Send form to parellel users
I have a form that I want to route to a user and at the same time route it to a group for review. The user will make a decision on the form to accept or reject but the group will only receive the form to review and that's it (it's more for notification of the form than anything else).
Any thoughts?

The problem with the gateway (and with a group) is that it's only one person within the group that actually gets to claim the form and view/action it.
I suggest that what you do is something like:
* Flatten the form (using LC Output) - this will make it non-editable and store it in a document variable. (If you don't have Output, just render the form as an editable PDF and store it in the document variable.)
* Obtain a list of the group's member's email addresses
* Use the Email component to send the flattened for to all members of the group.

Sending form via email - can't see user responses in returned PDF
I created a form in Form Central. I chose "save as PDF form" and saved it on my computer. I attached this form to an email and asked employees to fill out and send back to me as a pdf. When people email me back their filled in form, I can only see the responses when I click on each individual box. When I print the form, the responses do not print.
Would appreciate help since I distributed the forms to the company, and realized there was a problem as responses started to come in today (I only tested it on my computer and had no issues)
I would appreciate any help you can give. Especially:

How do I prevent this in the future?
Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue, without having to send out an updated form?
ChristineThe users filling out your PDF are not using Adobe Acrobat or the Free Adobe Reader to fill out your form - FormsCentral forms have to be filled out in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
Also, make sure that you are also using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to view those PDFs.
The way to resolve this is to instruct your users to use Adobe Reader to fill out the form.

I am using following code to send email from forms.
But i want to send email to multiple users like atleast 10 users
It i sworking for one user.

Reports9i is better than Reports6i as far as sending emails is concerned. Reports9i allows you to send Reports in different formats as email attachements (PDF v3 is only one option). You can set subject, cc, bcc and some body text the way you want it. The Reports server only needs the address of a SMTP Server and you are ready to go. In Reports6i this is a bit more limited as you are not able to provide your own subject and body texts.
I know that you can do this with PL/SQL from teh databae, but never tried it before.
There is another option, which is to use a Java Bean in Forms for email. Thsi only works on the Web and a demo is included in teh Forms9i demos that can be downloaded from OTN. Though the demo is written for Forms9i it should work with Forms6i as well (not the Forms demo files because they are created in Forms9i).

I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty.

What script do I need to additionally restrict both printing and saving if the required fields are empty?
You would think that just setting that option would restrict those functions the same as it does for the email button.
Please be specific with your response if you are gracious enough to offer one. I have been searching the forum all morning for the answer to this and I really didn't understand any of the solutions offered to others enough to use those in my own form.

The next question I have is if there is a way to make individual signature fields mandatory if they are digital signatures?
In other words, I don't want the individual to be able to email the form to the next person if he/she hasn't applied their digital signature.Saving can always be done, even when mandatory fields are empty. This is by design. And that is correct. Suppose you have a big form and 2 people need to fill it out. How can you fill out a first part and then send it to the second person without saving.
Same for printing. Same for your signature fields.
What I would do, is to put a "watermark" on the form that you show on preSave and prePrint if the form is incomplete. Just a static text on your form. Then the user will see that they need to do more. Also, on preSave and prePrint, you can show a warning popup to tell the user about the missing fields. You can then still cancel their action if the user decides not to save/print anyway. -

Yes - by default all responsibilities are defined as roles in the Workflow directory. You just need to identify the role that corresponds to the responsibility (look at ORIG_SYSTEM and ORIG_SYSTEM_ID columns, IIRC) and then send the notification to the role.

How to create a form where one user cant modify information entered by another user.
First time using Acrobat. Very newbie on this. Company wants me to create forms. As an example, new hire form where HR sends form to one department, they write in information as to what the user needs, etc. Then they send form to another department and thent they add comments or whatever to the same form
What we want to accomplish is if the form is being sent from one person to another and each person adds information we want the infornation that was inputted locked so that other people cant edit it.
Is this possible? Thanks for any input.If they're using Acrobat there's no real way of doing that. If they're using Reader, though, you can set the fields as read-only. It's far from a secure solution, though.

Our MRP job runs around midnight, then we kick off another job about 4am which checks to see if any of the jobs in question have abended, if so, then it sends an email to the email addresses specify in the report variant. LiveCycle Designer 7 : Saving the PDF form for the users ?

When building a form, which will be filled by users, is there any way that the users can be offered the possibility to save their data within the PDF so that they can send the complete form by emails or through a other files exchange media (FTP, WEB, Flashdisk... )
Although having the possibility to sent only the XML data via email (which is great and we would like to keep this option) we fear that some of our users, which are filling the form, might not feel confident with this and might want to sent their completed form too ?

Eric BI was able to make this work for the first time yesterday. Assuming that you have Abobe Acrobat 8.0, once you have built the form...using adobe 8 go to the Advanced menu and select "Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader". The first time that I did this, and then attached the form to a user of reader - they were not able to save the completed form. So - I went to 'Forms' on the menu and selected "distribute form". Then the user of adobe was able to saved that form and changes that they made.
The distribute function wants you to email from there as a default. I had trouble because our default mail client is Novell. Still can't get that to work right. BUT - you can distribute the form and save it to your drive for distribution later. I then attached it to an email and sent it out to users.
Be sure to walk your end user through - using save as and saving it to their computer. My folks are used to NOT being able to do that so they still said they couldn't save the completed form.
Sorry if this explanation is very basic - but I am not at all a programmer! :) This is what worked for me. I spent hours on this site yesterday trying to work out the email piece and stumbled into this solution.

Is there anyway to send notification to all users of specific responsibility in 11i ?
I have a setup form for hierarchy level (e.g level 1 - 5) by which each level will be notified either by responsibility or user?
If its setup by responsibility, notification will be sent to all users under that responsibility.
Do i have to create role using WF_DIRECTORY.CreateAdHocRole and add all users for specific responsibility to the role?
Also if the responsibility setup changed, how to maintain the existing notification with the old resp.
eg. level 1 is set to resp X then later on set to resp Y.

Yes, you may use wf_directory.createadhocrole for this purpose too.
What do you mean when you say the responsibility has changed? It it is end-dated no notification should be sent to any of its members. It depends on the assignments of the role/user. if the assignment is used then the user will get it. If the assignment is end-dated then the user will not get the notification.
You can always use wf_local_synch.Propagate_user_role to change the assignment of a user/role. If you want to end-date it, you can use it. Or you can add another user to the role, etc.

We purchased a new iPad2 and registered it using a 'new' iCloud email/ID. We are unable to send email from the iPad and iPhone. The error is:>> Cannot send mail. The user name or password for iCloud is incorrect.
About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...

Send email from PA30 user exit
When I try to send an email from user exit in ZXPADU02 it never makes it to SOST. WIll always go to SBWP outbox if I set the flag but never gets sent to receiver address.
If I paste the following code into a report it works fine. Is there some other parameter for this FM or some additional process needed to send email from a user exit?

Unable to send email to the users from Project Server Workflow
Hello all,
I am facing issues in sending emails to the users from the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013.
I am trying to send emails to valid users in a Project server 2013 Workflow by Email action.
I have set up the SMTP server successfully, I have configured SMTP server successfully in IIS manager 6.0
I have configured the outgoing e-mail settings in Central Administration successfully,
I have configured the SMTP email settings for my web app in IIS manager as well.
I have configured and synced the User Profile App with the eMail addresses from Active Directory as well.
I have configured the Alerts and Reminders in Operational Policies of PWA settings as well.
I can send the emails to the users successfully through Powershell.
But when I am trying to Start a Task Process with a user in the workflow, the task process starts but it never sent an email notification. So I tested by using the Action Email, that also the user is unable to receive any email. But the Workflow is not giving
any error also. The email sending is successful, but the user is unable to receive it. The workflow succeeds to next phase without any errors.
So to cross verify I tried 'Alert Me' option on a list, but that also is not sending(or might be sending but the user is not receiving) the mail.
What else should I do to solve this issue.

I tried editing the PWA instance as you said, but that also didn't help :(
I even restarted the Project Server Service, but nothing is changed.
I tried creating a new workflow for a List and used send email there, but that also is not sending the mail :(
How do I check where the issue is from ? I mean, whether the workflow is sending the mail and the mail server is not receiving? or whether the workflow is not sending the mail itself? how do I check this? Is there any way to log these details?
Please help me regarding this issue, I am totally clueless how to proceed.
