Send in for service procedure

i have sucessfully received a service tag number and have been requested to send device in for service
what is the procedure do i take it to apple
or do they send me out a box
thanks

I think this depends if it's personal or business/education. If it's a personal device I believe you would just take it to the Apple store for repair. If this is business/education device they send you a box to ship the device in.

  • All headphones give distorted, crackly sound. Sometimes no sound. Headphone jack broken? Apple expresslane support giving a "generic error" message whenever I try to send in for service...

As in the title. For a while the headphone jack is occasionally crackly when the jack moves around in the port. It finally died today when I plugged it in and all the audio is heavily distorted and sometimes cuts out completely. Whenever I try to set up a service with Apple I keep getting this error message:
We're sorry, but we are unable to complete your request at this time.
Please try again in a few minutes or start over now.
I can't get through to the Irish support phone number either, it keeps saying number not recognised. Is there any other way I can send my iphone in for service (closest genius bar is 500km away...)

ATA bus error means that data corruption occurred during transmission over ATA bus (SATA or PATA). This type of errors can be indicated by
ICRC or ABRT error as described in the section called “ATA/ATAPI device error (non-NCQ / non-CHECK CONDITION)”.
Controller-specific error completion with error information indicating transmission error.
On some controllers, command timeout. In this case, there may be a mechanism to determine that the timeout is due to transmission error.
Unknown/random errors, timeouts and all sorts of weirdities.
As described above, transmission errors can cause wide variety of symptoms ranging from device ICRC error to random device lockup, and, for many cases, there is no way to tell if an error condition is due to transmission error or not; therefore, it's necessary to employ some kind of heuristic when dealing with errors and timeouts. For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.
I'd also add; make sure you have good backups when ATA errors are frequent

  • Send in for Service

My ipad will not accept my charger.  I constantly get the message "Charging not...with this accessory."  I've replaced the cord and adapter a few times.  In any event, I followed the online steps to send it in for service but each time I get to the page where it reads "Select the part you want to replace" I am unable to move forward as none of the hyperlinks on the page work.  Does anyone know how to get past this or how to send my ipad in for service without using the web site?

  • Add SEND button for service commands

Would it be possible to add a "send" button at the bottom middle for service command view?
Service command is the menu you get when you phone a *123# number for example.
Currently you have to select your number/option by typing it and then select "Options" and select send. There are just two buttons currently in that view (Back and Options) on the Symbian Belle interface. My old Nokia had a dedicated send button
Anyway, would really make things easier because these type op menu's are used by the mobile banking sites and to check my cellphone account balances.
    Thanks!

Agree, its very annoying that you have to press more buttons for simple operations like sending sms.

Tried with different ear piece but the problem still persist. Wonder how much does it require if sent in for servicing?

  • Where do I send ipad for service/repair

I have logged sound problem with Apple regarding my ipad 3 wi-if (no sound, keeps going off for no reason, all avenues checked as suggested on forums) and because I only purchased it inOctober 2012 and believe it is under warranty and service should be free of charge.  All details logged and received a reference number but no details on how and where to send it.  Will Apple send me packaging via the post so I can send it directly to them?

  • Sending my ipod video 1st gen for service?

need some advice from anyone who has similar experience.
    here's the scenario:
my ipod video 30gb 1st gen got contacted with water and now it is unable to switch on.. it'll flicker a white screen once or twice after sometime of inactivity..
i'm already out of warranty.. should I send it for servicing? or is it better to get a new ipod? i am from singapore and a new 30gb video 2nd gen will cost 400+..
    please do advise me
    thanks to all

Apple will not fix the iPod if it has been water damaged, it would cost too much money, cheaper to get a new iPod.
You may be able to sort this yourself though. How long have you let the iPod dry out? It can take a while to get rid of dampness.
If you can open the iPod (loads of sites show you how to do it). and leave the iPod in a warm area for a few days, then put the back on and try it again.
Also do you have house insurance, you may have accidental cover that would pay for a new iPod.

  • Pricing procedure for service pos

    Hi guys,
WE have defined two pricing procedures i.e. for domestic and for import.  When we create a service PO, domestic pricing procedure is being populated.  Is this the standard functionality or do we need to use a separate pricing procedure for service POs?  If that is the case, how to do it?
We are using the same document type and same purchase organisation for purchase order for services and materials
    thanks in advance

Normaly the std domestic price will work for the service but you have service pricing also,
    for the std service pricing
SPRO-MM-External service management-Maintain conditon for services
here you will find the service schema and which will defualt in the service PO
If want to see the service condtion
go to PO service tab and click on condition icon at the bottom of the screen and it will show you the service conditon with schema

Don't know. You have not told us what system you have.

  • Pricing procedure for service PO

    Hi,
Why there is a seperate pricing procedure in service tab of the service POs?
Where we need to assign it?
    Regards,

    hi Rajan,
As services are placed differently in the SAP, for eg you make different service master record etc for procuring services, so only the conditions are also placed differently for the external service procurements...
You have to maintain the condition types, schema for while the conditions will be taken into account, and the condition table with the fields in it...
Do define all this at : SPRO >> MM >> External service management >> Maintain conditions for services >> Conditions:condition types, condition table, schema etc...
    Regards

  • Pricing procedure for Service PO and Service Entry Sheet

    Hi
Can the same pricing procedure be used for Service PO and Service Entry Sheet? What is the purpose of creating a seperate pricing procedure for service entry sheet?
    Regards
    Soumen

There is no separate pricing procedure for Service Entry Sheet.  Whatever the schema is determined in Service PO, the price is calcuated during service entry sheet.  However you can maintain separate calculation schema for service purchase orders.
This schema will be determined based on the schema group assigned in Vendor Master.
