Send display to monitor via wifi

Hello,
I have a Mac Mini which will be located near my projector and music amp system in my future apartment, but there's no obvious way to install a monitor and desk there, while I will have a monitor and desk somewhere else in the living room. I would like to keep the mac mini near the projector and amp, and to be able to send the display of the mac mini to the monitor (today a Iiyama 21'', but I can change) via wifi.
I know one of the solutions might be to plug my macbook air to the monitor and use remote desktop to see and control my mac mini from the mac book air, but it won't be convenient to plug the mac book air to the monitor every time I want to use the mac mini on the monitor...
Is there another piece of hardware I could use to 'stream' the video from the mac mini to my monitor, wirelessly?
Thanks a lot.
Cédric

If not an AirPrint enabled printer. See
    iOS: AirPrint 101\
    You need a third-party app.

  • Why is my iPad constantly sending/receiving (?) data via wifi?

I notice that even when I am not using my iPad that my modem is indicating that data is being transferred (no other devices connected) and when I turn off the wifi mode on the iPad the lights on the modem no longer flash. I have attempted to turn off anything that I think might be running in the background...???

Thank you, that seems to help some. I have turned off the main switch in "background app refresh" but I still see activity on my modem (?).

    Hi ronaldosy,
How about the work flow of Outlook or OWA on PC internally/externally?
If only phone has this issue, I suggest ask ActiveSync Forum for help so that you can get more professional suggestions. For your convenience:

  • How do I set up LiveRig or TouchOSC with Mainstage 2.2.2? Both apps send signals but none are received by Mainstage and both the ipad 3 (6.1) and macbook pro (10.7.5) see each other via WIFI?

As I said before both app's send signals but none are received by Mainstage and both the ipad 3 (6.1) and macbook pro (10.7.5) see each other via WIFI on the network set up, which I think I did right. I have tried MIDI Disigner and Mainstage shows MIDI activiti, what can I be doing wrong?
    Thanx in advance.

I agree anti-relay can be using UBE feature. However, there is serious problem in reject the spam mail. My nms is using UBE feature to stop spam mail. According to the work flow of the UBE, the mail is received by nms completely and UBE is going to invesgate the mail address. Although UBE can stop the spam mail, the spam mail have a trouble in returning the mail to the sender. The reason is the sender address is usually not existed in the world. That will cause a lot of mail waiting in the mail queue.
In my experience, do not use UBE for anti-relay.

What version of iTunes is on the computer? You need at least 11.4.

  • Will an X220 drive a Dell UP2414Q 4K 3840 x 2160 Monitor via Display Port?

I've not been able to find any information about this on the web and there is definitely some confusion about DisplayPort versions - could some one answer the question will an X220 drive a Dell UP2414Q 4K IPS Monitor at it's native resolution of 3840 x 2160 Monitor via Display Port? Would that be at 30Hz rather than 60Hz?
    Many thanks, Mark.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The X220 will drive the Dell UP2414Q 4K resolution through Displayport. I have tested this on the Pro2840m LCD which has the same resolution. But only on 30 hz refresh rate.
The X220 with the Series 3 Workstation Dock will drive 2 of the Pro2840m through 2 separate displayport.
The X201 will also drive this 4K resolution, as long as the LCD's 4K can accept Displayport 1.1 standard (on the 1.2 standard, the LCD will stay blank).

the above image confirms the 4K resolution and my X220 driving that resolution @ 30 hz.
For 60 hz refresh rate on the 4K resolution with integrated Intel GPU, you need Haswell CPU with the HD5000 graphics card, anything below that will only drive the 4K resolution at 30 Hz.

Facing problem with the code for sending an .xls attachment via email, a field value contains leading zeros but excel automatically removes these from display i.e. (00444 with be displayed as 444).kindly guide .

    Hi Chhayank,
the problem is not the exported xls. If you have a look inside with Notepad or something like that, you will see that your leading zeros are exported correct.Excel-settings occurs this problem, it is all about how to open the document. If you use the import-assistant you will have no problems because there are options available how to handle the different columns.
Another solution might be to get familiar with ABAP2XLS-Project. I got in my mind, that there is a method implemented, that will help you solving this problem. But that is not a five minute job

  • Airport Express via WiFi Won't Display Other (wired) Devices

I'm new here, but I did my best to peruse the board before posting this question! Unfortunately, I didn't see a resolution, so I'm hoping one of you might have some suggestions.
Right now, my office has a wired router. One of the ethernet connections is to an (older) Airport Express. We have no problem connecting any MBPs via WiFi, however none of the networked PCs - connected via Ethernet to the router - or networked printers are appearing for the MBPs. The two MBPs display for each other, though, and the networked PCs show up to each other, as well.
What can I do to make the PCs available to the WiFi-connected MBPs? Thanks so much

Check to make sure that the AirPort Express is configured to operate in Bridge Mode, so that it will be on the same subnet as the router.
If you make any changes to the Express, you will need to power off both the network router and the Express, restart the network router first, and then the AirPort Express.

  • How do I send music from my computers iTunes to my iPhone 4 via wifi?

I was able to send music via wifi to my iPhone 4 but now I can't.  Sync over wifi is checked when I directly plug my iPhone into the computer. But once I unplug it my iTunes can't find my iPhone when I connect to wifi.  And both my computer and iPhone are on the same wifi.

You don't send it back to the cloud since it never left the cloud.
You can delete indovidual songs from the iPod, or if all music is available in your iTunes library on your computer, you can remove the music from your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

  • Can't send or recieve text messages via WiFi

I have a Galaxy S4 and live in a black hole; little or no cell service. If I go outside I might get one bar.  This is not my issue though, as I'm used to this and have a land line.  However, I would like to be able to send and received text messages via WiFi on my phone.  But I get a message that there is no service available, even though I have WiFi enabled and have a good WiFi signal.  How can I get my phone to use WiFi for sending and receiving text messages at home?

Text messages go through the voice cellular network not wifi.
You might want to check out a third party messaging app that uses data either cellular or wifi to send messages.

  • IPhone receives email but cannot reply or send via wifi

iPhone receives email but cannot send via wifi.
    Get the following message:
    "Cannot Send Mail
The connection to the outgoing server "......" failed.

I was facing similar problems. I could easily send email from all of my accounts at work, because we have our own mail server, and I could make sure I had the correct settings. However, at home I had to use edge. Sending mail over WiFi was a no-go. Your idea to use the gmail smtp server was the perfect answer. Now my email is sending no matter what network I am on. Thanks.

  • My Samsung Galaxy s5 does not receive or send mms texts, photos or group messages via wifi.

We turned off our data and found that I cannot get mms or photo texts via wifi on my Samsung s5 active. The sales reps at the store told me it had all capabilities of an IPhone. Two AT&T technical support phone agents did not know about this limitation. After a 20 minute conversation, the AT&T reps said Samsung just overlooked this feature and will not offer it on this device. Samsung said AT&T will not allow this capability for this device on their network, but they had no written specs regarding this technicality to send me. This is a $689 Phone and I would have never bought it had I know that AT&T limited its capability. Does anyone know of an app or workaround?

Simple answer is that you can merge text messaging with Google Hangouts on the device.  This will allow you to send text messages from the GS5 without the need of the cellular network.  If would like to look into this and get back to me with any specifics feel free to ask. Here is a youtube video that shows you step by step how to get this done:https://youtu.be/v8YwXcw-YD4 Good luck and again just ask if you run into any issues

  • Photos not sending through iMessage when on WiFi?

Searched for an answer for this but so far no luck - sorry if this has already been solved elsewhere.
I have an iPhone 4S running iOS6 (although I was having this issue pre-iOS6). My iPhone sends iMessages, so long as they are text, fine, delivers read receipts, everything fine when I'm on WiFi. It used to send photos on all the WiFi connections I typically use (home, campus, favorite coffee shop, etc.) but about a week prior to iOS 6 it decided it would no longer send photos via iMessage. When I want to send a photo I have to turn off my wireless, and send the photo on data. Then I turn wireless right back on and resume sending texts via iMessage. I have no issues with other WiFi functions - web browsing, etc. is unaffected.
SMS and MMS are on. My iMessaging is directly linked to my phone number, not my Apple ID, if that makes a difference?
Hoping someone can help with this, especially since it appears its not my wireless signal thats the problem as my iPhone has decided to do this over multiple different wireless signals it used to not have an issue with..

No, my AppleID is only linked to my iPhone and my MacBook Pro (which does not have messages installed).
I am on the Telus network.
I'm really really disappointed in apple. Why would I shell out cash for an iPhone 5 when the operating system doesn't work properly on my current phone? In addition to this iMessage issue other issues I'm facing include abbreviated texts (ie typing "brb" and having my phone correct it to "be right back") don't work anymore, despite me checking to make sure they hadn't been erased during updates; and now today my iPhone decided to do this great trick where it SAYS its connected to my wifi, displays the blue check mark, but remains connected to 3G in the upper status bar. Turning wifi off and on as well as restarting the phone does not fix this.
Come on apple. You've basically secured the fact that this will be my last apple purchase. Funny that my friends with androids and windows phones never have any problems, isn't it?
