Selphy 910 thick white line, part of photo not printing

Hi,
I have a Canon Selphy 910 and any photo i try to print with it comes out with a 1 inch thick white line down the length of the page where nothing has printed. The rest of the photo has printed but not this long black line along the photo,
It looks like there is something stopping the ink from geting to the page.
This happens if i print from a windows laptop r straight from an SD card
I have taken out the paper and the ink cartridge to make sure there is no tape, but all looks fine
This is a brand new printer staight of the the box
Any ideas ?

  • White lines above my Photos ?

    Hi there.
I have been working on my photography web site, and I've run into a problem. I have noticed that on certain photographs, only when viewed on my published web site (not "seen" in iweb) there appears a thin white line on the top of the image, oalong the top border of the image. There seems to be no consistancy as to the type of images, and all the photos are placed in the same x and y axis in the page. Some have the white line and some don't. This is very frustrating, as I can't seem to work out what might be wrong. Any ideas???
    Thanks,
    Jason Gold

  • Horizontal lines appear in photos when printed

I am having a problem with printing photos in an indesign document.  When the photos, jpeg files, are placed in the document and printed, there are faint black lines running horizontally across the photos at one-half inch increments.  These lines only run across the photos, not the rest of the document, and they do not appear when the photos are printed separate, i.e. not in an indesign document.  What can be causing this?  Is there some guide that I have accidentally turned on that could be causing this?
Thanks for any help on this matter.

The operating system is OS X.  The InDesign version is CS1 (educational version).  I don't know what it means for InDesign to be fully patched.  The printer is very basic, 2010 HP Photosmart Plus.  I do not believe it has a dragt mode (though I'm not quite sure what this is).
By fully patched I mean have you dowwloaded and installed the 3.0.1 update. Many, if not most, injet printers have a "draft" or "ink saver" setting in the print driver that uses less ink to save you money, and that can cause lines.

  • Photos not printing

I have a HP Deskjet 3000 wireless printer,  it will not print photos from my pc but  it will print word documents ok, I have other computers on my network and I can print a photo from another computer on the network. The Scan and Print Doctor cannot find the problem, I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times from the original cd and using the latest drivers from HP website but the problem with printing just photos is still present

Hi Dave, thank you for your response to my problem
When I hit the print button I get the usual preview pane where I can select paper type and size etc when I hit the print button again it sends to the printer, the printer icon appears for a few moments, when I place my curser over it, it says 1 job in queue then it goes to 0 jobs in queue and the icon disappears but nothing prints.
I can print the photo if I send it to Paint first, I can print text documents and emails,  photos print ok from another pc on my network.
It is a difficult problem to overcome considering Hp Scan and Print Doctor says all is ok!
    Thanks, Tony

  • Why do 4x6 photos not print from computer on 7520 HP printer

In settings I changed it to 4x6 photo paper and set it at that default. Then when I want to print from the 4x6 tray it tells me the tray is empty meaning the 8x11 tray is empty, which should be empty. It should switch to the 4x6 tray but it does not do that so therefore I can not print 4x6 photos. What else can I do? Am I missing something?

I found the answer to my own problem. Leave the paper in the bottom tray as well when one puts photo paper in the 4x6 tray. That is the reason it tells me my tray is empty when in fact the bottom 8x11 tray should have paper in it as well. Only the Settings need to be changed for 4x6 photo paper and then change it back to the 8x11 to letter paper.

  • White background of cropped photo keeps printing in pdf

    Hi'ya
Using the "Extract" filter to crop a photo in Photoshop 7.0 allowed me to extract a person from a photo and it was saved as a .psd file.
In my InDesign 2.0.1 layout, the psd file looks great and as it was an extracted image, I can put things in the foreground or background for a layering effect.
I go to make a pdf and the pdf looks great on screen but when it comes to printing a white but invisible box prints around the psd file and blocks off items behind it.
    HELP!

I don't have your version of InDesign, but I would export your InDesign file to PDFx-1a (Acrobat 4 compatibility) Advanced> transparency flattener (high-res), then print the PDF.
In later versions of InDesign you can go to window> output> flattener preview> transparency flattener presets> (high-res).

  • All or parts of character not printing in Windows 8

HP DeskJet 6840 printer worked fine under Windows 7 but now on Windows 8, in some instances, parts of the first character in a line are missing and occasionally further missing characters across some lines.  In some cases, the top part of characters is missing and in some cases the last character in a line is missing part or all of itself.  The printer is connected to my LAN via cable (not wirelessly).
The hardware test page prints just fine (tells me there is ink and the jets are clean) but the Windows Printer Test Page and other programs (Word, Excel, etc.) have this sporatic problem.  When printing to my other printer HP 6700 OfficeJet (from the same computer), I can print fine.  The 6700 is connected wirelessly.
I have downloaded, removed, reinstalled the latest HP driver and all Windows updates are installed.  I'm ready to sell the printer on eBay and buy something else but though someone on this forum could offer suggestions.
    thank you in advance,
    Bob

Hi rcowen, Sorry to hear that you are having issue's with getting your printer to function properly with windows 8.   I have done some research and I have noticed that this model of printer is not supported with Windows 8.  Here is a document that shows the minimum system requirements. http://goo.gl/IMWBER
What you can try to do is use the generic print driver from within windows 8.  If you go to the add a printer option with in windows 8 and select the Deskjet 990c print driver or the Deskjet 550c print driver and then connect your printer, this may resolve your issue.  I can not guarantee that this will work but I have had it prove to be successful for me in the past.
One other option is, seeing that you have an HP printer, you may very well qualify for the "Trade In Trade Up" program that HP provides.  All you would need to do is call HP at 1-800-474-6836 and inquire about this option.  You will be asked for your serial number that is located on the back of your printer on a sticker that is near a bar code.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I will be more than happy to assist you.
    Thank you

  • Photos not printing right

When I try to print photos using MS Vista OS they come out looking like negatives.  It isn't the printer itself as it prints photos fine when using MS XP OS.    What am I missing with Vista?

We use CS6, yes we calibrate using x-rite. I have always had adobe manage colors when printing. This problem just occurred, all my settings are the same as they have been for years. The only thing we did lately is do an update to CS6. We thought it might be our printer but when we use the printer manages color it works fine, The problem with adobe manages color is it is not blending the light highlights like on top of the cheeks with the colors around the cheeks  and its putting a faint red between the two it just does not have a smooth transition. I printed a photo that I had printed 4 months ago with no issue, and this time it had the issue that I am dealing with now. Somehow the photo shop manages color is not getting the right info to my printer.
    I set paper type
    set quality
    no color adjustment
    set my profile

  • Dark parts of images not printing well

I am trying to troubleshoot printing a twilinght image with subtle detail in dark areas of the image. I can see the detail fine looking directly at the iMac display, but it consistently prints darker loosing the subtle shadings. I have tried monitor calibration and setting the printer menu to use Photoshop colors, etc, , but with little effect on ameliorating this problem.
However one thing I am noticing: unlike my Apple Cineman display at my office, on my home iMAC G5 LCD display the darker parts of an image can very considerably in their darkness depending on the angle (from directly in front) at which I look at the screen. So, there are some angles, generally from below the 90 degree point, at which the screen image resembles the printed image, loosing the subtle shading in the dark areas. So, what is considered the bona fide image on the iMac G5 display that is sent to the printer, given how different the image can look depending on the angle.

    kreidberg,
What you didn't mention is what printer you are using. Print image matching has so many variable factors that trying to diagnose your problem is difficult without this information. These factors include color profiles, monitor calibration (hardware vs software), printer drivers, printer settings, paper used etc. Many inkjet printers are just unable to reproduce subtle shades in dark areas. The new Canon IPF 5000 is probably the best inkjet on the market for this partcular task since it contains 3 separate shades of black ink cartridges.

  • Photos not printing from Iphoto

I have an Hp photosmart 6520. I cannot print photos from Iphoto. The printer

  • In-line HTML images do not print

Hi! Has anyone ever loaded HTML with images into a dynamic
text field and tried to print the text field? Although the image
and text appear fine at run-time, sending a command to print the
instance containing the field prints only the text and not the
image the text wraps around. In the printout, the effect is of the
text wrapping around an invisible box. I've used print and
printAsBitmap. I'm exporting to Flash Player 8.

I had a similar problem with missing images. I never really
solved it, but it (apparently) went away. One thing which helped
was ensuring that none of my images had filenames containing
    spaces.
In addition, selecting Link images rather than Embed can be
useful; missing images are then replaced by a red cross which makes
it easier to locate the problem.
Also, in Word, you should uncheck Tools > Options >
Print > Update Fields (that is for Word 2003).

  • White lines in *.SVG-images

When I'm placing a *.SVG-image in Muse, I get a thick white line in the bottom and a thinner white line to the right in the placed image. These lines kan not be removed in Muse. What do I do wrong?

For now the only fix is this choice:
    1. Register for Adobe's beta program, sign a NDA and then see if the beta of Muse fixes SVG issues.
    2. Wait for the next official point release of Muse.
Muse 2014.2 was released in early October. I'm wondering when "2014.3" will be released. Previously a lot of the point releases came every 2 or maybe 3 months. We're now at four months and counting between point releases. That's kind of a long time to wait for getting a pretty obvious bug fixed, such as the white underline problem in SVG images. I thought Adobe's engineers would have addressed that one pretty quickly.
    Sidetrack:
I can only guess what's going on behind the scenes at Adobe. Perhaps they're making some pretty big, fundamental changes to Muse to make the application a whole lot better. I hope Adobe's engineers aren't getting sidetracked by armchair quarterback nonsense coming from stock investors. Creative Cloud subscription numbers are rising, but Adobe's margins have been shrinking, in part because of lots of research & development (good for us users). So lots of stock buyers are telling Adobe what they need to do, and some are suggesting they put a lot more of their resources behind sales and marketing tools. Adobe announced a $2 billion stock buy-back program in January (after finishing the previous one). Investors are very impatient. They're complaining about the hit to revenue over the transition from boxed perpetual license software to a subscription only model. The investors don't understand creative professionals are literally going to get forced onto Creative Cloud as they get rid of older, slower computers. They also don't seem privy to Adobe's growth in some other niches, like video. Premiere Pro has been surging in popularity at the expense of Final Cut and Avid. It reminds me of how InDesign rose to dominate Quark Xpress.
I don't like having to pay a subscription for Adobe applications, but for my work I am stuck with it. Adobe doesn't have enough credible competition to change that. And Adobe's competitors are trying to jump on the subscription model too.

  • E71 camera bug - white lines

After installing new firmware version 400.21.013 some new bugs appeared. When I'm using camera sometimes picture has large pixels and it isn't bright. Also from time to time some white lines appear on the screen. They are not grid lines that you can turn on and off. I've tried to take a picture of them but it's fuzzy. Those lines on the picture are thin. Beside them some thick white line also appeared but I couldn't capture that moment

I have the same problem too...
I think it is a software problem with to many applications open.
It also happens if the screen lock kicks in and I press a button to re activate.
Only once has my phone "frozen" and then I had to take the battery out.
I can live with it though.
