Send mail icon

How can I put a send mail icon in the Apple mail tool bar.
I see how to put so many things but not a Send or Send mail Icon. I only see the option in the drop down menu.
Thanks in advance

you can't put such button in the toolbar of the main mail viewer window (and it wouldn't make sense there either). However, This button should be present by default in any mail composition window. if it's not there, go to view->customize toolbar and drag the send button to the toolbar of the message composition window.

  • Send Mail icon is not "live."

The "send mail" icon on my new MacBook Pro (10.5.1) is grayed when I try to send a message. I recently transferred my applications and settings from my iMac (10.4.11) to the MacBook Pro via firewire...wondering if that might be the problem. No problems receiving mail on either machine and no problems sending mail on the iMac.
Anyone have a similar problem and, hopefully, a solution?

  • Send Mail Icon Disappeared

After upgrading to Leopard my send mail icon when composing a new email has disappeared. I am still able to receive email and reply.
    Any thoughts?

Go to Mail (menu) > File > New message > View > Customise toolbar > and click / drag the send icon into its normal place.
Edit  The customise toolbar contents vary according to where you raise it from.

  • Can no longer send mail from exchange account

My send mail icon is now greyed out and I can no longer send mail. The only thing that I have done that I never do is I selected the "synchronize" option on the mailbox name after right clicking on it last night.
As far as Mail goes, I attempted to set up a MediaCom email box several days ago that never worked correctly, but I changed no settings on the exchange account and it was working great 24 hours ago. I've deleted the MediaCom email box.
Tried the usual quitting, rebooting but nothing is working, any ideas why this started and how to fix.

It is possible the Evil Starbucks empire has blocked SMTP sending as an antispam measure. You would need to log in to your email server using the smtpauth protocol. For example, Earthlink has an smtpauth.earthlink.net server for secure sending, which I was able to use sending from any public AP. Possibly T-Mobile has a similar authorized server.
But nowadays I just use Gmail, they make it easy and reliable to send from anywhere because they use a custom smtp port. Yeah, Gmail solved a multitude of problems with mobile sending.

  • Send mail step in local workflow

    Hi Experts,
I have inserted a send mail step in my local workflow. But while executing the workflow rather than sending mail my workflow stops with status In process in send mail step. In graphical log its displaying as "No agent found" for send mail step. But i have assigned workflow initiator as agent. But other than send mail if i use other steps like user decision or activity in local workflow, wokflows proceeds with execution and sets to status completed. Should i not use send mail in local workflow step?
    Things i have done:
    1. I have mail workflow as general task from PFTC.
    2. Tried with SWU_OBUF
    3. Correctly assigned WF_INITIATOR as expression for send mail.
Kindly help me in this regard.
    KR,
    S Bharath

    Dear Bakker,
Sorry for the confusion. In send mail I tried with 2 options,
    1. I directly gave expression as WF_INITIATOR
    2. I created a workflow container element with type SWHACTOR and assigned a user id as initial value.
In both cases I am not getting send mail icon and status mail sent (one that usually comes for a send mail step in log) but instead i am getting an activity icon displayed with status ready. But there is no agent icon displayed (usually we click this to find the assigned agent). So the status of the workflow remains as In process.

As all of the msuic came from your computer in the first place it should still be there.  Is it not?
EVERYTHING on your ipod should also be on your computer and should be included in your regular backup copy of your computer.
Make sure that everything is on your computer.  You can transfer itunes purchases from the ipod.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases.
When everything is on your computer, then it can be synced back to the ipod after updating.

  • I click on mail icon but nothing happens and i cannot access mail or send it.

I click the mail icon and nothing happens. How can I fix this problem so that I can send and recieve mail again?

    Hi ...
Try launching Mail from the Applications folder.
If you can launch Mail from there, then drag the Mail icon straight up off the Dock so it goes, "poof"... then after you have the Mail app open again click and hold the new icon in the Dock then click Options > Keep in Dock.

Make sure your Mac's software is up to date.
Click your Apple menu  top right in your screen.

  • HT3228 My mail icon shows how many I have, but there isn't any list on the left side.  I will read your answers on another computer.   I can send OK.

My mail icon shows how many I have, but the screen is blank with no emails listed on the left side.  They used to be there.  I can send OK.
Any suggestions?  I will read replies on another computer until this is resolved.

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • Mail icon doesn't let me send emails

I've had my macbook a few years now and everything has been working fine, until a few days/weeks ago. My mail icon on my taskbar doesn't let me send emails any more. it receives emails and has always worked in the past, but now I have to log in to the internet and google to send emails, which has limited abilities compared to the mail icon. I have recently updated my operating system to Yosemite, any ideas ?

The message below is what appears a couple of minutes after I click send. I'm having problems because I haven't changed anything within my settings and it used to work previously

That's OK, I'm glad your up and running.
The keyboard command I posted would also send mail. I posted it as a diagnostic, then listed my suspected problem.
If the keyboard command did work, it woul have pointed me in a different direction to try help solve your problem.
    Glad to have helped.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To start troubleshooting this issue where the Mail application is not appearing correctly on your iPad, I'd like you to please force the Mail app to quit, and then restart your iPad.
