Selling a book from iPhoto?

Hi gang,
I have a question that I couldn't find specifically addressed here, so I thought I'd throw it out to all of you.
I gave my family members copies of a book of nature and architectural photography that I have taken in the last year. My aunt is convinced that if I were to place copies of this book for sale in a tourist shop near her home, they would sell to many people. My question is this: Does Apple care if I do this? It has the little "Made on a Mac" writing on the back page, with the Apple logo, and even though I'd love to advertise for the fairer platform, I don't want to rock anybody's boat, either.
I've done a bit of online research elsewhere and determined that my work is automatically considered "copyrighted" when published (although the Library of Congress wants 2 copies of it!), so I am not overly concerned about my rights, but I don't want Apple (or its minions) to come back to me saying it's not OK to sell a book printed with their services.
Does anybody have any ideas about this?

to inquire about using Apple's books for resale. Not sure what you'd do about quality control on multiple book orders as I'm sure Apple is not setup for high production runs of the same book for resale.
There is a site, ASUKABOOK, which is geared to the professional (if you're going to do resale then I'm sure you could quality, photographers who want to create coffee table photo books. You create the pages with Photoshop with templates that they provide. They won't be cheap but you can check out their pricing for quantity.
If Apple OKs the use of the book and/or themes you could do a Print to PDF of the book and then use someone like SharedInk.com to produce multiple copies. Good luck.

if i clear the book so that it is all blanks and then try to load in the pictures i have it loses the chronology of the pictures that i had established in the album.
is there a way to import photos into an ibook template and keep the original order of the photos without having to do them one at a time?
also, is there a way to insert a photo rather than just dragging it? i have tried the cut and paste funciton but it doesn't seem to work, the target site doesn't seem to register with iphoto.

Photos are added to book in chronological order. So if you want to add them to a book in the order you have placed them manually in an album do the following:
1 - select all the photos in the album.
2 - use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option as shown here. Select any date and add 1 minute between photos.
3 - select just one photo from the album and create a book from it.
4 - in the book click on the Options button ➙ Book Settings button and make sure the checkbox for Auto-layout pages is unchecked.
5 - drag the album with your book photos onto the book icon and they will be imported into the Photos tray of the book in your pre-determined order but not into the pages themselves.

Can't Print Book from iPhoto or Preview, but Can Print from Adobe Accrobat

I have spent 2.5 hours on the phone with HP, an am now unsure if the problem is with HP or Apple.
When I try to print a single page from an iPhoto Book (or a group of pages), I receive an error message on the HP 4650 printer (49.4C02). I saved the book as a PDF and tried to print from Preview with the same results. I then opened the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat and WAS able to print. I am able to print individual photos from iPhoto.
I searched this discussion board for problems printing to the HP 4650. One suggestion was to use the driver for the HP 4600. I tired that and it produced the same error on the printer.
Using Adobe Acrobat is a viable work-a-round, but I am curious why I cannot print a book from iPhoto. Any thoughts as to why Adobe Acrobat works and iPhoto and Preview do not?

Some additional efforts you can try:
Go to the System/Sharing preference pane and make sure Remote Apple Events is checked.
If it is, uncheck it and then recheck and try ordering again.

I just tried to move my old iPhoto Library from the G4 to a new Macbook. The G4 and files were very old, from 2001.
When I opened Iphoto for the first time, it said it needed to "upgrade" the library", so I selected OK. It gave a message that this could take an hour or longer with a lot of photos -- I have around 9,000 stored so I figured it would take awhile.
It finished in about 3 minutes, but there were no photos or albums to be found.
I checked on the drive and iPhoto has converted the old library files and photo files to a "package" called "iphoto library" that has no file extension.
If I show package contents, I can see a whole raft of new files, folders etc. I can see a file in there called "library6.iphoto" Some folders appear to be organized by years, if I dig down in the folders, all the photos appear to still be present. The general size of the "package" file is almost identical to the old folder, around 25.3 megabytes, so it seems all the photos and information is there, but its just not reading it.
Now IPhoto still says " to begin, connect a camera, drag photos to iPhoto, or import a file.....
I downloaded the "library manager" file and pointed it at the "iphoto library" file but it does not even see it.
Grrr... what can I do to recover this.

I solved the problem. Had nothing to do with Mac or iphoto. Problem must be my the internet connection to my provider.
Upload at my office worked without any problem. One problem solved, now i am aware with a lot of discussions with my providers helpdesk ;-)

Problems with ordering Books from iPhoto '09

I tried ordering 2 books from iPhoto ’09 (version 8.1.2 (424) - this is the iPhoto that I have) yesterday, and I got this message: "Please check your network connection and try again"... so I checked my network connection and it was fine. I tried again summiting the order and the same message appeared again
I checked all the photos and everything look fine. So, I tried to summit the order again. The same message appeared. I stopped trying sending it again.
After, I checked my emails and saw that I got charged 3 times for the books! I never got an email from apple with a confirmation number for the order(s) nor nothing! I tried looking for a number or email that I can send them about my problem but I can’t anything.
Please Help! I have a deadline to meet.
How can I know if at least one order went through and how can I stop two of the charges?

You can not modify the templates - you have to fine one that works for you - samples of iPHoto '09 templets are here - they pretty much exist in '11 plus there are more options - what version of iPhoto do you have?

My Publisher. com. A great site and they also have a mac plugin to work right from within I-Photo. Or their new software is for mac now as well. Tons of designs including leather bound. And they always send coupons for 40-50 % off. Great quality. I have also finished An Asuka book, but that is for professional Photographers only.

Boot into Safe Mode and try again.
If that doesn't work:
Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.

I'm on a 13" white MacBook with 8GB RAM installed.
I recently had a 1 TB hard disc installed at the Apple store.

If that works fine and you still have problems boot into safe mode and try again
