Not sure which red calendar widget you're referring to. Even if it ran on 10.4.x it may not be compatible with Leopard. Google has a good one... http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/business/googlecalendarwidget.html

This is more of a complaint than a question. I hate the iOS 7 calendar. The view of my appointments is terrible. Is there anyway to have the old calendar setup back? Cathy

We'll I can't comment on the South Park stuff but we are in agreement on the calendar. As mentioned by leonieDF and also by a friend I found a great app called Week Agenda Ultimate and it love it. It takes info from the iOS 7 calendar I hate and puts it in this app. It's perfect. For .99 cents you can't best it. Good luck!

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums.

Time to send in the old MBP or just buy applecare and pray?

Last week I sold my life (my 2x 1.8Ghz Powermac and 1.33 14" ibook) for a Macbook Pro. I purchased a refurbished MBP 2.0 Ghz and i was so excited, but now, I have the whine (which i fixed using QuietMBP a nice program. and I keep getting these painful shocks on my forearm while I am using it (while its plugged in). I still can return it but I dont know what to do!?! I still have over a month of school left and need a computer. Should I just sent this beast in or buy applecare and wait?

If you need a computer and cannot get hold of another one if you send the MBP in then I guess you have to hold on to your purchase in order to complete your school work.
If you feel that you can live with the workarounds to the whine then you may as well keep the machine and enjoy all the other great features that work well.
Once you keep the machine and register it with Applecare then it's more or less "yours for life" unless you try to sell it later on, though I'm not sure if these early MBPs will fetch a good price down the road if later revisions come out without these (or other major) problems (think: the hot revision A of the Powerbook 12").
So, the question really is: is your current MBP something you are either prepared to live with and enjoy for a long time or maybe take a hit on during re-sale later on? Or would you sleep better at nights having returned it, making do with a temporary machine and waiting for something better to come along?
Another thought: since nobody has officially said that the CPU whine is a recognized problem yet, it may be something that is recognized and fixed down the line, but the possibility also exists that it never will get fixed, except in the next revision of the product. So, I wouldn't count on a fix at this stage.

Remove a domain from Exchange 2003, now other domains cannot send to the old domain error 5.1.1

We have a single Exchange 2003 server. We have multiple mail domains on the server, but are slowly moving to a hosted email solution. I moved the first domain, I will call it
domainABC, to our hosted solution. I have removed all exchange mailboxes from the users, and deselected the domain from Recipient Policies. I then ran the policy.
Whenever I send an email to anyone on Domain ABC from any other domain on the Exchange server, I get the 5.1.1 message. I am not sure what to do next - any help would be appreciated...

Could you post the detail information for the NDR message?
When you migrate all the users to the host email server, did you change mx record point to the new server?
You also can use this tool to help you check for the inbound email test (for Domain ABC).

Where do we have to send back the old adapter ?

I ordered the new replacement adapter via web and got the package from Fedex. There was a return label and when I took the package back to fedex, they told that it's not their return label. They told that apple sent via fedex but return is not through them. They told it may be via DHL.
Does anyone have same problem? The Label doesn't say anything. It just says "EXP". So will it be via DHL?

yes it is also clearly stated in the paper you received that you should take it to the nearest DHL.

I gave my calendars new names as part of reducing the total number of calendars in my iCal, and now iTunes still lists the old calendar names as well as the new ones in its "selected calendars" list, even though these names are no longer present in my iCal nor on my iPod Touch. How can I remove the old calendar names?

The "genius" folks at the Apple Store lived up to their names. The key was to reset the iSync history in the iSync Preferences.

About the calendar widget

I wish to use the Tiger calendar widget in a new way:
i would like to be able to run a first part of the widget for the current day,
and another part of this widget for the current month calendar.
I know it's HTML code but i'm very dummie about rewrite the code.
Is this possible to do? (knowing the copyright of the widget could prevent this work????)

HT2492 ML Dashboard Calendar widget has lost the ability to change the date.

In ML the Dashboard calendar widget has lost the ability to change the day to other days. You can still navigate to different months with the arrow keys, but clicking on any day has no effect. I have not found a keystroke/mouse combination that allows the date to be changed from today's date.
This is a useful function for me, to quickly be able to see what I have scheduled on any day. Now I have to open iCal, which is annoying.

You are correct that there is no way to sort jobs in the print queue window in Snow Leopard. This is to be considered expected behavior. In other words, that's the way the software engineers intend it to work in Snow Leopard. You should provide Apple with feedback as to what you want. Is there any way I can get the old iPhone calendar (design)?

When I upgraded to iOS7 I immediately wasn't a fan of the calendar (you now have to scroll down to see what's happening on any given day, instead of the convenient snapshot view like in the old calendar). I was willing to chalk it up to change and give it a try but months later I still hate the calendar. Is there anyway I can just get the old calendar version back... via app or anything?

Apps that people seem to recommend a lot include Tempo and Fantastical. Week Cal also has a view like the old month view.

Xperia calendar widget wastes space

I love the Xperia Calendar (12.0.A.0.18) and think its user interface is superior to Google's Calendar app. However, I do not like the Xperia Calendar's widget. I like to have a nice and compact 2x2 Calendar widget on my home screen - this works fine with the Google Calendar and lets me conveniently see upcoming events, but with the Xperia Calendar widget resized to 2x2 too much information becomes truncated for it to be useful.
Perhaps Sony could provide us with a range of calendar widgets to improve the widget functionality in small sizes? I'm not a fan of the white colour either, and would prefer some transparency (I also preferred the look of the old Google Calendar widget before they changed the bar at the top from grey to blue, though I also think this bar with the current date is unnecessary altogether as I use a separate date and time widget. Allowing customization would be best)

OK, forget it Sony. On the Play Store I just found a 3rd party open source calendar widget simply called "Calendar Widget" from "+1 labs" that does what I want and is extremely customizable. Perhaps you could even incorporate it as it is open source!

How can I get my old calendar app restored

The new update changed my calendar and it is now HARDER to use. Is there a way to restore the old calendar? If not is there a calendar app that is similar to the old IPHONE calendar? I'm just about ready to leave apple for another phone becasue each change they make is not user friendly.

How to Get Compact View in Calendar Widget?

When I added the stock iOS Calender widget to Notification Center it showed the compact view of all of my events for the day. Now it shows the current event with a red line going across the screen that displays the current time relative to the event's time. Is there a way to switch back? I had the compact view until I had to restore my phone yesterday. Now I seem to be stuck with the detailed time view which is useless to me.

It seems to follow the view you use in the Calendar app. Go to your Calendar app and view your events as a list (go to a single-day view, then click the list button in the top row). Now the Today Calendar widget should display in list view. It seems to stay this way. But if you go back into regular day view in your Calendar app (with the red line showing current time and the big boxes), then the widget switches back to that.
That's as far as I can tell, but I don't know that it's working 100% consistently.

I need to get my old calendar data into my new calendar on my new MacBook Pro without erasing what is in there now, anyone know how to do it?

I do not have access to my old computer (can boot in safe mode, other wise nothing on the screen, even with an external monitor) to export the old calendars. I have the old calendar files on my new computer. The titles of the old calendars are in the sidebar of the new calendar app but none of the old events are there. I must not have set up correctly initially. I was using OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 previously and now use Yosemite 10.10.2 both computers are Mac Book Pros, the new one is the mid 2014 15" Retina.

Hi Linc, I started setting up my new computer a few months ago so don't remember the details. I did not use migration assistant, nor do I wish to, I believe it was set up through icloud. Now that I needed my calendar while doing taxes I discover there are no events for 2014 and earlier (except 2 oddly enough). I do remember that iCloud instructions were not clear as to what would happen in the choices it gave.
I copied my old user files over from my external back up after my old computer stopped working, was hoping I could put ical folders in the right place to be used by Calendar or import somehow.
