SEM Planning Areas Error

Hi All,
We have recently upgraded to BW 3.3 Content. After the upgrade I am unable to access/change the Planning Areas in BPS0 transaction. I am getting a pop-up with an error message as Syntax error in program /1SEM/CL_CHALEV_100ZDIN=======CP. (ZDIN is the name of my planning Area)
The error is only for existing Planning Areas. I am able to create new Planning Areas without any problems.
I have already refered the notes - 528726, 412101 and 435425. But no luck.
Has anybody faced this issue.

Loading data from cube to Planning Area - Error

I have two cubes. one has history data and other ratios.
the forecast is dis aggregated based on that ratios.
first the ratio data is getting loaded and gets populated.
when i try to load the history data, a error says, CVC not maintained.
there are totally 6 Char used in this Config.
MPOS is created using the ratio cube and has the same char as in history cube, additionally one more sub family.
Can some one help me in this.??

the main obj of not including it in hist cube, i forecast @ mktfam level n dis aggre to sub family.
if i include the sub family also in hist cube, then i can forecast @ sub family itself..
the whole dis agg. logic does not serve the purpose.
On the Adjustment of Time series, will try it n revert n back.
like can you please tell me how it affects the process???? or the logic behind doing this????

Error in generating data source from planning area

Hi experts! I have an error while making data source from planning area:
after the screen when i fill in the data source name (Window name: Generate export data source) i have the SYNTAX_ERROR Message:
Syntax error in program /sapapo/cl_im_extract_ex======cp
the main reason: the type /BI0/9A0IVWKNDGD is unknown
what you can suggest to solve this problem?

Dear Andrey Kudriavzev,
The reason is the program is trying to use the datatype '/BI0/9A0IVWKNDGD' which does not exist in the system.
Go SE11 to cross check if it exists. Check dataelement radiobutton -> enter /BI0/9A0IVWKNDGD -> Choose display option. You would need to create this datatype in the system. I feel there must some OSS Note related to this.
Search for an OSS Note. Raise one if you cannot find the relevant notes.

Getting an error while activating a planning area "Enter values for planning horizon From and planning horizon To for the storage time profile level"

Dear S&OP community,
I am getting following error while creating a planning ares in a newly installed sandbox. "Enter values for planning horizon From and planning horizon To for the storage time profile level".
This what I did...
1) Created new attributes and master data objects and activated them successfully.
2) Time profile created and activated successfully
3) Trying to create planing area by assigning time profile in step 2 and assigned master data from step1..Unable to save the data and system returns
this error - "Enter values for planning horizon From and planning horizon To for the storage time profile level"
My understanding is time profile needs to be active but doesn't have to have values...
Any help is appreciated.

Error while taking back up of Planning Area to Back Up Cube

Hi,
I am taking the back up of Planning Area to Back Up Cube. I am getting the following error message "Error 7 occurred when transferring an IDoc to the Business Information Warehouse". I tried to load data couple of times but I got the same error message on both occasions.
We are working on SAP SCM 4, SP13.
Kindly let me know if anybody knows how to resolve this issue.

Error message while activating Planning Area in S&OP on Hana

Is your issue resolved, If not please run MPOS consistency checks, Planning area consistency check and livecache consistency check.

Error While Copying Planning Area

Hi all,
I am in the process of creating a new planning area by copying 9ASNP03. But while i copy the system throws the following error "Planning Object Structure ID 9ALA is invalid". Also 9ASNP03 is not active.
Please help me out with this error.

Hi Arun,
Please activate the POS 9ASNPSA linked to the Planning area 9ASNP03 or any copy of 9ASNP03.
Once you activate this POS 9ASNPSA, you can just copy the inactive/active Planning area 9ASNP03 to custom.
This would solve your error "Planning Object Structure ID 9ALA is invalid"

Error /SAPAPO/TSM 041 when loading from InfoCube to SNP planning area

I am using APO V5.1.
I have a 'backup' InfoCube with characteristics 9ARNAME and 9AVERSION which I'm loading to an SNP planning area via trans /SAPAPO/TSCUBE. The InfoCube is itself populated from the 9ARE aggregate of the SNP planning area.
But I get error /SAPAPO/TSM 041when I run the load, suggesting absence of a required characteristic or navigation attribute in the Cube. Do I need 9ALOCNO for instance?
Can anyone advise me here?...

I am not very sure about the 9ARE aggregate (haven't used it in backups), but RTSCUBE is used to copy time Series (TS) KF data from cube to planning area (SNP or DP).
Are you trying to restore some time series data from your backup cube to the planning area? If yes, then do a mapping of characteristic from cube to planning area in RTSCUBE, and also map the TS KF between cube and planning area.
If your KF is not a time series KF, then you can't copy it from cube to planning area. You could get data to cube for some reporting, otherwise I am not sure what use the backup is for you. For SNP, most of the data would be received from R/3, so there's not much point in having a backup.

There seems to be no extract strucutre available for this data source in quality. This is creating the problem in quality. The extract strucutre which is created in your scenario would be available in temp folder and that will not be availbale for transport, so you need to have the datasource generated in quality and then you transport the active version to quality so that it will be available with the changes as that of development.

Error while trying activate planning area

Hi APO Gurus,
I am faced with a problem of not being able to activate a planning area although my live cache is operational. This is a fresh installation of APO and when I view the Model (000) and Active Version (000) I see the message at the bottom saying - "Live Cache is not available" although my Live Cache is active and operational
Further, when I tried to activate the PA I got an error message Internal Error [/sapapo/OM_TS_CHANGE_TG].
I get a dump with the following message on trying to save the active version with changes

Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "/SAPAPO/SAPLDM_LC_SQL" had to be terminated because
it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
A table is referred to in an SAP Open SQL statement that either does not
exist or is unknown to the ABAP Data Dictionary.
The table involved is "/SAPAPO/ORDKEY " or another table accessed in the
statement.
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

Dear Vijay Swaminathan,
The short dumps with error DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN have occured because the two important SQL tables /SAPAPO/ORDKEY and /SAPAPO/ORDMAP were missing in liveCache.
This problem has occured because liveCache has not been initialized correctly.
To rectify the problem please initialize the liveCache with transaction LC10. After liveCache is initialized successfully the two required SQL tables will be created in liveCache by the report /SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS that has been specified as liveCache init follow up report (see transaction LC10   > button 'Integration'   > tab 'Administration report').
Please also ensure that the checks indicated in the second tab of transaction /SAPAPO/OM13 shows green lights.
This should solve the problem.

Installing Planning Areas delivered with SEM 4.0

We have installed the Business Content from within the "Install Business Content" menu under RSA1. I think the cube was SEm_C18 but can't remember for sure since I'm not in front of the menu. Can someone help me understand how to install the planning areas that are delivered. They do not show up under the "Install Business Content" area.
I've heard that we need to install from client 000 but that does not seem logical compared to all the other content we have installed. This was not taught in the BPS class. Any help for our company would be appreciated.

Hi Richard,
The process is different to the normal BW process, instead of installing it directly on your client, you have to select the process in client 000 and then import in your working client.
The process is as follows:
1) log on to client 000 of your BW system
2) goto transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT (in client 000 of course) and click the planning function you want to install the busines content of
3) run transaction UPB_APPL_IMPORT; this will generate a transport request
4) release this transport in client 000
5) import in the working client
Most of the planning areas are defined as remote planning areas, you will receive an error if you try to access them.
Switch to local planning areas in the planning area.
You also have to install the BW transactional cubes, this can be done using the normal BW business content transactions.

Hi Thomson,
I think in planning area you did not only add the time series key figures
to the planning area but also defined key figure semantics for those
key figures. This must not be. To see those semantics you can check
the key figure details in transaction /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN on the
key figure tab by selecting key figure details. For the time series
keyfigures, the semantics column is filled with values like 300, 301,
etc. If you wants to use time series key figures in addition
to the standard SNP-key figures, the semantics field has to be empty.
You can compare that with the settings in the other planning area where
everything is working fine.
If this is not the case then please refer the below note and execute the consistency reports as in note:

Hi,
The issue is that The Characteristic Combination is present in MPOS as well as in the list cube.While Uploading sales from the list cube result is that for some months Sales is matching exactly where as for some months data is not showing in the planning area though sales is present in list cube for the same month.I have run Consistency checks for Time series also.

Unit conversion Error during initialize planning area

Hi,
When the dependent requirements planning area initialized for version 700 after filling BOM for Finished products for a Plant, system throws error message u201CUnit conversion not possible for product XXXXX (KG=>KM) u201D. The planning area UOM is KM and the finished product uom is also KM. The components uom is KG and EA. Why this error is thrown.
We can't maintain a alternate UOM measure for the component for EA and KM conversion.
Can someone explain how to overcome this error.

Please check the specific product on your system if they have same base UoM both ECC and APO. Also do you have user-exit for unit of measures implemented on your system?
