Send External Mail Through One Exchange Server Only

Hello,
I'm very stuck on something & new to exchange. I have two Exchange Servers:
MAIL1: Windows Server 2003 & Exchange 2007 SP2
MAIL2: Windows Server 2008 R2 & Exchange 2007 SP3
All accounts are going to move eventually to MAIL2. Until then, I would like any external emails sent, to be sent through MAIL1.
So far all all internal mail can be sent & received, and any external mail received. But I cannot send external mail from mailboxes on MAIL2 (just mine on MAIL2 at the minute). MAIL1 works fine for everything.
Can someone kindly explain what I should do to get all external mail sent through MAIL1?

Hi Stacy,
We can just remove mail2 server from the mail2's send connector and add mail1 server to it.
Then we can send mails to outside via mail1.

Based on my knowledge, we can use the following transport rule to make that except with one user, other users cannot send outbound external emails:
And I’m afraid that there is no Exchange feature to make one specific HUB server rout all external emails.
Because if a Send connector is configured to send messages to an external domain, any Hub Transport server in the organization will route a message for that domain to a source server for that connector to be relayed to the destination domain.

Can LabVIEW send an email through Microsoft Exchange server without an account set up in Outlook?

I've found sample code that shows how to send email through Outlook using LabVIEW. On any computer I log into on our network, my profile loads and I have access to the exchange server through Outlook so the code works.
However, I am developing a program that will run on a lab computer with a generic PC login that is shared among everyone in the lab. Exchange server/outlook is not set up for the generic user.
Is it possible to have labVIEW send an email through the exchange server with a server name, username, and password coded into the executable?

You would need to send a standard SMTP message via Exchange. The Exchange server will likely require authentication, so you won't be able to use the built-in SMTP VIs, as they do not support authentication. If you're on Windows you can use .NET (see this example), or use the OpenG SMTP VIs.

The JavaMailTM 1.3 API provides a set of abstract classes that model a mail system. The API provides a platform independent and protocol independent framework to build Java technology-based mail and messaging applications. IPhone sending e-mail through OS X Server

I'm running OS X Server 10.6.4 on an xServe. iPhones are having issues sending SMTP e-mail when they're connected to AT&T's cellular network. When I connect an iPhone to a Wi-Fi network it is able to send e-mail with no problems. Here is what appears in the Mail logs on the server.

Sorry, my answer is a little bit late. However, as far as I understand:
1. you want to e-mail a message to a FAX device and have it printed there, and
2. you want to achive this functionality on a Lotus Notes/Domino server, and
3. you want to mail your message using SMTP, and
4. the receipient address should look something like [email protected]
I'm not aware of any 100% pure Java FAX solution doing this. Any solution I've seend so far needs some kind of FAX gateway (e.g. Wingate etc) to convert the message and have it sent as a FAX thru a FAX modem.
If you are using Lotus Notes/Domino it can be done with a Domino based third party FAX gateway software (send a mail to [email protected] if you need more info on this).
This has nothing to do with Java in general, and as far as it concerns the server, the third party software is not platform independent. However, the software supports Domino servers on Windows NT/2000, Unix, Linux, AIX and Sun Solaris (OS/2 up to Notes 4.x only).

Trouble Sending & Receiving Mail Through Exchange Account from Lion Mail

Mid-2011 MacBook Air, 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5, OS X 10.7.2.
I'm having trouble sending and recieving mail through my Exchange Server Mail account under Lion 10.7.2 on my MacBook Air. The MBA is new with a factory install of Lion. On my MBP the server settings were as follows:
Internal & External Server: red001.mail.microsoftonline.com
When I allow Mail to configure the server settings based on my company eMail ID & Password it sets it up as follows:
Internal Server: 10.32.16.62
External Server: autodiscover-red001.mail.microsoftonline.com
Part of the time this seems to work ok but frequently Mail cannot seem to connect to the Exchange Server to send/recieve. The internet connection is fine and I can send/recieve from my iCloud mail account with no problems.
I recently "upgraded" from mobileMe to iCloud, I do not seem to have any of these issues on my iPad2 or iPhone4, both of which are running iOS5.
Anyone have any ideas?

This started happening with me a week ago. Don't know if it's connected to the latest update or not. I'm running 10.6.7. I HAD two accounts because of this problem. I completely removed the problem account from the Apple Mail client. Guess what is happening?? That's right - Mail is still sending from the other account that no longer exists on my computer, and I have absolutely no idea how this is happening. This is incredibly frustrating. When a recipient chooses to reply to my message, quite often I won't get it now because it is going to the other account that has now been deleted from my system. COME ON APPLE!!! After trying lots I found now in 'Airport Utility is 'unable to detect any airport wireless devises.....'
There is no provider to be seen in airport utility and only 'rescan' is an option with no results...
even so I am connected and can browse the net receive mail etc. and the outgoing 'mail server' is set to the internet provider I am connected to.
Can you enlighten me what can I do I need to use my e-mail program urgently !!!

I'm not sure what "IPS wireless" is, but unless you have an Apple Wi-Fi base station (such as a Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme, or AirPort Express), AirPort Utility won't see anything.
You might try defining a new SMTP server to see if that will work any better.
By the way, the subject field for these messages isn't intended to hold a lot of text. Put a short description of your problem in the subject field and save the rest of your message for the body field.

The outgoing mail server may be rejecting mail from your network address. Typically that happens when your mail service provider is also your ISP, and you connect to it from another network. The SMTP server will allow connections without a password from anywhere, but it will only relay mail from within the ISP's network. It could also be that your account on the server has expired or been suspended.
If you need to send mail from outside your ISP's network, use an independent mail service provider. I don't have a specific recommendation.

Look at Mail / Accounts, then choose the Account icon. See if the Outgoing server box is set to the correct entry for each of your accounts.

Sending Reports Through Microsoft Exchange Server

We are working in oracle applications 11i on solaris. In Oracle HRMS we have a customized report that generates pay slips for employees in PDF format.
Please note that currently we are not implementing the Oracle Self Service feature as our organization hierarchy is not built in the system.
So, We are studying the possibility of sending these reports by email to the staff through Microsoft Exchange Server.
Can someone guide me where to start and what do I need to accomplish this please....

Replacing original all in one exchange server 2010

Hello,
I currently have exchange 2010 all in one without an Edge Server. The HD is showing signs of failure so i want to move all these services to a new CAS Array and DAG. I know how to set up the DAGs but was confused about the HT and CAS roles. Currently
the all in one also has lync 2010 integration which i want to move to the new array. My question is how do i do all of this without interrupting the current setup until im ready to make the switch? Currently i have port forwarding to my exchange
server with 25 and 443 tcp ports pointing to it. I will be creating a new exchange certificate using my internal enterprise root CA to point to the new outlook.xxxxx.net. Currently my exchange cert is mail.xxxx.net with sub alternative of autodiscover.xxxx.net
and mail.xxxx.net. I dont want to mess with my current set up until im finished with this setup. i know my new cert should also have autodiscover.xxxx.net but would that mess with my current setup? Do i install the same cert on the other CAS array
member? I now i have to point to the new RPC but i will wait till the end for that. For lync integration, do i uninstall on the current all in one exchange server and install the components on both CAS array members? Do i install the HUB transport
role on both CAS Array members and point the natted ip to the CAS array(SSL 443) and (SMTP 25) virtual IP? I know this is a lot but if one of you can assist or point me to a guide i would really appreciate it.

sorry about that. All my issues have been resolved minus one thing. So im using Zen Load Balancer on my cas array which also is part of a dag. From time to time outlook pops up a certificate warning about trust. The message varies from
time to time by listing one of my exchange servers and then the other one the next time. All i do is hit yes to accept and it disappears and outlook works fine. My exchange certificate is from my internal CA and it only list autodiscover and my
mail.xxxxx.net that points to my cas array(external facing) virtual ip. I was told my certificate does not need to have my internal mail servers name only my external which is why i think i get the certificate warning. Can you verify or provide
some guidance?

If you can't get your mail to work on Snow Leopard after June 30, you might want to try one of these approaches
1. Configuring Mail in Snow Leopard
2. Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

Undeliverable mail by MS Exchange server

I'm the dark horse trying to use Mail on an Exchange server at work. I spent yesterday getting the connection together, and it's all working fine except for this one thing.
Everything I send bounces back to me as undeliverable with the following message:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: Re:test
Sent: 6/26/2007 9:34 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
  Legitimate internal email addy on 6/26/2007 9:34 AM
  The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

I rarely see this notification in Mail--it shows up in my Outlook Web Access inbox. The messages I'm sending (the ones that are supposedly undeliverable) do reach their addressees, but they go straight into the user's Exchange server's automatically created "SpamEmail" folder.
I feel like something of a hero having navigated the pitfalls involved in setting this up so far, so I don't want to give up. Also, my option is to use Entourage, which was drastically slowing my quad core Mac Pro every time it checked to "Now update" somesuch thing or another--which was always, no matter how I had the "schedules" scheduled. I don't want to go back. (And webmail is o.k. for remote access, but not for daily office work.)

Without seeing the full header of one of those messages, its nearly impossible to say what's wrong and even with the full header, its not an easy issue to diagnose without more info. Your best option is to report this problem to your Exchange server's administrator and ask him or her to look at the Exchange server's log files for any issues.
