Send SMS from SAP

Hi,
I´m very confused with the several threads, and notes about the setting SMS from SAP to Cellulars.
If I want to configure the sending of sms from SAP, I´ve to declare the NODE with HTTP? Or can to setup as SMTP?
If I setting the node with HTTP, I´ve to use my smsprovider, that is not mandatory what my own company mobile,not?

Well its very much possible to sent out sms from SAP System and you need to configure the system according to SAP Setting provided in below 02 SAPnotes.

there is a standard webservice globally available called Send SMS and you can consume that webservice with the help of CAF and you can send PO number as SMS, If the standard webservice do not work then you have to create your own webservice to fulfill the functionality.

SCOT does indeed send mails, but if your mailserver is capable to send SMS , then scot can help you via smtp, another option is to use http :

Sending SMS from SAP

Hi Experts,
I have requirement where i need to send SMS to the client whenever their request has been responded.
For Ex: If the user requesting for some upgrade from the current Plan of their mobile.(From Prepaid to Postpaid)
if request has been responded they should be intimated through SMS from SAP.
Is there any interface for that?
Kindly throw some light on this issue.

Actually i do not have idea on this. But i got the below information from one of the web site related to SAP. It may helpful to you.
You could create dataset in application server with
certain format, ex. : Hp-id Message ( 9999-999999Hello ),
then you could use external command via FM
RSPX_COMMAND_EXECUTE to execute the external command.
The external command we used was Unix external command.
This external command will take the dataset data you
created and send the SMS.
Cooperate with your Basis expert.

I am not sure where to start since my understanding is quite limited in this area. I have a requirement to send SMS type messages to customer cell phones with a message generated from within ERP. I have done this inthe past by sending an email in the form "phoneNumber@somedomain" However, this case is differnt since like a true moblile-to-mobile message I will not know the domain/provider. Only the phone number will be known. Is there some web service that can be called that routes the message to the correct phone? Is this a web business that we will need to subscribe to? If so, can someonw share some options? Am I way off base?

Cannot Send Email from SAP Business One

Hi Experts
I have configured SAP Email Services from the Mailer Service and Customer can send emails all the while,
Now I have an Issue for One User,
Iam using the Same Machine, Same Database with Manager Login, I can send Email from SAP with Attachments
But When I use another Super user the system is not delivering the Email and it Goes to the Sent box (but not delivered)
Have anyone encountered the Issue before

If the email can be found in Sent box, it must be delivered already.
The problem could be on the email recipient side. It may go to the junk mail.

I would like to send email from SAP to external SMTP server using authenticated method.
Can I set up this scenario with SAPConnect?

You dont need anu authentication to be set :
Just follow below steps :
Simple steps to do the SMTP configuration :
1. Use transaction SCOT
3. Double Click on SMTP
4. You will get a window and fill in description
5. Tick the "Node in use" box
6. Enter the hostname of the email exchange server
7. Mail port will be 25
8. Click on the button next to Internet called "Set"
9. You will get another window, in the "address area" box, enter *
10. Click the green check button to exit the second window
11. Click the green check button to exit the main window
12. From top menu: Settings -> Default Domain
13. in the small box that appears enter the domain name which is the last part after the @ sign. The domain name would be company.com
14. You need to define a job to process the email, from top menu: View -> Jobs
15. From top menu: Job -> Create
16. Enter a name
17. Click on "INT" in the list then "Schedule job" button
18. Enter start date and time, then click on "Schedule Periodically" button
19. Enter something like every 10 minutes.
20. the configuration is now complete. To test it, you need to have an email defined in your user id properties. Use SU01 for that.
21. Use transaction SO00
22. Put Title, and text in the body, then enter your email address below, the recepient type would be "internet address"
23. After a maximum of 10 minutes you should get the email address.

i want to send sms from gsm modem to a j2me application, for this to happen i have to send sms to a specific port in which j2me application is running.when i m trying to send sms from modem it doesnt go to application it goes to inbox.
is it related to udh settings if yes then how do i set port no in settings?if no what are the other ways.

Might be you can call ActiveX or DLL objects of the software installed for modem from LabVIEW, if it is unblocked.

Error while sending mail from SAP

Hello All,
Recently we are facing an error while sending mail from SAP. When we try to compose a message ,it is moving to a dump error RAISE_EXCEPTION.
The details from ST22,
Short text
    Exception condition "FOLDER_NOT_EXIST" raised.
Error analysis
    A RAISE statement in the program "SA
    condition "FOLDER_NOT_EXIST".
    Since the exception was not intercep
    program, processing was terminated.

Actually, I performed the following two steps in order to solve the issue:
- In transaction SICF, the node for SAPConnect must be active. In our system, this node was in inactive state. Hence I activated it.
- Then In transaction SCOT-> Settings menu--> default domain should be 'xyz.com' if the email addresses in your company are maintained with a suffix xyz.com.
But for me the problem didnt get solved here..
The problem that i am facing now is that if in my user profile, I have the email address maintained, then i get an error saying 'Sender address rejected'. However, if i goto transaction SU01 and clear the email id, the mail is successfully sent to outer world.
You can try the above mentioned two steps using SICF and SCOT. If the problem does not get solved then try clearing the mail id in ur user profile.

I am blocked by the below problem.
I am trying to send email from SAP to an external email ID. I have tried using Class approach as well as the function 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' for the same.
Everytime i get the following message:
Internal error: CL_SMTP_RESPONSE ESMTP error code is not known. 554 554 <email address> Sender address rejected.
I am not at all able to figure out why this type of error is coming.
The same code is working on the development environment but not on the test system.
Please reply back asap as i am completely blocked due to this.
