Send out a mass mailing from my ipad 2
I have an ipad 2 wifi and want to carry out a mass mailing but do not have my contacts sorted into groups as yet. Do I have to manually select everyone to add them to the list for my mailing out?
I want to tell people I have anew email address as an old one will become obsolete soon. Any advice!?
In thumbnail view in the Photos app you should be able to use the icon top right of the box with the arrow coming out of it to select up to 5 photos and then use the Share button top left to attach them to an email

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I cannot send mails from my ipad, I have checked settings with my mail server and they tell me that everything is OK, they don't know what may be causing the problem, any ideas?

There is no way for anyone to know if your problem is identical to the problem reported by maria_diaz. She didn't mention anything about getting the "relaying" message. I suggest you start a new question that gives a good title to a specific problem. Then in the body of the thread describe the problem in detail, tell us what steps you have tried so far to correct the problem, what happened, and what error messages you received. -
I can't send mail from my iPad apps, I just get the error message, 'The recipient… was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.' Does anyone know what this means and how to fix the problem.

How do I stop my mail from send out my e-mails with the mobile me acct instead of my default provider? I have checked the "use only this server" in my provider account.
There is no such option/setting on an iPhone to determine this. Whether you can view the attachment has more to do with your connection, WiFi or cellular, and the size of the attachment than anything else. There will be a paperclip indicating the message includes an attachment regardless if downloaded with the message or not. When connected to the cellular network, if an attachment is below a designated size the attachment will be downloaded automatically. If over a certain size, you must select the attached file icon in the body of the message to download the attachment. The size limit varies by carrier/provider.

I am having a difficult time trying to send e-mails from my iPad 2? I have contacted my Telus server tech people and we have double checked all my settings. Everything is properly set! Checked with my Apple people and they say this is a common problem with my server, yet others with the same server don't seem to have a problem. They suggested that I open a Gmail account and infor my mail server(Telus) to route my mail through my Gmail account? Does thei make sense? Are ther any other solutions I might investigate?

If you are getting the "server rejected ..." message try this.
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails. Even if the information is listed as optional, enter the username and password anyway. -
Why is Outgoing mail from my iPad not appearing in Outlook 2010?
I have set my iPad to synch with my gmail account. In turn my gmail account downlaods and synchs with Outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 PS.
Everything works except that when I send mail from my iPad or reply to incoming mail from my iPad, my replies, whilst synchronising with my gmail account, and showing in the Sent folder in gmail, do not download to Outlook.
If I log into gmail (from my email or via Safari) and send mail direct from gmail these messagesshow in the Sent box and DO show in iPad gmail outbox and Outlook, though they show in the Outlook inbox!
So the only mail that gets stuck in gmail and won't download to Outlook is outgoing mail sent from gmail in my iPad.
I can work around this by sending a bcc to myself of every outgoing message I send from iPad. In this case the Send copy shows up in the Sent folder in gmail and does not download to Outleook but the bcc copy arrives in nthe Inbox in gmail and does download to Outlook. Its ugly but works.
A proper fix would be better - does anyone have any ideas?For Exchange GMail there is a way to set your iOS device to use a different "Send As" name than when using a computer. Unfortunately in your case, you can set your computer to send an alternate name but the iOS device can only send the default GMail name, which is the name associated with your account. Ideally, you would like your iOS device to use the alternate and let your computer use the default.
But if you want to play around with this ...
1- On the iOS device itself, use Safari to navigate to m.google.com/sync. You will have to log in at the prompt with your GMail account info.
2- Select the iOS device name (in case you have multiple iOS devices using Google sync).
3- Select "Enable 'Send Mail As' for this device" and Save the changes.
4- Using a computer, log into your GMail account and select Settings/ Accounts and Import, then at the "Send mail as" prompt select "edit info" (off to the right).
5- Change your outgoing name.
The name you specify in #5 will be used by your computer, but the iOS device will continue using the original (default) outgoing name. You can see why you need the opposite in your case, so unless you can change the default to be your wife's name and then set the alternate to be your name, I think you're out of luck. -

This may be a weird question but I'm lost here. I'm trying to send out a mass email and I want my jpg in the BODY of the email and not as an attachment. Sometimes it goes into the body and other times it will send as an attachment. Is there an obvious thing that I'm missing here? Or does it depend on how you save the RGB jpg file?
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.There are a couple different issues at play here.
First, there's the image in the e-mail. There are only two ways to do this, and one is to include it in the message as an attachment. Whether it is displayed inline (ie, displayed in the message itself) or as a separate attachment is entirely up to the e-mail client, and not all e-mail clients will be capable of displaying it as anything other than an attachment. It could also be displayed as a link to an image on a web site, but again, not all e-mail clients will be able to display it, and additionally there are trust issues, since linked images are often used by spammers to validate e-mail addresses. (If your e-mail client tries to load the image the spammer's database says is linked to your e-mail address, then they know they've got someone who opens spam and looks at it.)
So, there really isn't a perfect way to do what you want. You may be better off sending a text e-mail with a link to a web page for more information. Either that or hiring someone with the expertise to create an e-mail that will display correctly in a majority of e-mail clients.
Secondly, there's the issue of mass mailing. Note that most mail servers limit the number of people you can e-mail within a certain time period. (For example, see [Apple's documentation on the limits for their MobileMe servers|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2883].) Depending on the number of people you're trying to e-mail, this may prove to be a problem, which may mean that you're going to need to pay an e-mail marketing service to send those e-mails. You will, of course, want to choose a reputable one that will not engage in spamming. -

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and delete your email account.
Then tap Settings > Safari > and Tap Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
Now tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and re-enter your email account credentials.

I am trying to send a 3 minute video from my iPad through email or messaging. It isn't working. I don't really want to post it on YouTube. Any suggestions? Is there a special app I need to help me out?
