Send Page Section By Email 'instr' problem

Weird. I have a section of a page that is emailed with the Send Page Section By Email function.
Testing locally (XP Pro, IIS) mailer works flawlessly and with no problems. Uploaded onto my webhost (Win Server 2003) I am getting the following error:
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'instr'
/admin/dir/email-page.asp, line 0
Can't track the error as there is no "line 0" on the page.
Anyone have any experience with this?

while I don´t have any knowledge about the possible reasons (I could help if it were PHP and and Apache server), the fact that stuff works fine locally, but not on a remote server does usually indicate a server configuration that´s either flawed or doesn´t match ADDT´s system requirements (http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/addt/)
You also might try googling for "Invalid procedure call or argument: 'instr'" -- this returns lost of pages where this error message appears to be explained.
BTW, have all files residing in your locals site´s "includes" folder been uploaded to the remote server ?

Dear all,
the ABAP report SF_XSF_DEMO1 is a demo report which converts a certain smart form into HTML and then sends it as an email in html format.
Sending the email is possible without any problems but I am wondering about the email format.

I am not happy with the email layout as the Smart Form "SF_XSF_DEMO1" is designed in a different way.

(I would like to avoid having to send the Smart Form as PDF attachment...)

Hi Kristian,
When ever you send a smartform output as an HTML email, the system generates automatic style sheets which are not supported in many email clients such as Outlook 2007, hence you will face a formatting issue. We faced the same issue and had do it it like this:
Build a BSP page similar to the output which you want to send as an email. Now you can use the BSP URL to send the html email using cl_bcs class.

How do I send a page that I am viewing as a link with my default email program?

I have version 11.0.
I have tried to send page links via email groups that I belong to. It is now very difficult to get that link copied or pasted into a new document. This also includes plain text etc.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.
You should also read through [[Clipboard not working]] and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Clipboard_not_working article.

Sharing pages docs through email ?

When I choose "Share" the words "Send via email" are greyed out. How can I send pages documents through email using this feature?

The Share facility in Pages works just fine with normal OS X acceptible file names and content. As was previously mentioned, Apple has chosen to make the Pages Share menu categorical headings light grey. These headings, ”Send via Email,” and “Export,” are separators for the real items that immediately follow.
I have a Pages document open in front of me. I want to send it as an e-mail attachment. I choose the Share menu, and decide that under ”Send Via Email,” that I want a PDF attachment. The only confirmation of success is that Apple Mail launches a composition window with the open Pages document attached as a PDF. If you are using a different Mail User Agent than Apple Mail, this behavior will not likely happen.

Using talktalk and unable to send or reply to emails any solution?

Having just bought iPad and set up all passwords etc now. Finding unable to send or reply to emails no problem with receiving, just when I send, the message comes back that server does not recognise my address. I am with talktalk, don't know if the problem is with them. Any solutions that can be tried?

Send Page by Email

Hi there~ I have a large cf application with about 100 people
who use it regularly. Sometimes when they output a coldfusion
report, they decide to use the browser feature "Send page by
Email"; this inevitably results in an email to me as to why the
dynamic output of the report they see in their browser is not the
same as the html file they emailed to so and so.
It seems that the attached html file is the page minus any
variables that were sent to it; so it is never correct or just
missing. How do I correct this via programming; or if that is not
possible, how do I explain to my users why this ie feature will not
work with my dynamic pages.

I was merely suggesting a way for you to combat the problem.
You aren't going to be able to change how the browser
functions, so if you want the capability to email reports, you will
have to take a look at what you can control, IE your application.

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close.

Open the document, click Share in the Menu Bar > Send a Copy > Email > PDF is the safest but not easily edited on PC. You can choose Word if you know the person you are sending to has Microsoft Word.

I am trying to copy a whole page and then send it in an email. When I do this the pictures are just a bunch of letters. I tryed to download and save and it does the same thing. I think I need to save as RTF but I dont know how to do so..

To copy a page from Safari and send it from OS X 10.4.2 I just hit "Command-I" and the page comes up in Mail ready to address and send.

Is it possible to send a page as it is via mail to users. I have one page which has few reports and some graphs. I want to send the whole page as HTML to user Inbox, is that possible using APEX_MAIL.

This doesn't answer your question exactly, because I don't know how to send "a report" or "a graph" via email, but perhaps by looking at this you can work something out. This sends an email with page elements (not an URL to a page, but actual html stuff)

Send - "Page by Email" disabled for PDF document in IE

Hi,
We're currently running 10g reports, through 10g Application Server (Forms&Reports) and producing PDF documents that are displayed in Internet Explorer.
When viewing the report output the send "Page by Email" function is disabled. My outlook works fine and I've checked that my Email client is set to outlook in IE program settings.
Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do to enable the "Page by Email" function?
Note: I've also noticed that the View -> Source function is disabled.

Oh, before I forget View -> Source for a PDF document being disabled makes sence because its not a HTML document. PDF documents are viewable via a browser only with that to the downloadable pluggable com object that adobe (and other pdf reader software providers) provides us with.
