Send a report to email from oracle backend
Hello friends,
i created one report in report builder.
i created one trigger.
Now when trigger fired ,i want to send this report to client email.
Plese let me know as early as possible.

Instead of trigger, I suggest you write a Unix concurrent program which can send your report output as an email.
Step 1: Run the Report
Step 2: Create the unix program that sends report output as an email.
you can use mutt command in the unix program to send as email.

I'm trying to send a report to outlook from form.
but when I run the report with the following report parameters:

then it opens a dialog box of outlook asking the cotacts whom I wanna mail this file and then opens outlook with the above mentioned report file but with a default file name like "Report.pdf" and it doesn't show the send mail button in opened outlook window.

Sending Unicode HTML email from Oracle
Dear All,
How we can send the HTML email from Oracle in Unicode format (I am using Arabic Language, to be specific). So far I have tried the following solutions (using utl_smpt) without any success (either i see junk characters in the email or see question marks). Would you please help me in solving this?

ACL error when sending email from Oracle 11g
Hi,
It returned something like "error...ACL security" when I tried to send email from Oracle 11g. Is there any security thing that I need to release in Oracle 11g? I used to send emails from Oracle 10g and didn't find any problem.

Hi all
I have a requirement to send emails to managers internal to the company from oracle whenever the orders placed by customers are not acknowleded in certian time like within 6 hrs or so.I could figure out the logic but dont know how to send an email from oracle.
my logic:
creating a job which will be scheduled to run every 4 or 5 hrs.this job runs a stored procedure which does all the logic and sends an email.
any suggesions or source is greatly appreciated.

I've jumped into the conclusion that, besides what the name
means "Encapsulated Post Script", they are a complete mistery
for almost everyone. In all messages posted in these forums I've
read that "You need an Oracle product to be able to read .eps
files" but nobody mentions the product's name...
A workaround is to produce HTML output and send it like that.
Depending on the Reports version you have you can set your
report's System Parameters like this and it will do:
DESNAME : Mail Recipient (eg. [email protected])
DESFORMAT : HTML
DESTYPE : Mail
What I'm trying to figure out is how to make Reports find the
images it attaches to the HTML, 'cause it never does. If you
find out, please let me know.

What do you mean "clicked on my link" and "login
page"? It sounds like you're describing a web based
interface, which would imply that you were using the
HTTP protocol, not SMTP, and connecting on port 80
(or 443 if you're using HTTPS). If you want to send
an email from Oracle, you're going to need access to
an SMTP server, not a HTTP server.

i would try DESTYPE=MAIL and the DESNAME would be the receipient.
but be aware that on windows the desname must be a valid entry in the addressbook of your mail client (restriction of some MAPI clients)

Question
I can no longer send or respond to email from my Firefox browser. I closed and sent from Internet explorer and it works fine. What changed? The only thing different this morning, I downloaded Adobe uprade?I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case...
