I have a computer tech business where i provide services to fix and setup machines. Lately, i have started purchasing used machines and refurbishing them with the hope to sell them, and i would like to use my site to do it, rather than go through a place like ebay, though i might post something on craigslist. What are my options with iWeb that i can do this? Someone told me to use google checkout or even paypal. Does anyone have any recommendations or ways i should set it up on my site? iPad requires Wifi (or 3G /LTE) to connect to the Internet. You cannot connect a USB modem to the iPad.
You can create your own WiFi hotspot through your computer for your iPad to connect to, if your computer supports this functionality. All Wifi Macs and many Wifi PCs do. Check your computer manual for how to do it.

Pre-ordering through apple site or vzw

I have been seeing a lot of people say that they will be pre-ordering through apples site..however, I thought the pre-orders were only through vzw. Does anyone know for sure...Its about the only thing I am not sure of, that matters to me. If you can do it on apples site what time will they start..I would assume 3am eastern but, I hate to assume anything when it comes to vzw

I chatted with an Apple CSR on Saturday. I asked him if the online apple store would be offering the verizon iphone preorder and he said yes. I asked him if they would be starting at 3am ET as well, and he said they had not been given that information at that time.
We still can't be 100% sure, but I feel more inclined to believe them over the Verizon CSRs at this point, lol.

Selling on iweb site

I'm in the process of building the site and can't find any information on how to sell through the site online, using paypal or even just credit card. Is this possible/legal on an iweb site? Thanks for your time (assuming anyone out there's reading this!).

Dreamweaver-upload an image's file name to DB, so it can be retrieved through a site folder

I see a lot of help on how to save a file as a blog in an SQL database. I would prefer to do it the recommended way, through a site folder. I have a bunch of pictures that I want to match with various people (for a soccer team), and display those on a detail page. I have the Dreamweaver Missing Manual, which gives tips on how to create a URL to retrieve the data.
So I have a field in the SQL database for the image, but my question is, when I create a file field on the form, select the image in my folder and click to select it, and submit the form, the file name (or path) doesn't show up in the SQL database or on the Detail page. I feel like I'm missing one small element, and I hope that's the case.

No. That's not enough. Two things need to happen:
The image has to be uploaded to a specified location on the server (this is actually a multi-step process)
The name of the image has to be saved in the database
Then your code retrieves the name of the image and uses that name in a link, e.g.,
<img src="path_to_the_image/<?php echo $rs_whatever['image_name']; ?>" />

Taking CC Payments through iWeb site

I have made a few iweb pages in the past for personal use, but now I would like to setup a small business.
Is it fairly easy to setup some sort of payment method. I tried searching and couldn't find much info. Is the easiest way paypal? Is it hard to setup some kind of merchant account that just takes cc payments through my site?

I have been really messed up and defrauded by your employee. I have the email proof through this site, besides witness's.

I have a record of my email and post regarding my problems with Internet Explorer 11, with my Windows 7, not working and connecting to other sites not nearly working as well as Int. Explorer 10. I was just told by support since I didn't have a case number,
I had no proof. My email account in Microsoft is the same as with Verizon. So, I have proof on this site. Now, after I posted my complaint reg. Int. 11 not working nearly as well with my Windows 7. An employee from Microsoft took control of my computer for
the 2nd time without notice. I was SO VERY clear about wanting to go back from Int.Ex. 11 to Int.Ex.10. An employee actually restored by computer without me asking from 10 back to 11, after I had some issues with hackers. As stated in my emails to you, Int.
Exp. 11 never seemed to be very compatible in working with the add-ons and communicating to other sites. The guy who took over my laptop without permission, I thought was helping, ignored everything I asked for. I worked through the night and for about 10
hours with him. I had to make 16 backup/restore disks, per him doing all the actions through Homegroup. I didn't even know u could take over my computer controls without permission. He made changes after changes, while I mostly kept my hands off the keys throughout
the night and the day yest. I was just putting in disk after disk when it would pop out and he had the notice keep popping up, when he wanted me to change disks. I have not slept or ate for two days, cuz I kept working through hardcore stress. I didn't even
follow what changes he was making cuz it was going to fast with things popping up everywhere. I would just have to ender Adminstrator ID and enter a few items. I did not make an alteration, cuz I did not want to mess it up. He completely ignored my email/post
about consistently wanting to go from Int. Exp. 11 back to 10. I was so ill and tired, that I could barely keep up. After working with him, by just inserting disks mostly, I sent an email at the end to Microsoft saying that I don't think his repairs would
work. This due to many issues, but mainly still not getting the add-ons for my different drivers. I had Google Chrome, Bing and the Int. Exp. 11 I wanted reversed, cuz he still could not get all the add-ons to work, with red checks over them and saying disabled,

What I wound up doing was installing the newest of the newest versions of firefox (it's at 5.0 or something now, I think). That just made all the plugins, add-ons, and extensions I wanted to get rid of obsolete and it auto-removed them on its own.

Consistent swf display through entire site?

This is probably a topic that has been covered already,
probably too many times, but I've been searching for a post on this
and have had no luck. Anyway, here is my question.
I am trying to develop a banner for an event planner, she
wants me to take the pictures she gave me to put into a Flash
gallery (autoplay) but as a banner.
How do I make it so that the transition between my html pages
does not reload the swf on every page. I need to keep it html or I
would do a complete flash site.
Maybe there is a way to load html into a flash page (publish
flash and load html into the published flash html)?

Ok, so I guess I have one more question.
After looking through some of Adobe's tech notes, I realize
that with sharedobject almost every note explains how to pass data
or text between site pages. So my question is this:
How would I be able to get the swf to set a variable for the
current frame the movie is on, and then load that same variable in
the newly loaded page?
So, how would I attach a current frame variable to something
like this :

Targeted HTTP Requests through SonicWALL Site-to-Site VPN

I have a B2B tunnel to one of our customers. All HTTP/HTTPS traffic from our main office for those addresses goes across the B2B.Now, I have a remote office connected to the main office via site-to-site VPN. How can I target HTTP/HTTPS requests for only the customer websites to use the site-to-site VPN to our office, then the B2B, while allowing other Web traffic to go straight out through the remote office? I have already added the subnets used by the B2B to the access lists at both ends of the site-to-site, but computers at the remote office cannot load Web pages, because the requests are not coming from our B2B IP address. nslookup and ping work from the remote office; DNS is resolving the name to the correct IP address. However, the HTTP/HTTPS requests are going straight out through the remote office firewall without hitting the...

I looked through the similar questions and I cannot find the answer. My VPN is working correctly and I can ping every LAN interface address objects specified in my routes but I'm unable to ping or access end devices beyond that. IPS and the GAV is not enable since I don't have the licenses, so theirs no concern there. Something is telling me that it could be a basic route needs to be in place on VPN > LAN but that was created in the initial VPN configuration.
For example I can ping Remote LAN interfaces 172.16.0.254, 172.18.0.254 but I cant ping the devices in those subnets.

Unable to update the VAT_CODE column through supplier sites API

Hi,
I'm unable to update the vat code column of the ap_supplier_sites_all table using the ap_vendor_pub_pkg.update_vendor_site API.Oracle application instance 12.1.3 and OS linux.Please find the code below.I'm able to update other feilds,but not the vat_code.Please help on this.

Trace through entire site

I have taken over as webmaster of a site that has outgrown it's roots. It is a static site that I am upgrading to PHP/MySQL. Because space on the server is an issue, I'd like to get rid of files that aren't needed and accessed any longer. I was going to write a java program that parsed the files, starting at index.htm and opening each link it finds and parsing that file and so on and so forth. A list will be generated of every page ( and image ) that is "on" the site. I would imagine that this is a common issue and that someone has already written a program like this. I searched the internet for a while, but didn't really know how to search for such a thing and didn't find much. Does anyone know of such a thing or have a better solution? It doesn't matter what language.

Workflow to work through 2 sites

Hi,
i need to set up a workflow that runs over 2 sites.
We have departments set up as sites on our system and i need a list in one of the sites to create an item in a list in another site when an item is added to the first.
Is there a way we can do this easily?
id like to avoid moving the lists if possible.

It won't be doable with either OOB or SPD Workflows, which are natively limited to a site level. One thing that may help (and is free) is the addition of some extra workflow steps from CodePlex, especially one known as "Copy List Item Extended Activity.

SO, you can create a workflow that triggers on item creation (or whatever trigger is needed) and use this enhanced step to copy an item to any site in your farm.
