Selling Macbook: Should I create acct after formatting?

I'm getting ready to sell my Macbook. I just formatted and installed Mac OS X 10.5 on my Macbook. This is from the install DVD that came with it. I'm at the point now that it is asking for an Apple ID. Should I just shut down and let the new buyer take care of it?
I still haven't installed the apps from the app DVD. I also have the Snow Leopard DVD to install. Any suggestions on the best route for this scenario?

My Macbook Pro running slow even after format

Hello guys, I've had this problem with my 2009 unibody 13" Macbook Pro for at least a month. Last month I tried to reinstall OSX Lion which i previously had, but the install failed for saveral attemps (probably for my slow internet). I finally managed to get OSX Lion on and it was increadibly slow even no programs are installed so I reinstalled it again and again but the same problem still comes up. So i went to an Apple Store (Thailand) and the apple guy assisted me by trying harddisk permission repair, reinstalling the os again, none worked, i still get a super slow computer. So I went home and downgraded the os to snow leopard, it seemed to work just fine at first but after i install several (4-5) basic applications, it started to get slow again (still faster than when it was lion). Whenever i open two or three applications at once or even browsing a webpage alone i get the spinning rainbow cursor. Somebody told me its probably the harddrive, who do u think? please help - thanks.

Yes it is your hard drive.
Backup your files off the machine and before you reinstall OS X again, this time use the 10.6 disk > Disk Utility > Erase with Security Option > Zero All Data, make sure your ENTIRE hard drive is slected on the left.
Let that complete and install 10.6, then update to 10.6.8, that should be the fastest OS X version for that machine.
If you go to 10.7, it's going to slow down a little bit again.
If you can't complete the Zero erase (it takes some time to finish) after trying 2x and or still having problems after that, then the drive is causing the defective sectors and needs to be replaced.
Keep your boot drive below 50% filled for maximum performance, but never more than 80% filled.

Why did my Macbook Pro got so slow after formatting and reinstalling Mavericks?

I had Mavericks a month ago, then i upgraded to Yosemite, and my computer got extremely slow, so i formatted it and reinstalled Mavericks again, i feel it's slower than the last time i used it with Mavericks, i have no idea why. i erased my hard drive and reinstalled from an external drive. Seriously i thought it was going to be faster than how i had it before since it's going to be more fresh without so many apps that i don't use often...
Is there anything that i could do?

Selling MacBook - should I do an Erase and Install?

Hi,
I'm selling my MacBook and I'm wondering if the only option is to do an erase and install. Other options are welcome.
If the erase and install is my only option how long does it take?

Hi,
If you want to completely erase all data on the drive, then an Erase and Install is the way to go as Barry suggests. How long it takes depends on the size of the hard disk. Roughly speaking, about 45 mins to an hour.
Also, if you used an iTunes account on this MacBook, before you do an Erase and Install, launch iTunes, click the iTunes store on the left, then from the Menu Bar, click Store/Deauthorize computer.

It's not that you can't format it because you have no backup, it's because you'll lose everything when you do. Lesson learned. Always have a backup.

Hi,
In SAP, when the sub-sequent document is existing , we can not cancel the preceeding document. Therefore if you want to cancel the billing document you need to calcel the documents which are created with reference to that.

That is not the issue.
Pages/OSX does not save files with crop marks and bleeds.
It also by default saves transparency, which is involved in a lot of Pages' better features, at a rubbishy 72 dpi resolution.
It also makes it extremely difficult to maintain mono-color like black only text, has no spot color and makes color management opaque.
It really is only meant for amateur publishing and printing to your desktop printer.
A commercial printer who is willing to use and print from Pages may have better results but at the cost of considerable micro-management which defeats the point of this "cheap" solution.

MIGO should not create after PO Delivery Date

We have a PO with multiple line items and diff. Delivery Dates...
We want that during MIGO Process, Posting Date should not exceed to PO Delivery Date.
Means, if PO Delivery Date is 05.07.2014, then MIGO should not created after this date...
Please suggest.

If you want to achieve the scenario with standard settings, then you can use the field "Latest GR date".
Just put the same date as delivery date in this field. Then system will not allow to do GR if the Posting date is exceed with compare this date in MIGO.
You can find the latest GR date in Delivery tab in PO. Also you can maintain the field as mandatory in PO to avoid the field value blank as per your requirement.
Also if you want to change Latest GR date along with delivery date, just take the steps which is explained in this document Mass changes from one field to another field.

while we can also create index on the table before insertion of the data.

The choice depends on a number of factors, the main being how many rows are going to be inserted in the table as a percentage of the existing rows, or the percentage growth.
Creating index after a table has been populated works better when the tables are large or the inserts are large for the following reasons
1. The sort and creation of index is more efficient when done in batch and written in bulk. So works faster.
2. When the index is being written blocks get acquired as more data gets written. So, when a large number of rows get inserted in a table that already has an index , the index data blocks start splitting / chaining. This increases the "depth" of the inverted b-tree makes and that makes the index less efficient on I/O. Creating index after data has been inserted allows Orale to create optical block distribution/ reduce splitting / chaining
3. If an index exists then it too is routed through the undo / redo processes. Thats an overhead which is avoided when you create index after populating the table.

Error screen after formatting my macbook

I formatted my MacBook Air a few days ago in order to decongest it because it showed I had barely any disk space left despite me removing almost everything from the computer. Before formatting it, I backed the hard drive up to an external drive in Mac OS Extended (as recommended on a post). After formatting the laptop, I was taken to a menu which had options such as Restore from time machine backup or reinstall the OS etc. I chose to reinstall the OS since the reason I formatted the paptop was because of the issue with disk space, and restoring from the backup will essentially just take up all the space again. After about 4 hours of the reinstallation process, the installation stopped and the computer froze. I decided to restart the computer. The computer did not automatically go back to that menu, so I pressed Cmd + R as recommended online. This took me back to the menu and at this point I needed my computer to work so I may do assignments. I chose to restore the backup instead. After an almost complete restoration, I got an error message stating that the restore cannot be completed. Baffled, I restarted the computer. When I restarted it, it said "the computer was restarted due to a problem" or something along those lines. Since then, right after displaying that message it will give me an error message which I have attached though a picture. Immediately after showing that code, the computer restarts and does the same. Over and over again. I am a student and do not have access to funds or an apple store, which is why I decided to format it myself instead of seeking professional help. Please help me understand what is going on and how I may fix it. Thank you.

Do a backup. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.

Unable to re-download mountain lion after formatting my macbook

After formatting my computer, I went to the App Store to download for the second time OS X Mountain Lion, however it doesn't appear in my purchased apps. As anyone ever had this problem? Can we only download it once? And would anyone know a solution?

Just found the solution, the app was actualy marked as "hidden" in my store profil and to click on it so that it would appear in my bought apps.

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID
