Send Button and XMLP_SCHEDULER group security bug

hi folks,
My BIP users are grouped into basic users who can just read reports and advanced users who can schedule them. Obviously i've done this using the XMLP_SCHEDULER group, no problem. Those in XMLP_SCHEDULER see the scheduler button and it works fine and those not in the group cannot see the schedule button.
However, the basic users who are NOT in the XMLP_SCHEDULER group still see the "send" button, but when they click on it it gives an error:
"Unauthorized Access: please contact the administrator."
I would like the basic users to be able to send, NOT to schedule. Or if this is not possible at least for them not to see the send button!
This seems like a bug in the security setup which i wonder if anyone else has managed to work around.
thanks
neil

Hi Saichand,
I have a related and one requirement on SEND button in BI Publisher. we want to disable SEND button for the users for few reports or enable for few reports.
I mean not taking of the buttion, anyways SEND buttion comes with the product. but they want to enable or disable the buttion for users.
Any ideas / thoughts would be greatly apprecated.
Thanks in advance
skat

  • Long delay between send button and actual send in mail

When sending messages in mail, there is a long delay between the time I hit the send button and the actual sending begins.  Message and attachment size have no bearing.  The delay is usually about 30 seconds, but sometimes longer.

There was info in the detail window when I opened it.  Also, it was not immediately connecting to the server, but when I clicked back on the regular mail window to send a test message, the server connected instantly.  Below is all that was in the details window:

The one that didn't get the message is recieving error messages on the oputlook even thought it still forwarding everything to the blackberry, the error messages come every 15 mins.
    Any clues?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
What, precisely, is the error message?
What device model do you have?
What device OS level do you have (all 4 octets)?
    What carrier are you with?
How, exactly, did you configure these email accounts?

  • My send button and my chat buttons are ghosted

Hi my send button on my emails and my chat button are ghosted so I cannot send emails  Thank you for your time  Pat

and it has downloaded my photos
Does this mean your photos are now in the library?  If not then downloaded to where?
Make a duplicate copy of the library and try the following:
1 - delete  the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file,, Cache.dbt, that is located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences..

  • LDAP and Notes Group Security Authentication Troubles

First, my apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but after looking at the forum names a few times this seemed the most appropriate.
I have a PDF file that I would like to have access restricted to a certain group on my organization's directory server. I'm kind of the new guy here, so I'm not 100% certain on this, but I'm pretty sure that our setup is:
A Lotus Domino LDAP server storing the directory information in a Lotus Notes database. Each user has a Notes certificate stored on the server for authentication to various databases we have on our intranet.
I've entered the LDAP server information in the Security Settings... window in Acrobat, and I'm sure its correct as I can use the same information to browse the LDAP server with Softerra LDAP browser. There is no authentication required, but the server might restrict access based on domain; I'm not sure (shouldn't matter). Anyway, when I go to Manage Trusted Identities... then Add Contacts, then Search, I can never get any results to return.
I wish to only allow users in a certain group, CN=ALLOWED - GROUP, to have access to the PDF. I feel that there should be a way to accomplish this with the Notes certificates. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or need to do?
If something I've said is wrong or unclear, I'd be happy to try again; this sort of thing isn't my forte.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

    > I guess the CA is the machine that's hosting the Lotus notes database
No, the CA is merely an "entity". It's your Certificate Authority, the master certificate used to sign and authenticate all subsidiary certificates. You are talking about setting this up as a PKI for signature validation and managed security, right? Or am I way off base with your workflow and leading you away from where you should be (if so, feel free to ignore me - lots of people do)?
Leonard is right though, for securing individual PDFs to a specific group you would need LiveCycle Rights Management ES. The security needs to be in the PDF itself otherwise its useless. Say you configure your security at an application level, as you are trying to do, and then someone copies the PDF to a USB key and takes it home. No longer on your network, so they can now freely open the document.

  • WWSBR_ALL_ITEMS and item level security - BUG?

    Hi,
View WWSBR_ALL_ITEMS does not seems to work correctly when using item level security on a folder.
If I add an item to a folder with item level security enabled and do NOT define any special access settings for this item, ie the item setting is "Inherit Parent Folder Access Privileges", then the view does not return the item.
Has anyone else run into this? Is it a bug?
    Any help appreciated.

I've been informed that patch 3.0.9.8.2 will solve the problem. Sorry about the double post.

  • Add bookmark button and horizontal scroll bar - bugs on Snow Leopard

Safari after update to 5.1.4, has a bug in interface on Snow Leopard (10.6.8): 'add bookmark' button (combined with addres bar), and horizontal scroll bar didn't look good.  I think, that shouldn't happend on flagship Apple browser, on just a little older OS X than 'Lion'.
Clearing (deleting files) 'Cache.db' and .plist files didn't help.

Ok..  maybe corrupted Safari preferences  (.plist )
    Quit Safari.
    Go to ~/Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari. If that helped, move the .plist file to the Trash.
If not, move it back to the Preferences folder.
If that didn't help, go to Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If it's not a plugin, try troubleshooting Safari third party unsupported add ons >  Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

    Hi,

For example:if i'm on facebook and want to upload some photos, the iphoto window open and this one is to big .So I cannot access to "upload' button and this window block, bug and i need to quite safari.
If i go to " Presentation" and reduce it,it's not good ( reduce the other window) and if I click on the green button on the left corner its (in my example)for the faceBook page.
    Somebody for help me?
    Thanks !

    Hi...
Login to another user account on your Mac. Try Facebook on Safari there. If it's ok there, then at least you know the issue is just with your user account, not a system wide problem.
If you don't have another user account available, instructions for creating one here.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html
If you haven't tried turning off Safari Extensions... do that. At least you can rule that out. You can access Safari Extensions from the menu bar, Safari / Preferences / Extensions.

  • Export/import login server and user grup security

    Hi,
I followed the instructions to export Login server, user group
security using the ssoexp.csh, secexp.csh. Then I imported the
login server, and user group security using the ssoimp.csh,
    secimp.csh .
I then logged into Portal and check the users, all the users are
imported properly. However, I didn't see any group that are
supposed to be imported. Do I missing anything?
The syntax to run the secimp is as follows:
    secimp.csh -s portal30 -p portal30 -o portal30 -m reuse -d
    sec.dmp -c target_database
The import finished w/o error. How can I see the groups in the
new portal instance that I tried to import objects in?
I noticed that the wwsec_group$ in the source area is over 3000,
and in the target the count is only 10, which is the number of
group I have before the import. But during the export, I don't
see the wwsec_group$ table being exported, is that the problem?
P.S. versions are: 9iAS 1.0.2, portal version 3.0.9.8 on solaris.
    Thanks;
    Kelly.

This question is best suited to the Oracle9iAS SSO and Portal Security forum.
    Thanks

  • I have no SEND button when I write an e-mail. I am receiving e-mails but cannot reply

Everything was fine this morning. I received and replied to e-mails. Then all of a sudden I went to write an e-mail. Wrote the e-mail but did not have a Send button, nor the toolbar that it was on. In fact the whole layout of "Write" looked different. I am still receiving e-mails but cannot reply to them. Why?

Many thanks - I now have a Send button and used it to send a reply to you.

  • Send button for invites in iCal

I have tried to use iCal to invite people to a meeting. According to the instructions, you put in the attendees and push he send button at the bottom of the info drawer. I do not see a send button and the OK is not functional. Any ideas?

    degrandwazoo,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Are you following the instructions listed in: Inviting guests to an event? Click None next to "attendees" (or if someone has already been invited to the event, click to the right of the name and press the Return key on your keyboard), then type the email address for the person you want to invite to the event. Are the attendees in your address book?
I can repeat your observation when I put one or all of my email addresses in the attendee field. In that case "Send" is not visible and "OK" is not functional.
    ;~)

  • DIMa Send Button (CDB is Blank)

    Hi,
I have found few data(Activity) is not in CDB. When i try to find the send/delete option for downloaing, i could not. Could you tell, how to download those data from CRM to CDB using DIMa?
Please refer the Note 636996. As per this note i couldn't find the send button and then choose 'Send from CRM to CDB' not possible.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/5e/ae88986ff48246a0e151c4f194aa7a/frameset.htm
The Send/Delete Button is not showing in SDIMA tcode. Kindly suggest where is the issue/What i need to do?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Bala.c

    Hi,
Firstly I assume by CDB you mean the CDB on the server, since that is what DIMa compares CRM data with. If this is the case then subscriptions are not your problem since they are responsible to get data from CDB to ides of the mobile client.
The object definition for BUS_TRANS_MSG in R3AC1 says the flow context of CRM to CDB is possible and hence that is the flow the object would go through. Go ahead and create a request with the proper GUIDs in R3AR2.
As I already mentioned, the help documentation on DIMa details all the features possible. Most R/3 to CRM DIMa object let you Send/Delete since that flow also takes care of CDB corrections. CDB objects do not usually implement the Send/Delete option.
    Best Regards,
    Ankan

  • When emailing a photo from the updated iPhoto, how do I find the CC and BCC button, and how do I send to a group from my address book?

when emailing a photo from the updated iPhoto, how do I find the CC and BCC button, and how do I send to a group from my address book?

The email function from iPhoto is pretty basic. The only Bcc available is to yourself (in iPhoto > Preferences > Advanced), cc: does not appear to be available at all, and it does not appear you can email to a group.
You can change this by going to iPhoto > Preferences > General and next to where it says Email photos using: select Mail. If you do this you have all the options available in Mail including Cc: and Bcc: and the ability to drag a group from Address Book into the mail addresses.
    Best of luck.

I am trying to reset the Security Questions as I have forgotten them, when I have logged into My Apple Id, and click on the button to reset the Security Questions, it states it is sending an email to the Primary Email address. I do not have the option to input a Rescue Email address, the only option I have is to input an Alternate Email address, which I have done so.
Also when I have tried to book an appointment throuth Online Support, I have not successful, I have rung a telephone number provided by the Mac Store in Perth, Australia and the reply provided is that we are closed. I was given to understand that Apple provided 24/7 Support to their users.
