Send filled form in PDF to the client in email

Hello
Is it possibble to send the online filled form in email attachment to the client in pdf format to print it to a paper?
Zoltan

This may be possible with a PDF form and JavaScript, but not 'out of the box' so to speak.  You may want to try our JavaScript forum to see if anyone has any ideas: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/acrobat_scripting

  • Send Adobe form as PDF via E-mail

    Hi,
I am doing one interacive adobe form where i need to send that filled form in PDF format via email.
I tried using below options but unfortunately its not working:
1.I used "Email Submit Button" but its sending attachment as XML which I dont want.
when reffred threads on this problem , they suggested to go to XML VIEW of this button and change SUBMIT FORMAT to "pdf" from "xml".... but in this case , that button is not working at all.
    2.I used below solution
Use a regular form button:   Place a regular form button on your form .  Look on the Object Window for the button.  On the Field tag, towards the bottom will be a set of "Control Type" radio buttons.  Select the "submit" option.  There should now be a "submit" tab in the Object window.  Switch to the tab and on the "Submit As" pulldown select PDF.  But this is also not working.
Your comments are helpful for me.

    Hi,
Get your form data in XML format from Interface. There are some standard classes available to convert the XML to PDF and sending mail.

  • Cannot send the approval form by PDF in the procurement scenario

    Dear Experts,
There is a problem with the PDF in the procurement scenario in Discovery System V3. I am using Japanese version of the DS.
I can send the sales order which is the adobe form in the portal (log in by proc_sales).
But when it comes to approving the procurement request (log in by proc_admin), when I click on the send button, an window pops up which says 2Cannot handle content type: text/html "
I googled and it says if my version of Adobe reader is correct.
I have installed Adobe Reader 7.0.9. (so is written in the business scenario script).
Any advice will be very much helpful.
    many thanks

  • Send fillable form as PDF file

    Hello,
I created a fillable PDF document using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for MAC and at the bottom of the form, I added a button to send the form.  This form is being filled out by employes using Adobe Acrobat Reader.  They must fill out the form and click on send to have the form sent out to the proper email address.
As "Button properties", I went into the ACTION tab and set it up the following way:
         SELECT TRIGGER:  Mouse Up
         SELECT ACTION:  Submit a form
In the SUBMIT A FORM properties, I set everything up this way:
ENTER URL FOR THIS LINK:  mailto:[email protected]
EXPORT FORMAT:  PDF The complete document
The problem I am having is when the form is filled out by the employes, they get an error message saying it cannot be sent.  I searched the web and found out that Acrobat Reader cannot send fillable PDF forms.  I tried changing the EXPORT FORMAT option to FDF, HTML or XFDF but none of them worked...
I'm sure there is a way to setup my form to send it (once filled out) using acrobat reader but I can find how to do that.  Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your time !

When a user opens the file in Acrobat Reader, they can fill it out and print it no problems.  However, if they wish to send it via email, this is not possible.  I looked on Google and found out that I must save the fillable PDF using "File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Adding Text In Documents" but this option doesn't seem to be available in the MAC version of Adobe Pro...
    I'm a bit lost now...

  • Why did you not explain how to return a filled form via pdf file?

Why is there no explanation on how to return form via pdf file?'

Unfortunately, because IRS forms are XFA forms, the flattenPages method that the tool Gilad mentioned won't work, and neither will Preflight or PDF Optimizer.
You can fill-in and save the form with Acrobat or Reader, open it in Preview, and select: File > Print > PDF > Save as PDF
or "Save as Adobe PDF" for that last step. You may have to fiddle with the scaling to get it right.

  • Why can't I fill out a PDF in Adobe Reader and email it with the saved information?

When I fill out a PDF in Adobe Reader and "Save As" to desktop the filled out information goes blank when I attach it to an email. Additionally, I can't save to word or excel except for online. What can I do to fix this?

Try using Adobe Reader XI (fully updated).
    Be well...

  • I used to be able to send document as a PDF or Word Document via email using the toolbar.

I used to be able to send Pages documents as a PDF or Word Document via email using the Pages toolbar (not the iWork feature).  Lately, it hasn't been working at all.  No email pops up; just nothing.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Any solutions?  I'm running Pages '09 version 4.1.

This Apple Express Helper is a dumb one.
File names with # and $ are perfectly treated by the share to Mail feature.
What is rejected is the slash (/) and it's perfectly normal.
Since the delivery of the first version of OS X, slash is an illegal character in file names.
Apple thought that it would be fair to build a piece of code taking care of such chars because they were valid ones in the older operating systems.
But they expected that users will drop these chars. Alas they didn't and users like you are continuing to play with matches.
At last, OS X 10.7 removed the extraneous code and now, hosanna, iWork refuse to export files whose name contain the infamous slash.

  • Editing and Filling Forms in PDF's

I looked around this discussions area and noticed one person saying that I can use Adobe Acrobat to edit PDF files. Will this also let me fill in forms? Here is my situation, I'm downloading several contracts in PDF format and it has blank spaces all over the place. Does Acrobat automatically know these are blanks to be filled out or do I have to go through and tell the application where I want text added?
Also, are there any free apps that will let me do this exact thing? Thanks.

The form boxes must be in the PDF document. If they are not, you can add them using the form tools in the full version of Acrobat. But the process is not automatic. You have to place them in the proper place.
Most image editing applications will allow you to put text boxes over an image file. This will work if you want to fill in those places yourself, but will not make a file that others can fill in.

  • PAGES: Sending an exported .pdf in the body of email and NOT as attachment

Hello to all you MAC geniuses out there. I am using Pages to design flyers for my business. Then exporting them to a pdf file and trying to figure out how to send them in the BODY of an email and not an attachemnt that they have to open. Not really sure if this is a mail or pages question. It is probably a very simple step I am missing, but never the less can't seem to fiugre it out. Thanks in advance!
    Genn

Ok, so what do I do then? My Question is this. I am using Pages to create email flyers for my business. I have been Exporting them into a PDF File, but they as you say, send as attachements. I need to know how to send them in an email, as an email and not as an attachement.
What do I do to save and send them differently. I know it can be done since I get craploads of Junk mail everyday that look like that. Please help, I have a deadline to meet approaching very soon. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saving an interactive PDF at the client

I have the LiveCycle Designer and have created an interactive form. I want some of my staff to be able to save the document on their computer, but they only have reader. Apparently this can be accomplished with the reader extensions, is this  part of x pro, or do I have to purchase it. Also there is another option to make the PDF Reader Enabled. I have looked in acrobet for the advanced tab and can't seem to find where to do this. Could someone please advise as to what I need to do and where I need to go to get this done. Itn is most frustrating. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Paul,  could you please let me know how I would go about doing this in acrobat Pro.

  • Firefox freezes during various operations (scrolling, filling form fields, clicking through the options menu, etc.)

Almost any activity in Firefox is subject to brief freezing. The freeze lasts anywhere from (approx.) 1/2 second to 3 seconds. I searched online and I came across an article stating the freezes may be due to Anti-Virus software. The work-around presented was to set browser.sessionstore.enabled to false. The idea is Firefox does not attempt to write to a file, and so my AV software doesn't waste time checking if the access is valid. The change had some positive effect. The freezes now occur less often.
However, the freezes still occur every few seconds, still to the point of major annoyance. So what I did was run Process Monitor while Firefox was running to see if the freezes coincided with file accesses. Indeed they do.
I would like to know if I can change a setting which will cause Firefox to not access these files (or files like these) so often:
    firefox.exe QueryOpen C:\WINDOWS\system32\msimtf.dll
    firefox.exe ReadFile C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\k33hi6th.default\Cache\_CACHE_001_
    firefox.exe LockFile C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\k33hi6th.default\content-prefs.sqlite
    firefox.exe QueryOpen C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\k33hi6th.default\Cache\5ACD1B8Ed01
    firefox.exe WriteFile C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\k33hi6th.default\cookies.sqlite-journal
There are hundreds of such accesses over just tens of seconds. These files are accessed while I'm e.g. scrolling down the page. I could understand if they were accessed while loading or drawing the page, but again this is occurring while I'm merely scrolling down the page and typing in this very text box!
