Send html page (with images) using sockets

I am trying to implement http and am coding this using sockets. So it is a simple client-server set up where the browser queries my server for a webpage and it should be shown. The html itself is fine, but I can't get any of the images to show up! All of my messages give me a status "200 OK" for the images, so I cant understand what my problem is!
Also, is the status and header lines supposed to be shown in the browser? I didnt think so but it keeps showing up when I query a webpage.
Please help!

  • Send HTML mail with image

    Hi experts and gurus,
    how can I send an HTML email which is displaying an image in the HTML context (table)?
    I'm using the 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' like below:
    CALL FUNCTION 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'
        EXPORTING
          document_data              = ls_doc_data
          document_type              = 'HTM'
          put_in_outbox                = 'X'
          commit_work                 = 'X'
        TABLES
          object_content             = gt_mail_body
          receivers                  = gt_receiver .
    I think that might switch to function module 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1', but I have no clue how to set up the PACKING_LIST properly and to incorporate the image into the HTML code afterwards.
    Can anybody help me?

  • Sending an image using sockets

    can anybody give an idea about how to send an image using sockets.....
    what i want to do is a client that connects to a server this server has the images...so the client request any image that the server has and display it int the client's frame

    Very good point! The problem ( I told you it was untested!) with the above is that the Image class isn't actually serialisable.
    The solution depends on how you're storing your images and how you're managing them within your server. It also depends on your proposed client. For example, if your client was a browser and your images files on a disk, then you might use:
                        Socket s;
                        // Write out header
                        PrintWriter pw = new PrintWriter(s.getOutputStream());
                        pw.println("Content-Type: image/gif");
                        // And send out data.
                        byte[] buffer = new byte[2048];
                        int count;
                        while((count = fis.read(buffer))>0) {
                             s.getOutputStream().write(buffer, 0, count);
                        s.getOutputStream().close();
                   }although you'd probably be better off using a proper webserver. If you're using a proprietry client, then you can either use Swing's JEditorPane to act like browser and display the image as the server above presents it.
    Otherwise, your client could use the incoming byte stream to create a BufferedImage instance.
    How are you storing your images and how are you presenting them?

  • Send HTML mail with an image

    Hi there,
    I'm trying to send html mail with an image. I'm able to see the image but in another section, at the very bottom of my message. Is it possible to display the image in the main part of my message ?
    Here my code :
    MimeMultipart multi = new MimeMultipart();
    BodyPart messageBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
    String htmlText = <H1>Test</H1><img src=\"cid:image\">";
    messageBodyPart.setContent(htmlText, "text/html");
    multi.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart);
    MimeBodyPart imagePart = new MimeBodyPart();
    DataSource fds = new FileDataSource("C:\\Resources\\Templates\\logo.jpg");
    imagePart.setFileName( "geologo.jpg" );
    imagePart.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fds));
    imagePart.setHeader("Content-ID","<image>");
    multi.addBodyPart(imagePart);
    msg.setContent(multi);
    Transport.send(msg);

    How many different e-mail clients have you tested that with?

    Sorry to say, but that is not a webpage -
    There is no doctype, no head section, no body section .

  • Populating HTML Page with fields from a Report

    Greetings all,
    I think I have finally figured out how to format my question about customizing reports
    I am using the Sample Applicaiton and I created a simple report (PAGE 20) using the DEMO_CUSTOMER table. The simple report shows the CUSTOMER_ID, CUST_FIRST_NAME, CUST_LAST_NAME
    I created a blank page (PAGE 21) with an HTML Region. In the HTML region I have created an HTML Table with Two Columns and 3 rows:
    <table border="1">
    <tr>
    <td>CUSTOMER ID</td>
    <td>rVALUE OF CUSTOMER ID</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>FIRST NAME</td>
    <td>rVALUE OF CUST_FIRST_NAME</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>LAST NAME</td>
    <td>rVALUE OF CUST_LAST_NAME</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    On my report page 20, I created a link from the Customer ID and I wanted to know if I could populate the Table I created on Page 21 with say a P21_CUSTOMER_ID field and when I click the link on page 20 it redirects to page 21 and P21_CUSTOMER_ID = #CUSTOMER_ID# just like I would do for a formatted report. I added items to page 21 called P21_CUSTOMER_ID, P21_CUST_FIRST_NAME, P21_CUST_LAST_NAME
    but I don't know how to get their values into the table that I created. Do I have to make an html form element and reference it? Make fields hidden? Not sure How to populate the table I created with the values that are passed into page 21 and any help would be appreciated. I am sure however I identify the variable I could then just use that same formatting and use Styles and Divs to make the page look like I want and just reference the same way, but unsure of how to do that.
    Any assistance you can provide would be very much appreciated. I am trying to create a report view that looks like a web page with images, and the passed data would be populated throughout the HTML and not in a structured Tabular Format if that makes sense.
    Thanks in Advance
    Wally

    Hi,
    There are more than one ways of doing this.
    Extending what you have done , heres how
    Assumption : You are getting values in P21_CUSTOMER_ID, P21_CUST_FIRST_NAME, P21_CUST_LAST_NAME
    Edit your HTML table , and refer to the P21 items with &P21_CUSTOMER_ID. notation as follows
    <table border="1">
    <tr>
    <td>CUSTOMER ID</td>
    <td>&P21_CUSTOMER_ID.</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>FIRST NAME</td>
    <td>&P21_CUST_FIRST_NAME.</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>LAST NAME</td>
    <td>&P21_CUST_LAST_NAME.</td>
    </tr>
    </table>The other way is to create a Report with Single Row vertical layout template on Page 21 instead of the HTML region.

  • Replace HTML page with an applet

    Hello to everybody!
    I created a servlet who can manage file upload from an HTML page.
    Now I want to replace that HTML page with an applet.
    I know that I need to use multipart/form-data , but I have no experience with applet.
    HTML page code is:
    <html>
    <head><title>Upload</title></head>
    <body>
    <FORM ACTION="http://localhost:8080/examples/servlets/servlet/UploadTest" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" METHOD=POST>
    What is your name? <INPUT TYPE=TEXT NAME=submitter> <BR>
    Which file do you want to upload? <INPUT TYPE=FILE NAME=file> <BR>
    <INPUT TYPE=SUBMIT>
    </FORM>
    </body>
    </html>
    Any help for "translating" this html page into an applet?
    Applet will send, like html page, a string and a file.
    Thanks in advance, Liuk

    If you use something like Apache Http Client you dont have to do any low level implementations.
    Also if you are the one who is writing both servlet and applet you dot have to stick to standerd formats. you can develop your own format and write both servlet and applet to handle it. that kind of thing can be done easily even with URLConnection. But if you plan to send large files then URLConnection may not be the right option becouse I have seen many complaining that URLConnection gives OutOfMemoryErrors when uploading large amounts of data.

  • Procedure or Function that send E-mail with image background and file attached

    hi
    I4d like know if someone there is a procedure or function that send E-mail with image background and file attached, for me.
    thanks
    Josi Vieira

    If you go to this part of OTN you will find the official Oracle UTL_SMTP demo, which includes attachments:
    http://technet.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/pl_sql/htdocs/Utl_Smtp_Sample.html
    Getting a background is slightly trickier. The UTL_SMTP package is for primarily sending text e-mails, whereas images require HTML e-mail. I suggest you look at the structure of a sample HTML e-mail and see if you can write the necessary HTML strings in the DATA parameter. Otherwise you'll need to investigate handcrafting a program based on the UTL_TCP package.

    If this seems like a lot of trouble I agree and urge you not to bother. HTML e-mail is one of the curses of the modern age, not least because it is frequently used by purveyors of viruses. I have a filter on my Outlook client that strips out all the HTML in any e-mail I receive, which means I get lots of e-mails rendered unreadable by the inclusion of <HTML> tags. But who cares, they're mostly spam anyway. In fact, the use of HTML in an e-mail is almost always an indicator of the irrelevance of its content.

  • A tree-view in HTML page with nodes generated with java script in run time is not visible in the UI Automation Tree. Need Help

    I have a HTML page with an IFrame. Inside the Iframe there is a table with a tree view

    In UIA, i am able to traverse till the tree view but not able to see it.
    I have used the TreeWalker.RawViewWalker Field to traverse the node from the desktop Automation.RootElement.
    I tried to use AutomationElement.FromPoint method to check whether i am able to get that element. Fortunately i was able to get the automation element.
    i tried to get the path to root element from the node element using the TreeWalker.RawViewWalker. I was able to get the parent path to the root element.
    But trying the reverse way like navigating from root element to tree node, was not getting the element for me.
    Please help me with suggestions or inputs to resolve this issue.

After setting up according to Bernard's recommended setup steps, the java console showed that it loaded the icon jar file when it could not read the form, but it skipped the loading of the icon jar file once it read and started the form. How do we specify in the form to pick up the icon from the jar file instead from a directory ? Or do we need to specify ? Any ideas ?
    Thx and Regards

  • How to populate a page with images in across/down direction?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to populate a page with images in across and down direction (for example 6 X 6 )? It seems that I cannot use data table because records are only running downward and each row can have one record.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated. thanks.

    Alex,
    You can create your own tabular form using APEX_ITEM API's
    Create report and you can put similar code to following
    SELECT APEX_ITEM.TEXT(1,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col2) pk2 FROM your_tableSo data will be displayed in TEXT boxes as if it's a tabular form. Now you need to handle INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE processes manually. You can easily handle INSERT and DELETE. But handling UPDATE can be a nightmare. What if user has updated both the column values?
    Updated details
    One way out would be to use ROWID as Primary key to handle DELETE and UPDATE
    SELECT APEX_ITEM.CHECKBOX(1,ROWID) tick, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(2,col1) pk1, APEX_ITEM.TEXT(3,col2) pk2 FROM your_tablebut yet I suggest to go for proper primary key..

  • How to display html content with image in Adobe Flash and Flex mobile project?

    Hi,
      I have a html content with image in it. How to display it in Adobe Flash Builder and Flex mobile project? Which control needs to be used for this?

    Hello,
    The only current way is to use an iFrame, or if you only need some html tags you could use the Text Layout Framework.
    Here this is the iFrame approach:
    http://code.google.com/p/flex-iframe/
    If the swc do not work in Flex4 just use its ource code which works...
    ...it is basically based on this:

  • Sending HTML email with SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

    Hi all,
    I have implemented a function module to send HTML emails with SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
    It works fine, but in every email I have at the end a CRLF which looks not very nice in MS Outlook.
    It seems that this will be added to every email in addition to my HTML text.
    Has anyone an idea how I can prevent this?
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Marcel

    Hi Marcel,
    not only you can, you should use CL_BCS for sending of email. Although I expect it to be not too different from the old functions, it points to the object oriented future of SAP/ABAP. At least it should run more stable and SAP recommends to use it as a replacement for old functions.
    I came across one blog
    [Sending HTML Email from SAP CRM/ERP|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=%28J2EE3417300%29ID2058700050DB10227264795501776639End?blog=/pub/wlg/2273]
    You may be careful with this one: Probably it's not exactly what you need.
    The one I love most for its simplicity is this one

    although it does not mention HTML - I think easy for you to adapt. Compared  to functional SO_DOCUMENT.. approach the program will shrink.
    If you want to understand the concepts behind, nobody explains it better than
