First thing to do is configure SAP Connect to send SMS and mails..

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where in I have to send SMS as a part of an escalation workflow process.I wanted to ask to the forum as to what is the best approach to send sms from workflow.The information regarding the users and the numbers is to come from a table.So how do I integrating the workflow with the SMS.

Have you checked this function module as i suggested previously.
Function Module--TELEPHONE_FROM_TO
Since configuration is not done in our system i cant test this function module
In this function module they have used this table TSP01
The fields are
RQTELELAN--country
RQTELENUMTelecommunications partnerfrom
RQTELENUMETelecommunications partnerto
Function Module--TELEPHONE_FROM_TO

When you are entering the telephone number you have give prefix country code ( for US it is 011) and at the end of the number you have to give the to country code that is ( for IN it is 91).

I have reffered some material on internet for Extended Notiification.
I have created a custom catagory ZSENDSMS IN SWNCONFIG, and also delivery schedule ,subscription basic data.
I have also done setting in SCOT,SICF AS PER DESCRIBED.
BUT i am still not able to send sms.

Send SMS as Notification

Dear All,
I want to send SMS as Notification from the portal.
For this I went to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Universal Worklist -> Workflow -> Workflow Notification Settings. I tried to add new Notification Setting there. But the SMS Option was not available in the dropdown.
I ve configured the channel, Channel Originator & the Notification Settings from System Administration -> System Configuration-> KM -> Content Mangemenet -> Utilities & System Administration -> System Configuration -> Content Management -> Notification Service.
We are using EP7.0 SP10.
Can any let me know what else needs to be done for configuring SMS as notification.
If possible can anyone provide any help documents on this.

A workflow is sending the same email notification twice

A workflow is sending the same email notification twice. Not every notification, but this happening only a few times randomly. The double sent emails are arriving together , have the same date and time.
I've checked the workflow and found that there is no double sending command in the workflow, and the workflow history also shows just 1 run and 1 email sending.
Can somebody help me on this.

For troubleshooting your issue, you can take steps as below:
1.Increasing the UserDefinedWorkflowMaximumComplexity to 30000 setting using Powershell script
2.IISRESET
3.Adding <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="51200" executionTimeout="3600" /> in web.config. Yes, that is "3600" unlike "300" suggested. Please note that there are multiple lines in web.config with <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="51200">.
I made this change only in the very first one.
4.IISRESET
5.Removed everything from C:\Users\<userName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebsiteCache from my laptop
6.Removed everything from C:\Users\<userName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache from my laptop
7.Removed everything from C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SharePoint Designer\ProxyAssemblyCache\ from my laptop
8.IISRESET
9.Restart SharePoint 2013 Designer

Workflow notification are not sending to employee

We have created New type in Special information which access by SSHR,In this page in sshr employee enter their information and send to manager for approval,while submiting system shoud be generated two notification one for requester and other for supervisor,but the requestor notification are not sending while supervisor is woking fine,so how can i rectify what the exact prolem with requestor notification,

The workflow notification back to the requestor is just an FYI notification. When the Workflow Mailer emails a copy of the FYI notification it automatically closes the workflow notification.
Could it be that this is happening? Try this:
1) Login as the Requestor and access their Worklist
2) Change the view to see 'Closed' Notifications
3) Do you see the notification in the list of closed notifications?
If so, try temporarily disabling the Workflow Mailer so that no email copies are sent and then repeat the SIT request. Does the requestor now see that notification in their 'Open' notifications?

We are using Oracle E-Business Suit R12. It happens few times that Workflow Notification Mailer fails (unknown reason), thus stopping all the upcoming alerts.
1). Please tell me if there is way to identify those unknown reasons?
2). Secondly is there any way that before Workflow Notification Mailer fails generate an alert on just before failure?

How to send workflow notification from a custom form in R11i

Hi Gurus,
We have a custom module to evaluate vendors, which has 2 custom forms viz Evaluate form and Approve form, user will evaluate the vendor and submits the same for approval, and when submitted for approval(Submit button) a mail is being sent to the employees supervisor using UTL_MAIL.SEND informing him to approve.
And now client wants to send workflow notification upon submitting for approval. As Iam very much new to workflow I need your valuable guidance and suggestions.

Thanks for your response. It was a simple sent mail step. So I send it directly to the e-mail id of the same user. Simple thing clicked to my mind little late.

Sending Workflow notification with OAF page link through PL/SQL

I have a requirement where I want to send a FYI notification to a user.
And I have to add a link to my OAF screen in this workflow notification.
Please let me know if i have to create a workflow for this or can this be done by calling some workflow api.

Try by defining the message attribute holding the link to the framework region. Then, once the notification has been created (sent) call WF_NOTIFICATIONS.SetAttrText to set the value of the region in that attribute value.

We have a requirement where a CSV attachment sent through a workflow notification has to be password controlled.
The password will be communicated to the recepient through a seperate notification.
