Send from application ignores mail format

Hello,
Groupwise client 2012 SP 2 on SP2 PO running on Win XP prof SP3.
Settings in gw client under options - environment - layout:
standard layout on create is simple text.
This works as expected if I create a message in groupwise client.
But in Word 2k3 the click on file - send to... opens the gw mail create
dialog with html format options. Is this a bug?

  • Invalid Certificate Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because you have no certificates which can be used to send from your e-mail address.

    Hi,
    I have a problem when trying to sign emails with an X.509 certificate in Outlook 2010. I constantly get the error message. The certificate is Verified for the email address I'm sending from.
    "Invalid Certificate
    Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because you have no certificates which can be
    used to send from your e-mail address."I have no problem with signing documents in Word 2010 with the same certificate, only when trying to send email.Every check I can perform confirms that there's nothing wrong with the certificate. Yet, Outlook still says it is invalid.I have even tried installing a second X.509 for the same email address just to check. Outlook doesn't seem to like either certificate.I know this has been posted before, but I'm completely stuck here.Thanks,~Dan

    Hi,
    You may have checked the option "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" in Outlook, please uncheck this to test if the problem persists.
    File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> E-mail Security -> Clear the checkbox "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" -> OK.

  • Mail Icon is missing, and unable to open from Applications.  (Mail 3.6 is not supported is the error message)  I am on Lion OSX 10.7.3.

    I closed the mail folder when I did a software update.  This morning, the mail icon is missing, and am not able to open from applications, or find it anyware in the toolbar.    Error message says that Mail 3.6 is not supported by OSX Lion 10.7.3

    Xcode 4.x cannot be installed on Snow Leopard.  You need a 3.x.  So if that is what you used then yes, you need to install lion.   If connect.apple.com still alows registration or logins using an existing appleid then you could download the last xcode 3.2.6 for free.

  • E-mail sends from wrong e-mail address

    I'm having problems sending an e-mail from a specific e-mail account. I've bee using one account mainly, but I received an e-mail in another account. I hit reply, and typed in my response, hit send. However, the e-mail got sent by my main account (the one I also set to be my default account in the mail settings, however, I thought that was for times like sending a link from safari). So, I'm a bit confused, how do I choose which e-mail to send from, I thought you select the e-mail account and hit the button, but if I hit reply from one e-mail account, why did it send with the other?
    Alex
    Edit: If it matters, the the e-mail account that got the message I was responding was an att yahoo account, I heard people have had issues with push so I'm not sure if that's the problem, and my main e-mail is a gmail account. Though it did send, just from the wrong e-mail.
    Message was edited by: axxl

    Quick Update:
    When I send an e-mail from a different e-mail account (my other gmail account), it sends it from its own server. However, it still doesn't work with the att.net account. My yahoo account just doesn't send anything from anywhere, no traces.

  • How do I block unsolicited e-mail(s) from unsolicited senders? Why isn't there an auto option that simply pops up and asks if you wish to block this sender from future e-mails? I am so tired of my e-mail address being sucked out of a friends address book,

    How do I block unsolicited e-mails from the sites that have stolen my e-mail address from a friends address book, and send me non-stop horrid e-mails. Why is there no pop-up to ask if "want sender blocked", to easily solve this problem? Seems like it would be such an easy solution to what must be a universal problem with these e-mail pirates.

    It is frontiernet.com that would need to block the emails.
    You can setup a Mail "Rule" to send email you do not want into the trash, or a spam folder, etc...
    In fact, there is a Mail -> Message ->  Mark -> as Junk Mail, which will train Mail to reconize junk mail and start to automatically move it to a junk mail folder.
    You can put this option on the Mail toolbar via Mail -> View -> Customize Toolbar, and drag the "Junk" icon to your Mail Toolbar.
    But of course Junk takes training.  You can create a Rule to trash the emails you do not want right away via Mail -> Message -> Add Rule, or Mail -> Preferneces -> Rules

  • E-mail receipt not sending from selected e-mail in automatic replies (Paid Subscription)

    I volunteer for a non-profit.  We had to cancel an event and notify registrants.
    I went to look at the email account we set up under options for the "automatic replies." but could not find any corresponding confirmation messages.
    The correct e-mail is selected in FormsCentral.  When I did a test, the confirmation  was generated  from the "[email protected]" instead? Why is this?
    Thanks,  We're new at this and feel it's a great product, just need it to work correctly for our volunteers.

    HI
    This is kept in queue
    probable reason is the message you are trying to send have attachment more than the provided limit on the mail server.
    XML messages are mostly have higher size then text files etc.
    Ex - If the mail server allows 10 MB file your attachment seems more than that hence it is not able to process
    Thanks

  • Can Siri send from secondary e-mail account?

    I have two e-mail accounts. I haven't been able to figure out how to send an e-mail from my secondary account instead of from my default e-mail account.
    Does anybody know how to do this? Or if it just isn't a feature yet?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    I haven't discovered any new information. I suspect you can't yet change accounts. Hopefully in the future you'll be able to tell Siri to send an e-mail from "my personal account" or something like that.
    "Siri, my personal e-mail account is the one with [email protected] as the e-mail address"
    "Siri, send an e-mail from my personal account"

  • Send from other e-mail address in Mail

    I've some e-mailaddresses from domains (f.e. [email protected]) that do nothing more than forward to my private e-mailadress (f.e. [email protected]). Can I configure Mac Mail so that I can send e-mails with this forwarding-address (being [email protected]) in the FROM field as well as in the REPLY to field? How can I do that?

    You should be able to do this, except in rare cases where the SMTP of your private address is a factor.  What have you tried?  See:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/4.0/en/9973.html
    The in the  pull down beneath addresses you can choose.  You have to think about what you want in the Full Name entry alongside the alias.  Also, depending upon the way your SMTP works, look in the Long Headers to see if your private email is revealed somewhere.
    If those Domains addresses could receive email, then you could set up the account separately, and select to have it never check for New Mail, and only send with it.  That would be the best way.

  • Sending from and receiving mail to an alias

    I have tried to set up an email alias address for someone with a local POP account (not MobileMe). It was possible to send the mail from that alias address but it was impossible to receive mail to that alias address.
    Is that normal ? If not, what do I need to do ?

    Excellent!
    If a true alias, then AT will deliver the message directed to the alias to the existing POP3 server, and it will download along with other messages to the real address. Mail communicates with the server on the basis of the Username, and can pick messages to all addresses handled by that POP3/Username combo.

  • How do i change the sender / from address in mail? (MS Exchange)

    I have set up an MS exchange account in Mail. In OSX Snow Leopard I could change the from address. This is necessary because my account username address is not the main address I use (I work in a company's sub division). So my from is not correct generally, and it's also annoying because my own address pops up when I do a reply all.
    Any suggestions?

    You can fix this problem by adding an entry into a file on your mac. You have to add an alias, but manually so by editing this file below:
    I finally found a solution. You can edit this file where USERNAME = users acutal account on the mac:
    Close Mail.
    Go to:
    /Users/USERNAME/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/accounts.plist
    Under this:
                <key>EmailAddresses</key>
                <array>
                    <string>[email protected]</string>
                </array>
    Type:
                <key>EmailAliases</key>
                <array>
                    <dict>
                        <key>alias</key>
                        <string>[email protected]</string>
                        <key>name</key>
                        <string>Name 1</string>
                    </dict>
                </array>
    Save version of file.
    Open Mail.
    I hope this helps - it seemed to work for me.

  • Why does "Sender Name" randomly change from the actual sender to another sender from recently received mail?

    When the email is first received the "Sender Name" is correct. When opening Thunderbird later the "Sender Name" has been changed in a random fashion to another sender of recently received email.

    Maybe the indexing needs fixing.
    right click on foldre and select 'Properties'

    refresh folder pane / clickon another folder and then go back.

  • How to configure Mail to send from off-site

    I am trying to configure Mail on a laptop that will send and receive email both went it is connected to the servers ISP (on site) and when the laptop is connected to a non-site ISP. In other words when I am in the office I am connected to the ISP that is hosting my mail server. When I am out of the office and using an ISP that is not hosting the mail server. I have configured Mail such that I can send and receive email when I am onsite. When I am offsite I can receive email but not send it. In order to fix the problem I have tried configuring the SMTP to require password authentication using a couple of different server ports (i.e. 25, 110 & 587) but have been unable to send from off site. At this point I am at a loss as what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    If the off-site ISP doesn’t let you send no matter what port you use, there is little, if anything, you can do about it. Many ISPs, however, only block port 25 for all traffic outside their own network. Something that usually works in those cases is changing the outgoing server port to 587 instead of 25 in Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server > Server Settings, but the outgoing server in question must listen to that port for this change to work.
    If the off-site ISP allows sending on port 587, but the outgoing server you want to use doesn’t listen to that port, you may solve the problem by using an independent authenticated SMTP server that allows sending from any mail account no matter where you are.
    A Gmail account, for example, would allow you to do this. Instructions for setting up a Gmail account are provided here:
    http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13275
    After setting up the Gmail account in Mail and checking that it works, you can use Gmail's SMTP server to send from your other mail accounts as well:
    1. Log into your Gmail account on the web.
    2. Go to Settings > Accounts.
    3. Enable the addresses you want to be able to send from, and let Gmail validate them by verifying that you do indeed own them.
    4. For each mail account you want to send from using Gmail’s SMTP server, in Mail go to Preferences > Accounts, and choose Gmail’s SMTP server from the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) popup menu.
