Hello all!!
Please, could you tell me if i can send a e-mail message from mobile phone, using JavaME.
Could I use Java Mail API on my mobile phone?
Does Java ME support Java Mail API or what can I do to use it?
If its impossible, how can I send a e-mail message from mob?

JavaMail requires TCP and an email server.
And it requires memory for the class files.
So whether you can use it on your phone depends on both of the above.

Can't send OVI IMAP e-mails from mobile phone or o...

Since a few weeks, I can't send OVI e-mails (IMAP) from my Nokia mobile phone, or Outlook express. Receiving e-mails works fine. So, I can only work using the webmail interface.
- Settings I am using on Outlook express:
Incoming email:
User name: [email protected]
Password: *****
Incoming mail server: imap.mail.ovi.com
Mailbox type: IMAP 4
Security (ports) SSL/TLS
Port: Default
Outgoing email:
My email address: [email protected]

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
We would advise you try the following SMTP server on your Outlook Express:
ovi.smtp.mail.yahoo.com, SSL port 465
When entering your username, please be sure to include your complete @ovi.com email address (For example [email protected]).
You did not mention your phone model in your message. So, try to reset your phone to factory settings by following the instructions in your phone's user guide. This will clear all settings and mailboxes on your device, after that just set up your OVI mailbox again by following these instructions.

My @me emails don't push and I can't send @me mails from the phone

Hi all, for the at least the fourth time since I've had it my 3G iphone has stopped receiving push mobile me emails.
I also can't send emails out from the @me address on the phone (although I can do perfectly from my MBP)
Is this a common problem? is ther any fool proof way of fixing it? Are there any settings I should double check?
The account was set up by my mac when I first synced it to the phone, I have reset all the mail account settings using the tick box in itunes.
Any help appreciated!

Sending has never been a problem with my MM account, which is a former .Mac account that I accessed with my first generation iPhone for over a year and for the last 6 months with my iPhone 3G. I prefer not accessing my MM account via push for email - automatically fetching every 30 minutes is fine with me as there is never any email sent to me so important that I need to be notified and the message delivered as soon as the message is recieved at the incoming mail server, so I can't comment on push access not working properly.
I suggest deleting and manually recreating the account with the iPhone's mail client - disable including the account settings being transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process followed by deleting and manually re-creating the account with the iPhone's mail client.

I bought an I phone this week and cannot send e-mail. I have talked to Verizon, Roadrunner and Apple. I don't know what to do next. They all tell me to call the other one

In addition, if your iPhone is able to receive emails from your Roadrunner email account but cannot send email, please mirror the incoming server information on the outgoing server information field. Also, ensure Authentication is checked but SSL is not.

Error message when sending an e-mail from my phone

Recently, I have been un able to send e-mails from my phone. When I try to send them, almost immediately I get an e-mail from
"RIM_bca28a-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2"
The contents of the e-mail say:
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.
There is a .DAT attachment as well.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

You need a separate email address but you've already ruled out that solution.

When I send a mail from my iPhone, it displays the mail server name to the receiver if the mail and does nog display my name or e mail address. This only since upgrading my iPhone5 to iOS7

SMS API(WMA) is an optional package. It is not a MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0 api's.
There are phones which has WMA api with MIDP1.0 support .... Nokia 3650
Seimens has some phone with their own api's to send sms.Check out seimens site for more info
BTW, What do you mean buy sending SMS to Server????
If you want to send message to server you can do it with Http.

I have Android on Verizon with mobile Skype ver 1.6
While I can call or send an IM message to another cell phone, is there a way to send an SMS from my phone to another phone using Skype -- just like on the desktop interface?

I'm in the same boat, except that I don't have a smartphone yet - but I'm already outlining the changes to my soho-network.
I guess you have to secure the mailserver (using SSL + TLS looks ok to me) and also secure the server as a whole: configure iptables to lock it down completely, except for as little ports as necessary: IMAPS and SMTPS, maybe even on an other-than-default port...
Maybe you are also interested in syncing your calendar: I will be doing that with davical on my server (running for 2 years now) and acal on my Android smartphone: no syncing, but native caldav between server and smartphone...
The other option would be to install openvpn on your server and always work via your VPN.

i need to send Class 2 SMS (data coding scheme, dcs class 2) from mobile phone to another. But due to WMA 1.1 Spec all SMS must be class 1. So, is it impossible to send class-2 SMS from mobile phone??!
The platform is nokia s40. Any suggestions?

Take a picture with the camera. As you view the picture preview, sSelect the icon that looks like an envelope. Select the method you want to use to send (Email, MMS, or BB Messanger). Compose your message and send.
If you took the picture some time ago, go to the Media icon and select My Pictures. Highlight or select the picture you want to send. Display the menu and choose Send As Email/MMS/Messanger. Compose your message and send.
