Send picture as sms

hi to all,
How can i send picture as sms in java.......i want to know its format ,size etc...i have jsms api......i dont know how to use them.......

Hi,
Yesterday I also sent my main iPhone (I have two) a Smiley from Messages in Mountain Lion via the iMessages service.
As I had left the phone at work I expected to see the smiley (pic on not) when I got to work.
However the Messages did not arrive until I got home this evening.
It was displayed as the text form of the one I sent (Messages had converted it to a pic at the computer end).
As I said before I am not in a position to test sending it via AIM and SMS.
I also spent time trying to grab the pic smiley in the Messages Chat window.
I had to highlight the particular balloon and then I managed to separately highlight the pic.
When I dragged it to the Desktop it became a text Clipping showing the colon dash and close parentheses
i.e. it is text and iChat or Messages just makes it look like a Pic.
However this does seem to compound the problem as you pointed out yesterday.
Why should "Smiley text" be sent  but regular text not.
I still favour the possibility that incoming and outgoing SMS messages are in fact going by different routes:-
Computer to iPhone  and the return messages iPhone to Computer.

  • Sending Picture in SMS Text

    Can you send picture via the SMS text messaging? If so. How? Thanks.

    It was a pretty HUGE disappointment to realize that the iPhone does not support MMS. I've paid $400 for this awesome piece of technology that can't do something that my old, beat to ****, $100 plain cellphone can--send/recieve a text message with an attached photo to/from another cellphone or iPhone. I did this routinely with my husband and friends and losing this capability is a drag. The iPhone has such a nice camera that I'd like to be able to capture nice photos and send them to friends and family--directly on their phone. And frankly I'd like to be able to receive photos. Please, Apple engineers, reconsider your stance on excluding MMS capability.

  • Treo 800w Sending Pics via SMS/MMS

    I recently changed from a Treo 700p (Palm OS) to Treo 800w (Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro) and have noticed that I can no longer send pictures via SMS.  When I click on send my only options are to send to up load to a MS space account or send via email, with the SMS option grayed out.  I really like the ability to do this. Does anyone know if this is just not possible or a way to do this?  I am on an unlimited Sprint plan.
    Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

    I contacted my sprint store to return my 800 and the manager who has the 800 walked me through how to do picturemail.
    Go to your sprint sowtware store on your phone then
    click on Free/demo
    then click picture mail application avialible now
    then download
    to send picture u must still go to pics and videos and then hit menu then select send picture mail and then menu agian and select contacs  and go ahead picture mail away
    ive tried it and it works fine  I know this works with my print treo i dont know about other service providers
    I hope this helps with the frustrations

  • How to send picture message using J2ME sms APIs?

    Hi,
    I experiment with SMS APIs, i successfully send simple text message. now i want to send picture message, how to send picture message using J2ME APIs.
    please guide me.
    guna.

    I experienced in coding sending and receiving sms in J2ME. Besides, I also esperienced in coding reading a binary file in a applicaition jar. But I never done these both together. Hence Im not sure it works or not. Below is the example to open and read a binary file:
    InputStream oInputStream = getClass().getResourceAsStream( "/picture.png" );
    if(oInputStream == null) {
    //File does not exist;
    throw new Exception("File not found");
    //Read the binary file and copy it to a byte array
    byte[] abyPicture = new byte[oInputStream.available()];
    oInputStream.read(abyPicture );

  • I have an iphone 3gs and i cant get it to send picture messages to anyone without an iphone? i already checked to make sure my sms setting is on and it is.

    I just bought a used iphone 3gs, (very new to the smart phone thing), and i set the phone up as a straight talk phone. I can send picture messages to other iphones but not to anyone else? I already made sure that my sms setting is on and it is, so is my imessage , mms and group message. anyone with any advise would be greatly appreciated

    More than likely the problem is with the provider. You will need to check with them to find out what settings need to be on the phone to support MMS. You need to contact Straight Talk. SMS and MMS are carrier functions. The only settings on the phone are the ones you have mentioned, with the exception of APN settings, which are generally taken care of by the phone's carrier settings. I'm not aware of a carrier file for Straight Talk.

    Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

    Hey lozza567,
    Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues sending MMS messages. The following resource may provide a solution:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
    Issues with sending and receiving MMS
    You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    - An iPhone 3G or later.
    - iOS 3.1 or later.
    - A cellular data connection. MMS isn't available if you are using only Wi-Fi.
    - A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You may need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information.
    - A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network different from your billing cellular provider's network. Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.
    To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps first
    1. Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
    3. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
    4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you are roaming on a cellular provider network different from your billing provider's network.
    5. Verify that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar at the top left of your iPhone.
    6. Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
    7. Verify that you can send and receive SMS. If you are unable to send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above.
    8. MMS may not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    9. Restart your iPhone.
    10. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
    11. Reseat your SIM card.
    If you are still unable to send or receive MMS, follow these steps
    1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you are sending a group message.
    3. Make sure that you are using the area code with the contact's phone number. When sending messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
    4. Verify a "Pay as you go" MMS plan has enough available balance. Contact your carrier if unsure of your MMS plan or available balance.
    5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
    6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
    7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.
    8. If your carrier has recently ported your phone number, the porting process may not be complete. Contact your carrier to confirm that the porting process is complete.
    9. Contact your carrier to verify that you are provisioned to send SMS and are in an area with cellular coverage.
    10. Contact your carrier to verify that there are no blocks or filters placed on your wireless account preventing you from sending SMS.
    11. Your carrier may require APN settings to be modified to use MMS. Learn more about when you should adjust APN settings.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • TS2755 I am not able to send pictures to one of my contacts. I can for all others.

    I am not able to send pictures to one of my contacts. I can for all others. Can someone explain why that could be happening?

    Perhaps that recipient does not have MMS texting as part of their cell service.  They may only have SMS texting which does not support pictures.

  • IPhone Sending Pictures question

    I have a iPhone 3G, and I downloaded the 3.0 update, and I know you said we can't send pictures yet but I was looking at the pictures on the website of the new updated iPhone, and it shows there is a picture of a little camera on the bottom left corner of your message screen that you can click on. Am I supposed to have that now? because I dont

    This is a user to user help forum only. You are not addressing Apple here.
    AT&T will not have MMS available for the 3G and 3GS until later this summer so there is no reason to have a camera with the iPhone's SMS client at the present time. More than likely this will be made available with a firmware update or with an AT&T carrier update for the iPhone via iTunes when AT&T has MMS available for the iPhone later this summer as announced.

  • How do I send pictures from iphoto to a group via email instead of to just one individual? I can't type in more than one name or send the pictures to a group.

    I had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage.  Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever.  After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed.  They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself.  After that, the pics go over imessage.  My own Iphone didn't have the problem.  We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

  • Can I prevent iMessage sending pictures as a costly text message?

    Hi, when I send a picture message to someone with an iPhone 4s who doesn't have wi fi on, the message goes as a text message. This is fine for normal text messages but pictures are expensive to send. Is there any way to set it so it sends normal text messages if the receiver has no wi fi but never sends picture messages as text? Thanks

    No. Sorry. You can disable send as SMS, which should prevent it from sending anything at all if the receiver has iMessage disabled or has no data connection.

  • Iphone5 cannot send Pictures with Texts?

    Have had my iphone5 for 3 months, have tried to send Pictures with my Texts, but failed. No problem sending pictures with e.mails or Facebook?

    If MMS is turned on in settings, & you can send/receive SMS's, 99.9% of the time, the problem rests with your carrier, not your phone. Contact your carrier & insure that MMS is properly provisioned on your account. If they tell you everything looks OK, have them re-provision MMS on your account.
