Send a message to my laptop

i have received a multimedia message , but i am not able to transfer it to my laptop , i saved the message in the “my folder”s on the mobile , but when i browse my mobile using my laptop i can not find the folder and the message any help??/

I'm not sure where "my folders" is on the mobile - it's a new one on me and given I'm fairly familiar with the directory structures, I suspect that's your problem.
Can you see this directory using File Manager on the phone? If you can't, then "my folders" isn't part of the memory that is visible to PC Suite, ie: it's not a sub-directory of "phone memory:\data" or on the memory card.
The easiest solution would be to re-save the message in a visible part of memory.
If that's not an option, you could install something like Y-Browser (it's free - google it) which will let you see all of the phone memory, including the parts not supported by PC Suite and File Manager. You could then locate the message file(s) and copy it/them to somewhere in visible memory.
The other possibility is that you are connecting to the laptop in Data Transfer mode (you should be prompted to select the mode on the phone when you connect the USB cable). This only lets you see the contents of the memory card. If "my folders" is on phone memory you won't be able to see it. Reconnect in PC Suite mode to also see sub-directories of "phone memory:\data".

Thanks for the question. You can configure what address you start new conversations from on both devices:

Please note that this will only work for new conversations, and will also be affected if another iMessage user starts a conversation with you (ex. if a friend sent you a message to your phone number, you will still receive that on your Mac, and you will be replying from your phone number).

umm... you don't. SMS is a function of the BlackBerry, not your PC.
There could a desktop software for SMS, but I don't know what it would be.

I know we can say 'this is mom or this is dad" but when an email is sent it identifies the device that sent it so why not imessages too?

Stop using the same apple id on all your devices. Each person should have their own. You can still share apps via home sharing.

Something has changed and TB is now sending the messages I created to Send Later (which are in the Outbox) without asking me as soon as I re-connect to a network (i.e., it correctly stores it into the Outbox but if my laptop loses the network-- because for example I close it to go home -- as soon as it reconnects it sends all messages without asking me).
I have a Mac and I cannot find the Advanced > Network & Disc Space settings that (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1004514) indicates as the solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I already have multiple devices and by far I like my iPad the most over laptops and the iPad. That including checking out my friends MacBook Air.
The difference for me is the touch interface on the screen itself for things that do not require a lot of typing. For me, the iPad is more "magical" than anything else I've used.
Again, I do appreciate your answers but you don't know my situation. Not everything is as it is perceived without knowing me and what I have to go through.

CANNOT send SMS messages with ADDRESS BOOK on POWERBOOK using iPHONE

I cannot send SMS messages with my address book or dial phone numbers using my Powerbook via the iPHONE.
Previously, with my Sony Ericson phone, I could do both. It's very useful, when you are at your laptop, to use your computer keyboard to send SMS text messages back and forth rather than using the clumsy small keys on a phone.
Can someone help?

You are not missing something here and no one here can help you. This is not an included Bluetooth profile with the iPhone at the present time anyway.

Why doesnt imessage always send the messages to that one same contact?

I have the new ipod touch with ios5. Imessage ,at first, worked well with every contact... But sometimes it doesnt show me the delivered sign/ message which i assume that it didnt send the message. Help!! Whats causing this problem and how can i fix it? Many think its because of the connection but i use the laptop at the same time and Its perfectly well! HelP!!

maybe the other person is deleteing your messages without reading it,hence the delivered sign not appearing.

greetings. my friend has a laptop PC. He can send fax messages to a fax machine. can my ibook do the same thing? Is there an existing software that is already built in? or do i still have to buy that specific software? what software will i be needing. please advise. thanks.

I don't know about built in software but there is definitely software, shareware and freeware available for OSX that let's you send a fax.

I have the exact same problem. I have not changed anything. This is probably a bug or something that has gone bad with Mac OS X (10.7.2). I have not found any solution for this on the web.

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

Cannot send email via AOL on iPad2 - "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed."

My CEO has an ipad2 and I set it up w/ AOL. She cannot send any email via her AOL account from her iPad. She gets a message that says "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." We've tried it on wifi and on 3G (Verizon version). I've removed the account and added it, I've tried setting it up as an IMAP account vs. using Apples standard AOL mail setting and nothing seems to work. The SMTP settings are smtp.aol.com, port 587. I've tried adding an alternate server/smtp, but I haven't been able to find anything that works. Any advice or other people having this issue? It works fine sending an email from her aol web mail. And unfortunately, having her sign up for a gmail account is not an option. Thanks

Interesting. Firstly I have been on AOL since the early 90s with no current intention to switch as my primary personal email account.
I have two email accounts on my iphone - AOL and my email from my business website. I deleted both and then recreated first the business account and then the AOL account. Same error. Then I wasn't sure what you suggested but I turned off the AOL SMTP server and selected the business email SMTP server by turning it on with the same result. I still get the error "A Copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the mssage content to the server failed."
Perhaps this problem will get fixed by IOS 6. AOL will not talk to me unless I pay and Apple says its not their problem. So for the time being I use the AOL web interface in the iPhone's Safari to send emails from the phone.
