Send print Request - Salary Statement

Hi,
Does anyone have any information on this button. Where is it configured, how does it send print requests, can it be changes(send to different location) and what roles does the user require.

Yep, definitely possible with EP7 and ECC6.
You need a portal role that gives you access to the Content Administration menu.
Easiest if your portal user ID is linked to an employee with payroll results in ECC (via Infotype 0105).
Open the payslip iView in the Portal Content Studio and click the preview button.
Ctrl + right click on the print button, set the Invisible flag to Yes.
Apply the change, close the personalisation dialogue, save the iView and you're done.
You'll notice after making any personalisation changes that some new entries appear in the iView properties, this is how global personalisation changes are stored. The changes then get exported with the object to your other portal systems

'Send Print Request' button can send paystub output to R/3 print spool:
When I clicked on send print request, I expected a printout to my default printer but didnt get one. If the dialog user has the 'print immediate' option turned off, their paystub will spool up in R/3. When a user clicks on the printer ICON within Adobe, they get to choose their printer and know that it will go straight to the printer. This could be confusing to R/3 dialog users.
Any solution,How to change the option from spool to print immediate.

Prevent User printing the salary statement - or use pin/tan controls

Hi everybody,
we've implemented the BP ESS 1.0 for ERP 6.0. The Salary Statement Services works fine. Now we are looking for a possibility to assure that only the user itself gets to know the salary statement if the PDF is transmitted to the network printer.
Does anyone has an idea - supress the print button of the Adobe Reader or use a PIN / TAN control at the printer/ copier?

Good luck on that! You are never going to be able to completely insure against stupidity. If someone leaves their salary statement on a printer, prints and forgets, whatever, how will you solve that with a technology solution? For every solution you come up with, there will be a workaround. For example, you won't to suppress/disable the "print" function? Fine...If it were me,I would just "print screen", paste it to paint, and print from there.....see? What about folks that don't print or you supress but they leave their monitor up as they step out for lunch/meeting? What then? You can really only do all you can possibly handle anything up to and including "your side". There is some security you can put into the form....digital signature, password protect, etc....the real problem you will have/find is making sure the file is not cached anywhere....not on the backend server, not on the printer and not on the user's own machine. Again, that's even more "fun" to figure out.

Sharing an Apple ID is never recommended for these reasons.
They can create their own: http://appleid.apple.com and you can add them at the addresses they use for their ID.
Sharing an Apple ID is not recommended because all of your data gets merged and when it gets deleted from one device, it deletes from them all, such as Contacts.

Print Option in the Salary Statement. What is the Default Printer ?

First off im new to the whole SAP ESS / NetWeaver theme and try to get a grasp of it.
Along the way one of my Collaegues asked me to find out about the Printing option in the Salary Statement of our ESS Portal.
I have been searching the Web quite some time now and hope to find the answer here.
The only thing I found was this Thread ...
configuring printers in portal
... but this couldn't answer my question to the extent i hoped.
My Collaegue told me that we are using a Web Dynpro iVew to show the Salary Statement,
and that you will get a Message stating : "Document is been Printed" as soon as you hit the Print Document Button.
But the Document never showed up wether on the Local Windows printer nor on the SAP printer spool.
We are guessing that the Document is send to SAP and then waiting to be Printed,
but we can't find it in the spool of the coresponding Server.
We are using a 3 Layer System with a Server wich is running SAP ("PHR")
a Server wich is running the JAVA Apps. ("PP1") and the Desktop PC of the User.
We think that if the User triggers the Print the Java Apps Server hands down the command to the SAP server
wich then saves the file and stats in the ESS page "Waiting for Print to start".
But we cant find this file anywhere in the spool of the SAP Server.
We are running SAP 6.4 Enhanchmend Package 1 on the PHR.
On the PP1 we are running an SAP Netweaver 7.0.
The Desktop PCs are running on Windows XP SP2 with IE 7.
As i said im new to the whole theme and can not differentiate wich of the infos you need and wich you don't.
So i try to give as much as Possible but can only explain the problem to you the way my Collaegue's explained to me.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I gather you would like to learn how to reverse the print order when sending a multiple page documents to your Deskjet 2545 Ink Advantage printer.
I have included a document on print settings using Windows 8. In the section titled "Change print settings from the Windows 8 Desktop" there is a sub-section titled "Understanding Desktop print settings". It explains the various options available and one of them is the page order of the print job.
You mentioned that you have a Laserjet 9050. That is a commercial product so to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums. You can do this at the link below.

we are not using GLM + and I am not sure about the technqiue used there to handle load balancing. Regarding general WWI setup I assume you know this Note: EH&amp;S: Availability and performance of WWI and Expert servers

The load balancing of synchron WWi servers is donein the "RFC" layer, therefore you have no inffluence here, for asynchron WWI servers you can do a lot to manage the WWI load balancing by using "exits" etc.

Adobe Creative Cloud connectivity issue on Websense run network; Failed to send the request to server to get the response - 12002

I am able to install the Windows Adobe Creative Cloud application fine on Windows 7 box but the application fails to establish a connection with Adobe server/-s.
We use a proxy with Websense as our network security solution. Proxy configuration script is set in Internet Options. We have not tried to whitelist anything as per http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/proxy-authentication-support-creative-cloud.html as the errors suggest the application does not even connect to the proxy server/Websense at all.
Please see below snippet from that DLM.log file that contains the error messages - please have a look. Could anybody tell me what it means or advise how to resolve this please? I don't see the Adobe Creative Cloud tool to have any options where manual proxy settings can be setup to try that.

Salary Statement in ESS is not getting displayed

          When i am trying to get the salary statement from R/3 to portal this error is getting displayed.
               Where as from the R/3 side we have a customaised HRFORM called ZOBT, it is generating report in R/3 where as it is not refelecting in PORTAL, its displaying error message as:

Go to the transaction : PC00_M40_CLSTR
here 40 stands for India. Assign the Molga number as per the country code of your payroll.
Check if the pay roll has been run till the current period or not.

I can no longer print to the 3 Canon printers on my local area network. The print dialog box states that the print file is accepted and the job is printing, but the files never print. Everything worked when the computer and printers were initially set up.

I can't help with the scan/print problem. You seem to have done everything I would try.

Recently, I've been having these problems where the Printer is not responding for my requests to print on my HP Windows 8 Laptop for a PDF File. I had a message where it said that "Printer is in error state" but didn't get that message after I tried printing again. Now my printer is not responding to any print requests though the touch screen still works and is saying that the wireless is still working. If anyone could help me that would be great!

I see that you are having a problem printing from Windows 8.
See if you can print a self-test page or Printer status report from the printer itself. This will test the hardware functionality for the printer. If it does print, then it's a connection issue. If it does not print out, then we will need to try to deal with the hardware problems of the printer.
Run the print and scan doctor and check the results.

This works fine as long as we don't push the select list for report pagination.
Do we have any possiblities to send a request when we select another rowrange from the pagination select list?
At the moment we don't get a request after selecting a new pagination.
The result is that after the pagination there is no region displayed.

Ulrike - For reasons like this, it's best not to use REQUEST to control page rendering behavior. Passing an item value so that it stays in session state gives you more flexibility, e.g., P1_SHOW_REPORT:YES.

Gaurav, the NullPointerException is common error, mostly caused by bad information in master data or any missing customizing.
I suggest you first check this application with another users to discard errors in master data.
Next, check the customizing for salary statement; are you maintaining HRFOR feature? If you're using HRFORM, check if Form is active in HRFORMS transaction.
Then please tell us if you solved the issue.

Internal error in Salary Statement service

Someone can help with this issue. We are not able to get the payslip. In R3, we use a form created with PE51 and we have a variant for this. I already updated feature EDTIN with the variant name and HRFOR with $CEDT$ for C ESS.

Problems in SAP Portal while salary statement process is running

Hi SAP Experts,
while the salary statement process user were blocked in the ERP system because no data changes may be possible.
When a User has already logged in to the Portal first it seems he could navigate without problems but when he try to send informations to the system he get strange errors and aborts. This causes error calls for the general helpdesk and the HR support team and they have to find out what is a real error and what is a error due the blocking of the users.Because of time delays while the helpdesk forward the error calls to the HR Support Team there is no combination to the salary statement process so the Support team deals with invalid error calls...
This makes work not easier. So I am looking for a better solution.
How do you handle with salary statement process and blocking users? Is there any workaround?
