SEND FROM works randomly

Outlook 2010
Two domains in different sites.
A domain user in SITE1 and DOMAIN1 has an mailbox on SITE2 DOMAIN2.
He is chosing to send from distribution group on SITE1 and DOMAIN1. Sending mail randomly works. Sometimes it goes thru other times the user needs to resend the message over and over again until it passes.
Error messages are sth like:
You can't send a message on
behalf of this user unless you have permission to do so. Please make sure
you're sending on behalf of the correct sender, or request the necessary
permission. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.
Do you maybe know where should we look for the root of the problem?

Yup. You do not need two separate OABs. You need to add extra locations where the *same* OAB can be downloaded. In 2010 the OAB is generated on a specific MBX server then the file replication service copies it out to the distribution endpoints
- CAS. And this list of CAS are the ones allocated to serve out the OAB. Details in here:

I do want to ask how you decommissioned 2003 - something is not right with this. What steps did you follow?
I see a note about "manually removing" 2003. Not surprised that you are hitting this as there is NO check to see what replicas and links were to those servers that get whacked out of AD. That is not something that should be done.

Attachements hidden if send from work in process

GW Server 2014.0.0
GW Client 8.0.3 (latest FTF)
one customer often uses the "work in process" folder to save mails for later editing and sending.
Many of them have an attachement.
If any mail (with attachement) from that folder is edited and then send it gets deleted and moved to the trash while another copy is created in the send folder.
Difference between these two mails is:
* In the send folder the attachements are not visible (customer in fact receives mail WITH attachements)
* trash folder shows mail with attachements
Has anyone an idea what could cause this behaviour or is it just a setting?
Anyway I will upgrade the client to GW 2014.0.1 an test it again. Just curious what goes wrong here...

My imessage sending from a random number
I have saw the question online, and no one ever resolves it. but it happen to me now. pls help.
I have already tried everything. nothing worked.
when i text people, NUMBER shows up in my imessage is a Random number. people will start to ask who is this when i use i message.
it is checked in my text setting. no matter what i do, it WON''T show my REAL number. it Only happen when i use imessage. Normal call or texting are all fine.
In my phone, it shows my normal number. nothing is wrong except imessage. I checked my sim card, this number now showing in my imessage, is part of number that print on my sim card. but NOT MY PHONE NUMBER.
There is NO solution I can find online. pls don't reply unless you have solved the exact same problem.
Don't let me try any turn off, on, restore, ##23865#, ect, IT WON'T Work.

My o2 email account does not work when sending from my MAC it will accept incoming mail but not send it gives me a message that o2 account (offline) my mac I have no problem with my iPhone or mac laptop. any suggestions please.

I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.

How can I fake my FROM email address to look like I'm sending it from work?
I want to not have to log into my work webmail everyday and I want to just use MobileMe. I have all my work mail forwarded to MobileMe. The problem is that I don't want to ever have to log into work mail to send a message. How can I fake my from email address to look like I'm sending it from work?
You can't do that with MobileMe. MobileMe's mail servers will only accept senders from their own domains (@mac.com and @me.com). No other senders, not even from configured personal domains, will be accepted.
You will either have to use your companies SMTP server or, if not public available, your companies webmail. -
Mail program sends from random accounts
i have 4 email accounts (gmail and aol) i manage with apple's mail program. Sometimes it randomly sends emails from the wrong email address (I do select the right address but it sometimes sends from the account I have not selected - it's random.
Is there seomthing I need to reset?I have the same problem, although I'd say it happens much more frequently than randomly. Practically everytime if I don't actually select it myself. I have 8 varieties of Microsoft and Google accounts. I haven't found a solution other than to paying more attention, but I'd like to know why it does it.

Had problem with my hotmail account and had to change my password. Ever since then, my default e-mail account set up to hotmail doesn't work...it sends from gmail. How can I correct that?
On your iPhone you need to change your password in 2 places:
- Incoming Mail Server and
- Outgoing Mail Server
To get to the password entry for the Outgoing Mail Server you have to tap on cell smtp.live.com and again on the second view. -

For this Function module to work Email configuration should be done for
external addresses..Please check with your Basis team for necessary config.

My icloud account on macmail is sending from my old (deleted!) work account that was on gmail. How do i stop this happening?
Delete the Gmail SMTP server, then pick the correct SMTP server for the account that you are using.
Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): expand the dropdown next to the label and delete the incorrect server, then pick the correct server and check the box that says "Use Only This Server" -
Mail sends from random accounts
I noticed that mail will send from anyone of the 7 accounts I have set up. I prefer it to only send from my me.com account. Is there a way I can configure this in preference?

To specify a default email account in Mac OS X Mail:
Go to Mail > Preferences
Go to the Composing category.
Select the desired account under 'Send new messages from:' (under Addressing:).
Close the Preferences window.
Also, Mac OS X Mail uses the topmost account in the Accounts list as the default for outgoing messages. You can change the order of the Accounts list using drag-and-drop. The individual account's folders under Inbox, for example, are also sorted in this order. -
USB Drivers and WiFi is Suddenly gets disconnected and stop from working (Happens Randomly)
Hello Everyone!
Sometimes, when I insert a flash drive on my HP laptop, or even if I just surf the web, My USB drives and WiFI driver suddenly disconnects(changing the white light to orange permanently unless I reboot). I can still see the wireless networks but I can't connect anymore.
Also, It stops all the USB drives from working and I can't even Eject those usb drives anymore.
Restarting the computer fixes the issue temporarily.
This are the troubleshooting steps I've already tried and didn't work:
1.) Testing all the Hardware installed using the HP Software(Pressing F2)
2.) Installing all the latest drivers by using Driver Pack Solution Software
3.) Installing all the latest Windows Update
4.) Removing the Wireless Ethernet driver and installing a new driver from the Intel website
5.) Trying to remove the driver in the Device Manager while the error present only causes Device Manager to crash. Rebooting the pc though then uninstalling it works but it does not fix the issue.

for sometime i have been using the emoticons seamlessly between my iphone and imac through imessage but now it seems to be kaput. it will send from my phone to the imac but from the imac to the phone is converting to symbols. what am i doing wrong?
Thank-you for the response RJTUK. I thought I was losing my mind. I thought that I would add for those that are following this post. I also noticed that the emoticons are showing up fine from iMac to MacBook. It seems the only loss in info is with the my iPhone [iphone 5 os 6.1]. So it definitely must be on the phones end? Hoping that someone will fix this shortly. I know it is silly but I really enjoy the personality that emoticons can add to a imessage.

How can I send from multiple email aliases & names?
Hi, I wish to achieve the same result as the OP at http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=112689 and by following the useful guides in that thread, am able to achieve what I want... sort of.
Basically, I have one POP account/mailbox, and only one.
However, I use 3 email aliases for different work purposes, e.g.:
Fred Blogs <[email protected]>
Dr F Blogs <[email protected]>
The Surgery <[email protected]>
Now, according to the advice, in Mail I can create one Mailbox, and under 'email address' in Mailbox Preferences, enter:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
This works fine as far as it goes, and I get a drop down when creating new mail, however, all 3 'aliases' come from the same person's 'Name' - the 1 name I entered in the mailbox preferences in Mail.
No, what I need to achieve is to be able to send email from the 3 different names as well as email addresses, not just 3 different email addresses all with the same name.
This was a doddle under Outlook, you just create 3 accounts with the same SMTP server, but set 2 of them not to receive email (otherwise you'd end up with 3 lots of each incoming email from that 1 shared mailbox).
Mail however is not having any of it, and won't let me create duplicate accounts. I have even tried adding the full name in the email address field of settings, separated by commas: Fred Blogs <[email protected]>, Dr F Blogs <[email protected]>, The Surgery <[email protected]>. That didn't work either.
How can I achieve what used to be quite a simple process on my PC? I can't be the only person who uses one unified mailbox account, but sends from different aliases?

Because I am using the same Incoming Mail Server and User Name as the 1st account, when I click Continue it reports:
/!\ The account "Account 1" already has this hostname and username.
It then won't let me continue. Now it sounds like you have the same setup, so do you have the same hostname and username in all your multiple accounts? :-S
The reason it does this is - I suspect - because even if you untick 'Include when automatically checking for new mail', when you manually check for new mail, you'd still get 3 lots of the same message. How do you get around this? -

I've setup multiple exchange accounts in Outlook 2010. I receive fine for both accounts, but cannot send from second account. Sent email goes to the Outbox and stays there.
I've tried going back to a second profile, and it works fine. Mail in Outbox from efforts above stay in Outbox. If I pull them up, I can resend with no issue.
I need to be able to send with multiple accounts in same profile to do other projects I'm currently working on. Any ideas???

I was able to fix this with Outlook 2010 Service Pack 1.
Another area that I had to change was the inbox for that other account I created a rule to put in the primary inbox folder (email 2).
After that the email was only checking one to send and recieve based on the highlighted account, so to resolved that I went to Send/Reveive Groups > Define Groups > Edit Account Properties and made sure they refresh every 1 minute(s).
