I like to sell my audio book product via In-App purchase . But they have only fixed prices from different tier .
I like to set my own price to each product and also i like to give some discount on some product based on promotional codes.
Can you please tell me how it can be done ?

Unless the machine came with ML you should not sell it with ML. Reinstall the original operating system (the one that the Mac had when new).

Audio book cd's burn with text

Even with the "include cd text" box unchecked my audio book cd's burn with text and when I try to put them on my laptop to listen to them I can't import them into media player because the text is on the first cd.
How can I get it to stop putting the text on the audio books when I burn them?

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this just using iTunes. However, I'm aware of 2 approaches to overcome this limitation either by using a 3rd party app on the Mac or the iPod:
a)Use a utility program on your Mac to join all the track files into a single file and transfer the generated merged file to your iPod. One such utility is called AudioBookBuilder and it's available in the Mac App Store.
b)If by iPod you actually mean an iPod touch, you can transfer all the individual tracks to your iPod and then use a player app to listen to the audio book, ideally an app that is capable of keeping track of where you stopped listening so that you can resume listening later. One such app is called AudioBookCD and it's available in the iPhone App Store. Disclaimer: I developed the AudioBookCD app to address this need.

"Other" includes data such as contact information and photos assigned to contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cookies/history, notes created with the Notes application, SMS messages, email stored locally or cached, and 3rd party application data created and stored by the application.
If "other" is more than say .75GB at the most, you had a corrupt sync. Try syncing again and if the problem persists, the recognized fix for this is to restore your iPad.

Is any one having trouble with audio books in WMA formatting converting with the new ios v5

Since updating to OS5 in my itouch I have lost all my library audio books. I have downloaded a couple of new library audio books. The books look like they are being loaded into my itouch but are not there. The only way I can access them is to make a playlist for each book and drag the numbered files into the playlist folder. There are a lot of problems with this method - book chapters are not in order (I have to tried to reorder them without success) and if I stop listening to a book, when it starts again it starts at the beginning of the chapter. Before OS5 I had no trouble with WMA files or anything for that matter. I hope there is a solution soon.

A 'cleaner' app with SECURE delete option?

Hi all,
basically, I work for the entertainment industry and my systems are sometime loaded with very 'for your eyes only' materials, such as scripts and videos for movies still on working, etc.
As the leaking of those material may cause me serious trouble, I'm especially concerned with the 'secure deleting' of sensible files, particularly to avoid any risk in case of any of my computer being stole.
So as for cleaning/mantainance I normally use our beloved OnyX, or CacheOutX (for simple tasks) yet both lack the option of 'secure deleting' (shredding, overwriting, call it as you like) what they clean.
I went and searched for any app capable of performing such a 'secure clean' of OSX, but failed.
This is too be for me, especially for OSX itself allow to use secure VM and has Secure Trash ans Disc Free Space ereasing built right in! So basically what I'm forced to do is 'Erease Free Space' out of my HDs EACH TIME I perform a system cleaning. This is, in a word, boring. Or seriously annoying if you like.
So, any clue to help me out?

SInce there are thousands of system files scattered all over the place, and various utilities may not keep track (unless you can extract them from a log file somewhere), securely erasing the free space after using something like Onyx seems like the thing to do. There may be existing maintenance scripts out there - perhaps a script run from one of the periodic utilities that uses diskutil.

Help needed with audio books

Could someone please tell me how i get an audio book to appear under the category "Audio books". Everytime i import an audio book into itunes it shows up as a song file and ends up in the middle of all my songs instead of its own category? ? ?

Need help with audio books

i have a few audio books on cd, when i rip them to itunes i am unable to catagorize them as an audio book. thus they show up under music in my ipod and the audio book folder remains empty. i tried creating a genre for audio books but that still leaves them listed under music. any one know how to fix that?

Audio book chapters mixed up

On my iTouch my current audio book shows 9 chapters with really odd track times like 23 min 17 min etc The book is many hours long.
On iTunes it says 5 chapters
To top that the book has many chapters as I'm on 51 now.
nothing matches at all. If I forget my spot when I go back the numbers on the iTouch it makes no sense. It will be chapter 35 the iTouch will say it is the second of five, but it shows 9 tracks and the first two only add up to 30 minutes
There is no way to tell where you are, if you change apps.

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't seem to help, but then I noticed something that I hadn't noticed before. Half of the discs were titled "Disc XXX" and the other half were titled "Disk XXX". (Notice the spelling of "Disc" vs. "Disk".) Once I made the spelling uniform, everything was fine.

Use of Audio Book category?

I thought audio book was a high level category to distinquish music from audio books.
However, if I change the option of mp3-files to audio book. They are listed in the new folder, but I no longer can play them on the IPOD. I don't see the album or book anymore, rather I see trillions of files that all start with the titel of the book and I have no means to play the files one after the other how one would expect.
What good is the category or how was it intended to be used? Why is the category different from the music category?

The Audiobooks feature was originally designed for books that have been stitched up into a single file and hasn't, as yet, been updated to reflect the changes that make multi-track audiobooks easy to work with in iTunes. There are tools for creating iPod-friendly audiobooks for which Aldo on Audiobooks is probably the best reference. Personally I don't bother with the extra effort and just have an "Audiobooks" playlist folder containing sub-folders for each author and within these playlists for each audiobook.

Audio Books Import into ITUNES

I received an audio book (9cds) and wanted to import into ITUNES. The cd's did transfer to ITUNES but came over as if it were a music file and didn't go to the audiobooks portion of the ipod.
Don't tell me the only way to get an audiobook on your IPOD is to buy it from ITUNES??

My Audio Books wont play

I purchased an audio book from Itunes. I manually dragged the newly downloaded file to my Ipod nano. The ipod updates. While the nano is connected, I can see the new audio book under the audio book play list in the nano, but when I discionnect the nano, the audio book does not appear for me to play. My other audio books appear and play with no problem

Are you disconnecting the iPod without ejecting it?

Also, new conetnet is sometimes not synced to an iPod if it is being confused with other network devices. You might want to see this:

Audio books under "songs"

I downloaded songs and audio books , so when I go to songs it had my audio books when playing the songs it also goes and plays the audio books in the loop too...anyone know why? or how to stop it??

Audio book downloading problem

When I attempt to download an audio book, itunes downloads forever with no progress. It works fine with music, just the books. I can't seem to figure out why. It was fine, I have downloaded several audio books previously, and music since, but now have two books waiting that will not download. Any suggestions?

I accidently deleted an audio book and I can't see an option on iCloud to re download audiobooks, only music , film, tv shows. Do you know if it is possible or do I need to re purchase ? Thankyou

Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download, if you don't have a copy of it anywhere then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Downloading Audio Book Purchase Through iCloud

I do not see any instructions for downloading audio book purchases to my iPad or iPhone via iCloud. Audio Book downloads through iBooks is not an option. I would appreciates some instructions as I switched exclusively to iCloud.

Correct. That is because audiobooks are not in icloud at all. The audiobook industry does not allow this.
Audiobooks cannot be redownloaded.
You must sync them.
