Send Email to User on provisioning /De-provisioning from TFS

Hi,
I require to create an application which will trigger an email to end-user after provisioning /De-provisioning him/her in Team Foundation Server.
I am new to TFS, can someone help me to get started on this.

Sending email to user using the notification template in OIM 11g

Hi all
I have created a Notification Template using web console in OIM 11g.
Iam able to access the contents from notification template in my java code.
But iam not able to find the correct api's to send email to user using the notification template
(like tcEmailNotificationUtil using this class we can connect to email template created in design console and creating IT resourse we can send email to user using the method sendEmail).

But i have the same doubt here.
"The Notification Event is defined through a XML file that must be loaded into MDS database." - in which path and in what name it should be.
Because under /metadata/iam-features-notification, i couldnt see any event Xml present. I thought atleast we could see the existing OOB notification template's event xml files.
Please let me know if you are aware.

Use of CL_BCS to send email in user exit

Hi,
I need some help from experts in this forum.
I use CL_BCS to send email if a certain condition is met inside a customer exit.
This exit is called before a confirmation dialog pop up asking whether we want to save or cancel.
I did not put commit work statement in this exit since it will commit all database update even though the transaction can still be canceled. Email will also be sent if the transaction is save. Hence, I'm relying on commit statement that come from the transaction itself.
However, this logic has create one problem for me.
If user hit cancel in the confirmation dialog that pop up after the exit is called, no commit will be executed. Hence, no email will be sent.
The problem is when the user change the data and re-save the data, there will be 2 email sent. One email come from the save action from the user and the other come from previous email that was not sent before due to no commit statement executed.
Is there any way to prevent this to happen? Please help.

Create a custom function moudle , with you CL_BCS class codes and with comitt work inside and call the function in your userexit like

Help needed! How to send Email if user created in a specific organization

Hello experts.
I have edited the Create User workflow to include the Email notiifcation. I follow the example in the manual under Example workflow customization.
What I have discovered is that it will send email no matter which Organization a user is created in. e.g. Top or Top:MyOrg or Top:Disabled
I only want Email sent if user is created in Top:MyOrg
What data is available during the workflow?
Currently the transition to Email User in the Notify activity doesnt have a condition... it will always branch to Email User.
What I want is a conditional branch only doing the Email User if the organization=Top:MyOrg
What does this condition look like?
I guess I also need to include a branch to end in the Notify if necessary.
I am new to customizing workflow but this is urgent request.

Can't send email on users in some new country Internet domains

I have following messaging server:

Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2-3.04 (built Jul 15 2005)
libimta.so 6.2-3.04 (built 01:43:03, Jul 15 2005)
Last few says I have noticed that I can't send emails on some of international country Internet domains like [email protected] or [email protected] which are relatively new internet domains registered in year 2006.
I am receiving following message:
Server Response: '550 5.1.2 unknown host or domain: [email protected]
After some investigation I find out that I can't send emails also on domain [email protected] which is also domain registered after year 2006.
Obviously I have problem because this internet domains are new and messaging server can't recognize any new internet domain after 2005.
DNS server is working fine I can make domain lookup and probably I have to add this domains somewhere in the LDAP or in some config file.
Problem is that I don't know where I have to add them.

The Sun Messaging server only accepts messages for known top level domains. The list of known top-level domains is defined in the file "......./config/internet.rules"
The lists is updated via Sun Messaging server patches.

Error in sending email to users(outside sap)

Hello experts,
We just transported my program to QAS server and I just tested it now if my program to send messages to emails outside works. Unfortunately, it doesn't. I am using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 and the sy-subrc = 2 whcih means document not sent. Also, there is window that popped up that says
Database error for <ADDR_PERS_COMP_COMM_GET> <0>

Send email to user after submitting form

hi all. so, i made a visitor registration page using PHP and
everything works, but i'd like to send an email to visitors after
they submit the registration form. the only post i could find here
with the same question is
here. but the answer involves using
a form handler, and i don't think my form is using a handler,
because i did it with PHP and server behaviors. of course, this is
my first PHP page, and i'm not all that experienced with forms
either, so i don't entirely know what i'm talking about.
so, does anyone know how to do this using PHP and server
behaviors? seems like it should be easy enough, but nothing i've
tried works!

Send Email with Contents of List Item (not from workflow)

End users have requested the capability to email a single list item, with all its data (by which they mean the data they see in their view), to an address to be entered on the fly. In other words, they want an option in the ECB or ribbon where
they would fill in a box with an email address (not necessarily a SharePoint user) and the contents of the selected list item would be sent out by the portals email, which is already configured.
My searching has found similar solutions involving workflows, but nothing in the way of an 'on-demand' type of process. If this is something that needs to be developed, I am not afraid to jump in, but am hoping there might be something I can leverage already
in place.
I would appreciate any ideas on this.

Hi Echo Train,
I would still look at using a Workflow for this. Easiest option to setup and maintain, and
you can still enter an email (or multiple emails) on demand.
For the List Workflow click on Initiation Parameters and add one with
Field name of Email for example.
Description (something like): "Please enter the email(s) you wish to send the list item information. Separate each email with a semi colon ;"
Information type: Single line of text
Default value: leave it blank
Next add a Send an Email action with the following settings:
To: Select from existing Users and Groups > Workflow Lookup for a User...

> Field from source: Parameter: Email
> Return field as: As String
Then setup your Subject and Body using the Fields from the Current List Item
Save the Workflow then go back into the Workflow settings and ensure that: Allow this workflow to be manually started is the only option selected.
Publish the workflow and your users should now be able to click on the Workflow with the ability to enter one or more emails.
There are other options apart from using a Workflow such as setting up an Action with some ECMA script, but much more difficult to create and maintain, which in this instance I would still opt for the Workflow solution.

Send Email when user account is created

Hi,
I have a GTC which is run as a scheduled task to create a user in OIM. I want to send am email to the user once the new account is created from the scheduled task, the email needs to contain the user account and password. For developing such a process should the email definition be of Type Provisioned( so that I map it to Scheduled task) or do I need to make it as a General type. Can some one please explain this process in detail

Hi, I followed the following process for sending an email when the Scheduled task is completed :
a. Create a Resource Object RO1 and a Provisioning Process definition for RO1.
Add a task say, Email, to process definition.
b. Open the email task and click the Notifications tab.
c. Click Assign to bring up the list of Email Definitions.
d. Select the Email Definition defined in step 2 above and assign it to the task.
e. Check for - Requester, User and User Manager and map the status to 'C'.
f. In the RESPONSE tab, Set the response as 'C' and set Status field as complete.
g. In the TASK TO OBJECT STATUS MAPPING, make the object status to provisioned.
h. In the Integration tab, add System adapter 'tcCompleteTask' and save.
But even after this the email does not go to the user whose account has been created. Kindly advice
