Send print spool to different system

Dear Expert,
Due to user authorization constrain, I would like to generate a report from another system, and the report will be saved in another system.
Say,
System A execute RFC to system B to generate a report, ie. the report is executed in system B,
but the print spool of the report is in system A.
Is this possible ?

Hi Friends,
there is problem with purchase order print priview and spool print output are different.
mean : in me23n .. for a perticular po .. in po priview one amount value is 120 coming..
when i am giving print with spool.. the amount value is showing
is 443..why it is showing wrong..

make this setting change:
in SPAD > In the menu Settings -> Spool System
In the others tab check the first check box in the Output Controller block, SAVE and exit

Received error 1920 service print spooler failed to start verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services

In installing Adobe XI Pro this error message was received "error 1920 service print spooler failed to start verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services". What does this mean and how can I get this installed?

It very much means what it says - you do not have sufficient administrative privileges and something on your system is blocking the (virtual) PDF printer driver from being installed.

When I clicked on send print request, I expected a printout to my default printer but didnt get one. If the dialog user has the 'print immediate' option turned off, their paystub will spool up in R/3. When a user clicks on the printer ICON within Adobe, they get to choose their printer and know that it will go straight to the printer. This could be confusing to R/3 dialog users.
Any solution,How to change the option from spool to print immediate.

but the valiadtions are happening in standard functional module PRICING.
it is realted script(medruck)...but there is no code point for spool or printer side..
and the issue is realted one PO OUTPUT TYPE..
it is sap standard debugging... when i am debugging the functional module PRICING.
the values are coming dynammically.

I need help to send idocs from 1 client to another , both in different systems

I am new to Idoc. I am trying to use idoc to send some table records of a custom table created in client 800 to client 020, both clients are in different systems.
I found examples of same scenario but for both clients in same system..
what changes should I make then to be able to send idoc .

Error Sending proxy from 2 different business system to PI

Hi All,
We are trying to send the proxy to XI system from 2 different business systems. One is ECC and other is POSDM, It is successfully sent from ECC but when sending the same from POSDM we are getting following error
"An error occurred when determining the business system (LD_ERROR)"
We checked the RFC SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC they are in place. We have also created the type H connection from POSDM pointing to PI and from PI pointing to POSDM.
And the In sxmb_adm of POSDM system the role is maintained as Application System and IS_URL parameter is pointing to PI, but still we are getting same error.
Could you all experts please provide you valuable input why this error is coming and how to resolve this?

Hi Soni,
check your config in sxmb_adm > Integration Engine Configuration. Also run S_BCE_68001402 and check for locked users.
Try refreshing the cache in SXI_CACHE in that system.
Check if u r executing the report in the same client in which u have done all the settings.
Also make sure that u have included the commit work statement after the Execute Asynchronous method call.

Hi Christoph,
but it is possible that the email for user from System B is also available in the system itself(transaction so01) and not only in his outlook inbox?
As the email is sent from System A. It will be available under SOST of system A.
As user in System B is receiving the email, it will be appearing in users inbox.
Check with Mail server administrator on where to enable SMTP relaying for IP address of SAP server.

Msg print spooler sub system app has encountered a problem and needs to close. how to fix.

don' know how to correct print spooler problem. Using XP Pro & HP Officejet Pro All in One L7590. Nothing new on computer. Will not print standard data either, but did print the test print from HP. Details are "sz App name: spoolsv.exe, sz App ver: 5.1.2600.6024; sz Mod name: hpz3r58a.dll, sz Mod Ver: 61.63.263.23, offset: 00104a8d. Have also had msg "need to install printer, but all printers on control panel are "ready". Tried HP diagnostic. Am not technically experienced but have been using computer for years.

Printing ZPL (Zebra) data to printer spooler without character conversion

Hi all,
We are printing shipping labels from UPS, with a process where we recive the ZPL label code directly from UPS, and we just need to pass the data to the printer to get the labels. We have already implemented this with Fedex and some custom labels, and it works perfectly. The problem with the UPS label data is that it contains non-printable characters (in the MaxiCode data field). When passed to the SAP printer spooler (see code example below), the data gets corrupted because SAP interprets these non-printable characters as printer control codes.
I have verified this by saving the ZPL data to a local file, before printing it through the SAP spooler. I then print this raw data and compare the output with the labels printed from the spooler. The MaxiCode (the big 2D barcode) is different in these labels. UPS has also tested the labels, and rejected them because of incorrect data in the barcode.
For printing, we are using printers defined as type "PLAIN", but I also tried using the "LZEB2" device type with the same result. The error we see in the spooler entry is this:
Print ctrl S_0D_ is not defined for this printer. Page 1, line 2, col. 2201
Print output may not be as intended
The printer ctrl code differs, depending om the label. I have examined the spooler data in "raw" mode, and there is always an ASCII character 28 (hex 1C) in front of the characters that SAP think are control codes, and this is why I think these non-printable characters are the reason for the problems.
This is the function module I use to print the ZPL data (and as stated above, this works fine for Fedex and custom labels). The ZPL data is converted to binary format before passed to the function module, but I also tried to send the data in text format with another FM, but the result is the same. I have experimented with the "codepage" parameter, and this one gives the least amount of errors, and some labels actually get through without errors. But still at least 50% of the labels gets corrupted, with log entries like above.

I do a more direct output to the spooler, to avoid any issues with the WRITE statement and SAP's report output processing. At the same time, I insert line breaks so that the output is easy to debug in the spooler if needed. Also included is the code to to detect the escape code (ASCII #28) and to insert a control code ZZUPS in its place (you can skip this for Fedex). Here's a simplified example, but please note this is for a Unicode system, some minor changes is required in a non-Unicode system.

Jobs stay in queue and keep printing until you cancel them--then stops the print spooler...why?

My Printer: HP Photosmart C309a
My Laptop: HP G71 series
Operating System: Windows 7 (64 bit) but runs a lot of stuff on 32 bit
Problem: I print ONE copy of a multiple page document in Adobe Reader 9. I select even pages only (after which I would reinsert the pages and tell it to print odd pages only, to get the other side). The printer makes a sound indicating the job is finished, I remove my pages to collate them, and then the printer continues to print the job again without so much as a keystroke.
Naturally, you find the printer in the devices on the control panel, click "see what's printing" and highlight the job and cancel it.
Then somehow it turns off my print spooler.
I have tried everything suggested on other forums, like
restart the laptop/restart the printer
going to c\windows\system32\spool\printers and deleting whatever is hung up in there (usually a shockwave file).
Going to Services\print spooler \properties and making sure the settings are set to automatic
Uninstall\reinstall latest driver and software
Switching from Adobe Reader 10 to Adobe Reader 9
Use System Restore to try to reset the system to a previous state.
Run Trend Micro to check for viruses and spyware--nothing shows up.
I am positive the pdf doc is NOT the problem, because I can print it on my husband's laptop multiple times over with no problems.
Does anyone have this problem as well? Has anyone found a genuine solution other than manually canceling print jobs in queue and constantly restarting the print spooler?

What's the current printer software version installed in your laptop computer?!
to see: click start>control panel>uninstall a program under Programs then it will tell you the software version like HP Photosmart c309a v13 or v14.
If the software version is v13, click here to download and install the current software.
IF all things still fail, try to use the workaround provided by HP in this link. It says:

Your HP printing product can operate sufficiently using an alternate print driver, although there might be some limitations. For instance, some buttons on the product control panel might not function, but the product prints normally from the computer. If the solutions in this document do not solve the issue, download and install an alternate print driver.

Click the Name drop-down menu, and then select HP Deskjet 990c .

the pdf_table coming from'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF'...... i tried this option iam able to open and it is just giving message which i kept before this FM i.e WRITE : 'hi this is the test for spool'.

Case 1) .i wanted all the 10 fields in PDF to be displayed without truncated , I have checked in Spool ........ i found all the fields are there .....but however when i check the downloaed PDF i can see some fields are getting truncated.
Case 2) However if on the ALV output if the user hides 2 fields out of 10 fields then only 8 feilds which are appearing on the output before sending the Spool should only be displayed in PDF as well -

Yep, definitely possible with EP7 and ECC6.
You need a portal role that gives you access to the Content Administration menu.
Easiest if your portal user ID is linked to an employee with payroll results in ECC (via Infotype 0105).
Open the payslip iView in the Portal Content Studio and click the preview button.
Ctrl + right click on the print button, set the Invisible flag to Yes.
Apply the change, close the personalisation dialogue, save the iView and you're done.
You'll notice after making any personalisation changes that some new entries appear in the iView properties, this is how global personalisation changes are stored. The changes then get exported with the object to your other portal systems

Difference in printer spooling between 2 similar macs

I'm trying to figure out why there is a difference in how my 2 Macs spool a print file.
Sending the same large (276mb) Photoshop file to the same printer (Epson 11880) connected directly (no print server)on same hardwired network using Bonjour, using the same driver version (3.89) and same PPD version (1.0) using the exact same settings within the driver, the file gets handled differently within the spool application.
Here are the two computers, their specs and what happens.
*Comp 1*
Power Mac G5 \ Dual 2.0 \ 6 GB Ram \ OS X 10.4.11
File takes approx 30 mins to leave photoshop. Once printer spooler opens it "processors" entire file (approx 10mins), then "spools" to printer and the printer starts to print.
*Comp 2*
Power Mac G5 \ Dual 1.8 \ 4 GB Ram \ OS X 10.4.11
File take approx 20 mins to leave photoshop. Once printer spooler opens it begins to print pretty much right away and I assume is "processing" while "spooling"
So, the slower computer prints the file faster :/

I have read so many conflicting answers to how necessary it is to "de-frag" these drives, what's your take on this ?
It's reported that OSX defrags itself over time, but only on files over a certain size, (20 MB?).
With as much free space as you have, it's not all that important to defrag. That being said, I'm a tinkering freak, and whenever I defrag, I see improved performance, but a lot of it has to do with my slower drives & Macs, SATA shows less improvement by defraging. If you get less than 20% free space Degragging will have more effect, but for a short time of course.

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files!
