Send email with Oracle

I'm sending email in Oracle 11g with apex_mail.send function. I have below html structure. I have added style for table in this html. but when i open received email, style is not applied to the table. only text is visible.
How can i solve this ?
<html>
   <head>
   <style>table{border-collapse:collapse;}table,td,th{border:1px solid grey;}td,th{padding:5px;}</style>
   </head>
   <body>
   <table width="100%">
   <tr>
   <th scope="col">Company</th>
   <th scope="col">Amount</th>
   <th scope="col">Reference</th>
   <th scope="col">Note</th>
   </tr>
   <tr>
   <td>HNB</td>
   <td>226</td>
   <td>..952</td>
   <td>Insurance payment.</td>
   </tr>
   <tr>
   <td>AC</td>
   <td>2150</td>
   <td>..255</td>
   <td>A/C service.</td>
   </tr>
   </table>
   </body>
</html>

Hello,
Which e-mail client you are using to open e-mail?
If it's MS Outlook 2007 or later, then MS Outlook uses MS Word rendering engine to render HTML. So try to save your HTML into some local file and open it using MS Word. Then you will understand how it;s rendering. Make changes whatever you want using MS word and then use generated HTML to send in e-mail.
If it's MS Outlook 2003 or earlier, then MS Outlook uses IE to render, then you have to repeat above step from IE.
If it's some-other client, please refer their documentation on how they render HTML.

  • Sending email from Oracle Forms with attachments

    Hi,
    Is there any package or option available in Oracle forms to send email with attachments?
    Your reply will be highly appreciated.
    Regds,
    noneda

    There are a couple of ways to send email (with attachements) from Oracle Forms. Check out these links to some examples.
    using OLE2 or CLIENT_OLE2 to access a mail-client via Mail-Api ( Get and set Outlook properties )
    using MAILTO in conjunction with HOST or CLIENT_HOST to "start" a mail-client ( Re: Open Microsoft Outlook new massage with TO containing the email address )
    using UTL_SMTP for database-side-mailing ( Re: Send mail with attachment )
    Hope this helps,

    The easiest is to send an e-mail with multiple attachments to yourself and then view the message in raw to see how it is formatted - how the boundaries work. what the boundary headers are, etc.
    Then you use that as a template for your PL/SQL code to generate a MIME body for an e-mail that has multiple attachments.
    To debug.. have your PL/SQL code send sample e-mails with multiple attachment to your account, view it in raw format and compare that to the original format you've based your template on.
    And none of this is really a PL/SQL issue.. it is all about formatting a valid MIME message for an e-mail.

  • Can I use DeliveryManager just to send email with no document?

    Can I use "oracle.apps.xdo.delivery.DeliveryManager" to just send email without any document attached? or
    Is this only used to deliver the documents by email?
    I just want to use DeliveryManager just to send email with content in the body of the email. I am using BI Publisher API.
    Can any of you provide sample input for the above?

    Hi,
    You can use iMovie to record the message and save it as an email sized item and send the file as email like before.
    For those iChat AV users without a Cam and the AIM users without a cam you can do One-Way Viedo chats.
    Once you have a recorded Video file you can also drop the file on any Buddies name in you iChat Buddy list rather than using email.
    For those using other services you can set up a Jabber account and enable the required Transport/Gateways and send the files that way.
    http://www.jabber.org.au/ichat = Australian Page
    AllForces
    These are the two main information pages on how iChat can connect to the other IM services.
    Jabber Public Server list
    That would appear to be everybody.

  • Send email from oracle

    Dear member & developers
    I want to send e mail from oracle application. If anybody knows, how to do this. please write or send a sample application or forms or database sql. I don't restricted to any application version like 10g or 11g same as database...
    I seriously need it.
    Thanks in Advanced.

    As Francois indicated - there are multiple examples around the internet and in the forums. Any email solution you choose is going to require that you have access to a valid email server (SMTP, POP3, etc). Also, the solution is dependent on "Where" you want to send the email from. I prefer a database solution because this makes it available to your entire database application, but you can use a Java email method (using Forms PJC or Java Bean) or you can OLE link to Microsoft Outlook.
    Take a look at Send Email from the Database. I wrote this package based on the DEMO_MAIL package provided by Oracle (via OTN) and stream line things a bit. There is an example of how to use the package in the article.
    Take a look at Send email with HTML body and local file attachements article on Franscois's web site for an example of sending email from an Oracle Form using Java.
    If you need to use Outlook - search the forum. I don't consider this to be a reasonable method so I don't use it or recommend it. I'm sure it works fine for others, I just think being dependent on a application installed on the client is not a solid solution. That's just my opinion. ;-)
    I search through out the net. Didn't get any tutorial video or any working materiel. I disagree with this statement - I did a quick Google search and found many examples (no videos) and demo's.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • Send email with basic authentication in OSB

    Hi there,
    I'm trying to do a simple thing, that is to send an email through an exchange smtp server with basic authentication.
    I've created the SMTP Server like it is said in all the tutorials I've seen and inserted the correct authentication credentials.
    But when I make a request it gives me a EOF error, I've looked in the logs and the problem is related to the user not being authenticated in the smtp server.
    The problem is that, after several attempts, I inserted a sniffer in the network to see what was the osb sending to the SMTP server and I had the following result:
    EHLO xxxxxxxx
    MAIL FROM:<[email protected]>
    RSET
    the result of the execution on the smtp server is the following
    220 xxxxxxxxx Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Thu, 23 Sep 2010 16:08:47 +0100
    250-xxxxxxxxx Hello [xxx.xx.x.xx]

    Can anyone recommend me a good Tutorial for sending emails with authentication in OSB?
    Or can anyone say what the problem is?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,

  • Procedure for Sending Emails with Attachments

    Hi All,
    Q1. We wish to write a PROCEDURE that sends emails with attachments in SQL. Can someone please suggest the procedure code for the same?
    Q2. Apart from DBMS_JOB utlity can any other this procedure be scheduled to send automatic emails picking up files from a remote filer randomly.
    Regards,
    Chinmay

    http://www.lv2000.com/articles/utlsmtp.htm
    I do not understand what the article is trying to say when it says this:
    <quote>
    1. You cannot send a Subject line with your email.
    2. You cannot add attachments to your message.
    Hopefully, these two deficiencies will be rectified in future releases!
    </quote>
    The entire email sending code with attachments is freely available from Oracle (sitting on top of utl_smtp package). No need to buy additional software.

    One option is to convert the report to XML Publisher (which you might have already done as you are asking PDF/XLS), then look into the links below:

  • TS3899 Cannot send email with new iPad air.  Works fine with old iPad and iPhone.

    Cannot send email with new iPad air.  Works fine with old iPad and iPhone.  I have deleted account and reinstalled.

    Thanks.  I got the problem fixed.  Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor.  It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner.  Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail.  I checked all the specifics between the three units.  It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com  to TWC.com.  Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

  • How do I use my iPhone's hot spot to send email with Mail ?

    Hi,
    My land line is dead ... so no phone nor internet at home.  But I can use my iPhone'hot spot to get on the web from my iMac.  Great ... it works !
    Oups !   I cannot send email from my computer using my iPhone's hot spot with Mail.
    How do I do that ?
    Regards.
    Robert Lespérance

    Hi Templeton Peck,
    Thanks for droping in my thread ...
    Doesn't the fact that I can surf the web with my iPhone's hot spot and that I cannot use Mail normally has I normally do give you a clue what the problem could be ?
    What other information can I give you other than normally I can surf and send email with my regular ISP.  Now that my ISP is dead I am using my iPhone's hotspot to surf the web awaiting that my ISP's connoection returns. Surfing is OK but I cannot send emails with through Mail.
    When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server.  Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
    Is there any other configuration to do ?
