.

  • Lumia 920 India .. missing features and some sugge...

Alrito ppl..i have migrated from nokia 701 (Symbian) to Nokia lumia 920 (Windows 8)
    Country : India
    FW : 1232.5951.1249.1001
    OS Version : 8.0.10211.204
No sim inserted as yet and right now using it in wifi mode only
Since i was a symbian user..some features are very very essential in my daily phone usage (though some are rare)
    So the required features/suggested
    Camera/Photos :
    1.Red eye reduction
    2.Self-Timer
3.Details of photos like size, location, resolution, etc etc
4.Number of photos like how many photos are there in an album or phone..
5.wat is the use of having albums tab when u cant create one??!!
    Media:
1.Heard that Stereo FM is gonna come soon with the next update of accessing fm radio and can also radio transmittor ?
    Hope its coming soon...
2.Cant the equaliser me edited? and also be accessed from the music player ??
3.MKV Format files doesnt play !! (Yes, i have tried it)
    Others :
1.Internet explorer has a problem.. i use my ie whn wifi is on and later after swtiching off wifi
if i wanna close down ie..i cant because it jst keeps going back to the previous webpage which cannot load due to no access to net !!! plspls fix this .!!
2.Nokia MAPS as compared to my symbian nokia 701 ... the gps access is really really bad.. i had to use my old mobile for using the nokia drive option..
3.I know windows 8 doesnt have ny "file system" but i do hope they bring something like file manager for better access to many other things...
4.many other extentions like .zip, .rar dont work because of lack of apps and no basic functionality to access them..pretty bad for a person using the phone for office purpose..
5.Profiles should be evidently visible and i should be able to create seperate profile because just ring+viobrate, vibrate and flight mode is not enough..
6.In the groups under contacts...i really want to add people by selecting them and not individually...i know a very small request but it really helps...
7.In the groups under contacts...i want to see the number of people in the group..i dont want to count them manually.. a small feature again but i request u to add it too..helps a lot..
8.The counter for message, calls, etc and call logs for more than 30 days will be appreciated if it comes with the update because thn installing app for it is something i wudnt like..but this is a suggestions which i hope is implemented for better user experience...
will add some other requirements and suggestions as soon as i get better experience of my new phone

    Camera/Photos:
    1. You can use Nokia Creative Studio on the phone to fix red eye.
    3. Install "Picture Info" from the store, it's free.
    5. You need to ask Microsoft that question but it does show albums you've created in skydrive or facebook
    Media:
    1. Only a rumour, Microsoft at this moment does not support FM and the next update does not enable it. Even if the L920 did have the required hardware it would only work as a receiver, not a transmitter.
    3. I don't believe Microsoft has added support for that.
    Others:
    1. Microsoft control IE featurs, if you press the menu dots then close all tabs you can easily exit.
    2. Weird, GPS works well where I am, make sure you use it with a data connection.
3,4,5,6,7 & 8. You need to suggest that to Microsoft as it is their operating system, not Nokia's.
You can submit suggestions to Microsoft on the link below:

You can discuss things about the OS on Microsoft's forum:

  • Why Lumia710 is "update not available" for "Taiwan...

I bought Lumia710 in Taiwan, I think Nokia also sold many 710 for Taiwan people.
But why Lumia710 is update not available for Taiwan users ?
We also need new features and further enhancements to the Nokia Lumia710 in Taiwan.
    We waiting for
Latest Windows Phone operating system (Note. This is not WP 7.8 yet.)
Internet sharing (Wi-Fi Hotspot) — Share your phone's internet connection over Wi-Fi with up to five other devices or computers.
Flip to silence — Silence incoming calls by turning your phone face down.
Fix to prevent the volume of the ringtone temporarily increasing (Lumia 800 specific)
Download new apps from Marketplace, such as camera extras, including smart group shot and self-timer, Contacts share, and Play To, a DLNA app for showing your content wirelessly.
    Usability and performance improvements.
Additionally Camera Extras (incl. smart group shots, panorama, action shots, etc.) will be available from the Marketplace plus other new imaging apps (like Citylens).
But just only Taiwan's Lumia710 users got update not available in Asia pacific.
It is mean : Latest version of software update will not be launched for this product code and/or country.
So anybody can answer me ? Tell me why ? Why without Taiwan users ?
    Best Regards,
    Kevin

Dear Kevinluh, Welcome to the Nokia Forums!
I understand your frustration, however update availability can vary depending on Region and carrier, this is because some regions and carriers may not have signed off the update or have policies preventing the update occuring.
We hope you understand, please get in touch with your local Nokia Care line for more information regarding the update.
    Regards
    Sheldrick

  • Flash work slow when the page is in background of browser

I'm developing a game during which a clock which states that every three seconds a soldier will be added to the screen , and another clock that moves the soldier from the left to the right side of screen every 20 milliseconds .
Everything works correctly, until the game rises locate the air. If the user chooses to leave the game for a few minutes and messing with another page in browser , the watches of the Flash game starts to work very slow , which is why the soldiers are moving at low speed and thus accumulate masses of soldiers on screen, while they were supposed to be gone long .
I'm trying to create a " self timer " , instead of dealing with flash clock ( Timer ) , but I got involved with recursion fills the cartridge and creates StackOverFlow error.
I can not use the event Event.ENTER_FRAME etc. , because also this event work slow when the game is in the background
What to do ? Who can help me?

    Thank you!
I solved it, similar to what you suggested, through the ACTIVATE event is linked to the stage.  That:
                        private function stageDeactivate(e:Event)
                                  if (stage != null)
                                            stage.removeEventListener(Event.DEACTIVATE, stageDeactivate);
                                            stage.addEventListener(Event.ACTIVATE, stageActivate);
                                            stopSoldiers();
                        private function stageActivate(e:Event)
                                  if (stage != null)
                                            stage.removeEventListener(Event.ACTIVATE, stageActivate);
                                            stage.addEventListener(Event.DEACTIVATE, stageDeactivate);
                                            playSoldiers();
