"Send link..." context menu item does not launch the mail client

This was working in Firefox 12 but with the latest update to Firefox 13.x no mail client is launched (mine is Thunderbird) when context menu item "Send link..." is clicked.

Does it happen for you? If not, how could I solve it?

I changed the network.protocol-handler.external.mailto setting in about:config to the default value (true) and that seemed to fix it.
I don't know what changed it before though.

Lookout 6.1 build 27 OPCClient does not launch the Opto 22 OPC SEVER

In the same computer, with the same Lookout 6.1 a few weeks ago, I had communication between Opto 22 OPC Server and Lookout using the OPCClient in Lookout. Settings in OPCClient were for a really fast scanning rate (50 milliseconds) and de deadband was set to zero in order to see all the inputs changes with the best resolution. These I/O units are Opto PAC EB2 brains, and the OPC Server belongs to the suite of PAC 8.0 (I tried also 8.1) of Opto 22. The I/O Configuration and the OPC configuration was done with the same OPTO22 software version.This was a test done in order to see if I can get 20 samples per second from all the I/O's. It did go well, even a little faster than required. It was informed to my bosses, then I had the 'go' for the project I'm working on. That was the main concern of everyone here; the fast communication between Lookout an the Hardware.
The computer runs windows XP SP2, has two ethernet ports; one with dynamic IP address on motherboard (for the company network), and a PCI ethernet cad with a fixed IP address in the range of the IP addresses of the Opto 22 brains dedicated to talk to these I/O units.
I called first to the tech support of OPTO 22. They shown me how to double check and to launch manually the OPC Server, there is a tester software for it. The OPC Server was launched and I saw it in the task manager under processes tab.
When I create the object in Lookout, it does not see the server, neither launches the server. I can see the data members of the OPCClient, but I can not see the variables or tags from the server.
Again, it did work a few weeks before in the same PC, with the same Lookout and the same Opto 22 as a test. Now I need to add the OPCClient to my application and make the corresponding connections, but I can't.
This is becoming a kind of hurry, time is running and the application can not get to work.

When the OPC Client object is created, I can select the OPTO22OPCSever.2 in the dropdown list of servers. It is there, and the object can be configured normally. I must see in the object explorer (expanding the OPCClient object) the tags configured in OPTO 22 Server,but they are not there. The Client object only shows its data members. Once Lookout is open with the OPCClient, the task manager/services does not show Opto22OPCSever.exe running, that tells me that Lookout's client does not launch the server and that's why it does not show the tags configured in the server.
I have uninstalled Opto 22 software and re-installed, I called Opto 22 tech support and they shown me a way to launch manually the server, even how to monitor some of the values of its tags. I saw the Opto22OPCServer.exe in the processes list of the task manager, I read values of some tags with the OPC tester, To me, the server side is working fine.
Then, I installed Lookout .During this process there was an error 1922 and a message saying that files mssgl.mdf, mssgl.mdl, and mssgl.ldl are not found, These files must be located in C:\ Program Files\ National Instruments\Lookout 6.1\ Database. During the first installation of Lookout 6.1, I followed the instructions in the README file, where some specific commands must be typed in the run windows and executed to create the database properly. It was done, no errors were displayed during the first installation.
The thing is that this OPCClient/OPCServer DID WORK before. For some reason it does not work NOW.
this computer didn't have any previous version of Lookout installed, there is no possible old database messing here.

Under Window in the Menu bar select Connection doctor. You will see green to indicate a connection and red to show there is a problem. Except for iCloud account you'll see two entries for each account 1) receiving and 2 SMTP for sending.
If it's red, this usually means it's missing the password.
For Incoming messages, set in the account window, under Account Information tab.
For Outgoing (SMTP) messages, follow these steps:
EDIT SMTP SETTINGS
In Accounts window > Outgoing Mail Server SMTP: select to Edit SMTP Server list... from popup.
Select account in the list.(It's not uncommon to find extra SMTP servers listed. When you remove account, Mail does not delete the smtp info. You might need to do some clean up in the list to remove the extras.)
Under Advanced Tab:
Apple defaults to the default ports (25,465, 587) but some servers prefer a custom port. Check to see what port they recommend. Gmail for example likes 465, Outlook.com 587.
Verify if your server require SSL.
User Name. Enter full email address eg. [email protected]
Add password if it is blank.(If you have two step authentication setup, you'll need to get an app specific password more info)
Open Connection Doctor under Window in the Menu bar.
Do you see green light now for your account SMTP?

Moving mail to the trash icon does not delete the mail.

I am using an iPad with OS Ver 7.0.2. Moving mail to the "Trash" icon does not delete the mail from the Inbox. This is not a problem on my iPhone. Settings are the same on both devices

First thing to try is a reset: hold the on/off button and the hold button at the same time until the iPad completely shuts down, then turn back on.
May not work, but often resolves simple app issues.

Under what circumstances does mail "not leave the mails on the server"?
If you mean that you delete them (or move them out of the inbox) on one device and then find them not in the inbox on the server when you look from another device, that's how IMAP is supposed to work. (Note that the deletion or moving might be the result of rules you have set up in Mail.)
If you mean something else, please explain your issue in more detail.

"Hyperion" menu item does not appear in Excel after SmartView Installation

Hi to all! When I first installed SmartView, everything was ok - "Hyperion" menu item appeared in Excel and I successfully established connection to Planning and worked with data in Excel. Then, once upon a time I happened to select all data through Ctrl+A in the data form open in Excel and tried to copy it to another worksheet in the same workbook, Excel threw out a message about some serious error and informed me that the Hyperion Add-on would be removed. So it was removed in fact. When I was reinstalling Smart-View, all the installation went smoothly but the "Hyperion" menu item did not appear in Excel again. I tried to reinstall both Excel and SmartView and rebooted the system several times but the Hyperion menu item still does not appear in Excel. Can anyone hint me on how to solve this? Menu Items does not display after Making ARD file

I have created a Addon Which has Five Menu Items. Three Items in Setup->Inventory and Two in Inventory->Inventory Transcation. It will woriking fine when I run my addon from Visual Studio directly But after created ARD file It does not show Menu items. There was no error during making ARD. I tried three times. But result is same it does not show any Menu Items. Plz suggest me Code is given below. I Use VB B1 AddOn Wizard for creating Menu Items This has a seprate addMenu.xml module.

Hi,
Did you included the AddMenus.xml in the extra files when you generated the installer?
The AddMenus.xml file needs to be in the same folder as the addon exe. If there is no AddMenus.xml file there is no error raised, B1DE thinks there are no menus to add.
You have to include all extra files in the installer when you generate it.

In the menu item code I want to enable debug logging of the current user actions.
In the Menu Startup Code I set the status UNCHECKED.

Hm. In that case the only thing that comes to my mind is to apply the latest patchset for forms 11gR1 which is 11.1.1.6 if memory serves.Not possible, applying patches requires tons of tests for many applications.
Does it work in a previous version of forms?This is a new menu item and I have not other version available to test.
Another thing I found: When I open or close a form after clicking the menu item, then the check mark appears. Changing the label of an item works without opening a form.
Therefore I changed my Menu Item Code to

END;Now when I click the menu item the first time, the label changes immediately, but not the check mark. When I click the menu item a second time without opening a form the label does not change, this means, that the property CHECKED is only changed, when a form is opend/closed.
Even better: The initial label id Debug, clicking the item should change it to+ Debug on+ and on subsequent clicks change between Debug on and Debug off
1. Click -> Label changes to "Debug on", check mark unchanged
2. open a form
3. Check mark is shown but label is the default Debug
4. close the form
5. Check mark is not shown, label is back to Debug on
6. Repeat step 2 - 5 with the same result
Different sequences of clicking and opening/closing forms give seemingly random combinations of check mark on/off and label texts.
Conclusion:
A menu check item is a very obstinate thing. I will not use it if I can avoid it.

So my "Send Link..." option in the top of the Browser doesn't function properly anymore. I have it attached to my gmail account and used to function but it hasn't as of late.
Any troubleshooting info would be greatly appreciated, if any.

There has to be an e-mail client set in order to see any effect if you select Mail items.<br />
So you first have to make sure that that part is correct and that is the default mail program as set in the OS and the Mailto setting in Tools > Options > Applications.<br />
You can try to redo the the default email program and set another program as that.<br />
Other settings that may interfere are mail prefs that you can inspect on the about:config page and a possible corruption of the file mimeTypes.rdf in the profile folder.
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions
You can look at the network.protocol-handler.external.mailto prefs on the about:config page.
If network.protocol-handler.external.mailto prefs are user set (bold) then right-click and Reset them to the default value.

ADF appl link to SQL database does not save the change

I use SQLJDBC 4 to connect to MS 2008 database. Then I create an simple ADF application with one model and business component that connect to one table. When I run the app. The grid and the detail come up nicely. I can insert new row and modified existing row without error with submit-commit operation. The grid updated with the change. But it did not update the database when I check the data from studio manager. Is there any configuration I am missing so the data are not updated.

What exactly do you mean by submit-commit operation?
Have you run the application with jbo.debugoutput=console to see what its send to the server?

Check your iPhone's Email settings in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calenders then selec the account. Make sure the Outgoing Mail Server is properly set. It may or may not be the same as the Incoming server. Contact your email provider for the proper address. If the address is properly set try trunning "Use SSL" off as well as ensuring the proper username and passord is enter here as well.

Firefox does not display the mail on att/yahoo mail page

How can I restore the display showing my mail? I am using Firefox with Yahoo mail. For some reason it appears that the margins have disappeared and now only the first column (i.e., the column showing the "Inbox", "Contacts" and "Folders") is displayed. Nothing happens when I click on the "inbox" icon; the mail is not displayed.

I have been having this problem too of late. Buttons on the top of the inbox view are not showing up. And most painful is that the body of emails are not showing up.
I checked my IE view settings to compare them to my Firefox settings and they are equivalent (i.e., using UTF-8). On a whim, I switched my Yahoo mail to the "all new Yahoo mail" and the problem went away. Switched back to Yahoo mail classic and the problem comes right back.
So it could be a Firefox thing OR it could be precipitated by Yahoo.
