SEM-BCS: Error source currency is not specified

Hi,
I was testing period 5 fy 2007 in a sandbox system for elimination of inter-unit profit and loss in inventory and got this error message: source currency not specified.
Please help what is wrong. Thank you.

Yes, we load the data via flexible load and it will reflect in inventory data and supplier data ODS/DSO.
Once loading is done for both inventory and supplier data in our usual manner, we are now ready to execute I/U elim P/L.
But encountered an error saying "source currency is not specified". Diagnosis: You want to translate a source key figure into target key figure. However, you did not specify a currency key for the source key figure"
This is the error message.

I downloaded the Microsoft Autoruns package and ran it. There are no programs in the LSA Providers tab, and Apple's Bonjour is the only program in the Winsock Providers tab. I also did the "netsh winsock reset" and rebooted. It didn't fix the problem. Any more ideas?

Transporting Process Chain - error Source system does not exist

I tried to transport a local PC by itself (not including its main meta chain) since I have only done modifications in the local PC only. In the PC, there are PSA Processing, ODS Processing, ODS Activation, ABAP Program w/ variants and Infocube Rollup.
However, I got the following transport error: Source system does not exist

Diagnosis
Source system is not known.
System Response
The imported data for DataSource was deleted again because the referenced source system does not exist and no mapping is defined in table RSLOGSYSMAP on an existing productive source system.
Procedure
Create the referenced source system in the Data Warehousing Workbench or define mapping to a known source system in table RSLOGSYSMAP.
You get to maintenance using Tools -> Conversion of the logical system names.

I have checked at the table RSLOGSYSMAP and all source system mappings are in order.
And the weird thing is, upon checking the PC itself in the transport-to box, I can activate it without any error.
FYI, we are currently upgrading to BI Accelerator. Am not sure if this could be one of the reasons.
Any inputs and tips are highly appreciated and will be rewarded with points accordingly.

This error is due to the fact that the
mapping table for the after import (RSLOGSYSMAP) is not correct maintained in PB7 system.
You need to maintain table RSLOGSYSMAP in each system
You can find the steps to do it in the attached note 127326:
o Maintain table 'RSLOGSYSMAP' in the target BW with view
   'V_RSLOGSYSMAP' and enter as 'original source system' the logical name of the source system in the source BW and as 'target source system' the logical name of the source system in the target BW.
   This maintenance is required since it allows the correct source system reference of the InfoSources to be transported.
This source system reference in turn is absolutely necessary to activate the transfer structure.
   Example:
   Source BW with source system AAA.
   Target BW with source system BBB where the source system AAA
   corresponds to the source system BBB.
   Entry in RSLOGSYSMAP in the target BW:
   Original source system: AAA, target source system: BBB.
   Give the DDIC user in the source BW in client 000 the
   authorization profile S_RS_ALL to create BW objects.

TO Error: Source HU ******* is not contained in Source storage unit *******

Dear All,
Our warehouse Handling Unit managed. I have created a delivery which is partially picked.
After that when I am trying to create Transfer Order, I am getting an error "*Source HU ******* is not contained in Source storage unit ******"
I am getting a pop up window in the name of "Enter withdrawal of Handling Units", and it is asking me to enter the Quantity to be repacked.
I am getting this error only when I am doing Partial picking.
How to get rid of this error. Kindly suggest.

This can be the whole pallet have to be withdrawn from the source (flag LTAP-HOMVE is set on, 'X'), but HU picking control does not propose the source HU as the destination HU (flag LTAP-HUPIK is clear, ' '). Kindly check.
If that is not the case then, for your reference refer following SAP notes:
- 662020:      Processing of TO with different storage types
- 514604:      Storage unit is not deleted when posting goods issue
- 721901:      Errors LF-064, L3-848 while picking w/o pick-HU
- 552073:      Message L3222 when creating transfer order with LT09
- 505542:      Incomplete TO confirmation in Transaction LT0H & LT0I

Normally Planned delivery costs are known at the time of the PO, hence they are loaded to the value of Inventory.
Unplanned Costs are not planned, that is the reason they cant be loaded to the Inventory, becuase we dont know the costs at the time of GR, these costs needs to be written off. But since Purchase order doesnot have a cost object associated with it. It throws this error.
We tackle this by configuring OKB9 for this GL Account/Cost element with a cost object.

SEM BCS - Error in Consolidation Area

Dear Experts,
When i save my consolidation area, there is an error message.
it is "Syntax error in GP_ERR_UCDTYPE, row 8.880".
The Diagnosis said "Component called REFYEAR already exists".
I can not found "REFYEAR" in my system.
I am using info cube 0BCS_C11.
Please help....

Though I am not an expert in this area I have found the following information with a similar problem in another customer that maybe useful:
"On the basis of your problem description it seems that you assigned in
the data basis maintenance the `SEM-BCS info-object catalogue` for
characteristics and key figures to the two info-object catalogues (on
the first tab strip of data basis maintenance). This makes the trouble.
Please read the F1 help carefully and if you need an extra info-object
catalogue, then please create one. Please note that the SEM-BCS standard
info-object catalogues are NOT appropriate for this purpose.
F1 help:
"InfoObject Catalog for Characteristics
InfoObject catalog of the SAP Business Information Warehouse to include
additional characteristics.
Use
You use this field as follows:
In a data basis, the InfoObject catalog contains the quantity of
additional fields that can be selected on the Additional Financial Data
tab page for investments and equity.
In a source data basis, the InfoObject catalog portrays the definition
of an external field catalog, which can be used in a method of the
category Flexible Upload, if a data basis was allocated to the source
data basis."
In order to remove the info-object catalogs you can use the transaction
UCWB01.

Dataload Error : Source Currency is blank or null

I have loaded data from the DSO into the InfoCube and the Staus is Not OK.
I am facing the dataload error:
The unit currency Source Currency 0CURRENCY with the value 'space' is assigned to the key figure 'Source key figure ZMTR2WPC' with the value ' 100.00'.
Does anyone know the resolution to this problem?

Hi,
One of your record is having 0CURRENCY as blank for key figure ZMTR2WPC.
Either correct the record in source or PSA (by assigning some value) or write field level UOM conversion for 0CURRENCY for the key figure ZMTR2WPC. (As assign some default unit for key figure if blank).

After transporting I get error "source system does not exist"

Hello all,
I have transported my objetcs to BW quality system and transported the data sources to r/3 quality and everything went fine. But now when I am trying to go through everything my update rules are inactive and when I get to infosource it gives me this error
"Source system ERJ100 does not exist."
Is there any importamnt step that I am missing why are the objects not recognizing the source system?

Hi everyone,
I get a problem when trying to add my MobileMe account in iCal. The error message I receive after trying to add ("+") my MobileMe account to iCal is:

SEM BCS - Multple group currencies

Hello everyone,
I would like to share a scenario from my current implementation.
We decided to perform currency translation in FI and bring the translated numbers into BCS. Group currency would be USD.
At the same time this client has local GAAP requirement. They want to perform consolidation in their local currency. There will be a separate hierarchy for this group of companies in BCS.
I know we can have multiple group currencies in BCS. How do we set up multiple group currencies in a single consolidation area?
Can anyone come across similar situations?
Would you please share your ideas?

Transport Error: Source system does not exist. Message no. RSAR203

Hi,
after transporting from BI_DEVELOP to BI_TEST I get an error whil importing Datasources:
Source system ERP_DEVELOP_SOURCESYSTEM does not exist - Message no. RSAR203
Which is upon the first sight correct, because I got the followings systems, RFC's and BI Sourcesystem:
ERP_DEVELOP -> BI_DEVELOP with RFC & Sourcesystem ERP_DEVELOP_SOURCESYSTEM pointing to ERP_DEVELOP
ERP_TEST -> BI_TEST with RFC & Sourcesystem ERP_TEST_SOURCESYSETM pointing to ERP_TEST
Can I map in the transport ( and how) in a way that the transports do not fail ?
ERP_DEVELOP_SOURCESYSTEM to ERP_TEST_SOURCESYSETM
or
Do I need to setup in BI_TEST a Sourcesystem ERP_DEVELOP_SOURCESYSTEM pointing to ERP_TEST ?

Hi Martin,
You have to maintain the transport connection between your ERP_DEVELOP and ERP_TEST
your transport path should be as below
BI_DEVELOP -
> BI_TEST
ERP_DEVELOP -
> ERP_TEST
1)Make sure you have FRC connection between BI_DEVELOP and ERP_DEVELOP, BI_TEST and ERP_TEST
2)check you have transport connection between BI_DEVELOP and BI_TEST,ERP_DEVELOP and ERP_TEST
Now you transports should not fail

Download error "source file could not be read" when closing tab.

So it seems like when I start a download by clicking a link on a website and I close that tab before the download finishes I get a download error and the file stops downloading.
I first noticed this on some site and thought it was a problem with the site, but then it happened again when I went to download the Flash update.

When I run Firefox with add-ons disabled (thanks for the handy menu item) the problem does not occur.

Whats the problem with this thing?
One thing i can tell is that i changed some settings in Micromedia Flash, because i learned that they where spying on US, then boom no more download. It stops and tell me it could not be read from the server. Dont remember if it started right after i changed the settings, but its driving me nuts

I am running into an issue with this error and I have tried to fix it multiple times, however I cannot seem to get it. check your depreciation area settings for the Currencies.
also check your company code has parallel currencies & Check whether foreign currency translation is maintained in the table.
