what is the problem? every time I turn off the PC and back to light. bluetooth icon disappears from the context menu.
I add it manually and restart reappears so
install the latest driver for bluetooth

when the "Bluetooth Sento Bluetooth" wordings disappeared, you cannot use your bluetooth?
Which OS are you using??
What kind of bluetooh device are you using??
Did you try to plug again the card and make sure that the device is properly attached to the system??

I have several dropdown lists in my bookmarks toolbar and would like to access the properties for some of the the items. This used to work fine. However, now, when I go to the list and place the cursor on a particular item, the context menu that is usually available on a right click disappears when I try to access one of the options. This is the menu that begins with Open. What can I do to regain this functionality? I really need the information in the Properties section. I'm using Firefox 3.6.8

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.

File context menu disappears (in shared folder, if some files in it are bein modified)

The problem is:
When I'm in Windows Explorer in shared folder on network drive (SMB), trying to open context menu for any file in this folder, it will show and then disappear in ~1 second, so I can't have time to select item in context menu, especially in any sub-menu!
It only happens if:
1) some (another) file is downloading in that moment to THIS shared foolder
2) some (another) file is editing by another user in that moment, or some log is writing by some software in that folder,
or archive is unpacking in that folder
and so on..

Please remove that network drive completely, and then follow below guide to re-map it for test:

Bluetooth Context Menu

This one appeared in 10.5.6 and I was surprised when it was still there in 10.5.7.
When I right-click on a file in Finder, and select "More", where the "Send File To Device" option used to be there is instead "kSendFileToDevice" - looks like somebody's quoted the name of a constant in the source, rather than just leaving it as a constant.
This is part of a large puzzle though. I have no Bluetooth devices. I have Bluetooth turned off. Yet still I get this option. Wouldn't it make sense for this to at least be greyed out in the Finder when Bluetooth is disabled?
Apologies if this one's appeared before. I don't expect there to be anything much I can do, but I'm now feeling guilty that I didn't post it before 10.5.7 came out and just assumed somebody else would see and report it.

Context Menu disappeared after EP7 upgrade

Hi all,
We've recently upgraded our sandbox and dev portals to EP7. Since then, we've noticed that in KM, the context menus that should be located to the right of the files/folders is missing. Actually, it would be more appropriate to say that they're invisible rather than missing because if I hover my mouse over the area where it should be, the mouse pointer changes. If I click on this area, the menu comes up.
Has anyone seen this problem before? What do I need to do to fix it?

Hi Stephen,
if you upgraded from EP6, please reimport old EP6 theme into EP7.
I and others had corrupted theme after the upgrade from EP6 to EP7.
The major bug is all web dynpros don't load ok.
Give this a try before modifying your theme.

Windows Explorer folder context menu crash

Hello, On a PC running Windows 7x64 Ultimate, Windows Explorer closes with a
"Windows Explorer has stopped working" message, and needs to be restarted.
It quits when I right click on a folder, while right clicking on a file doesn't cause it
to quit. So far I've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling graphics drivers, SVC scan, malware scans, virus scan,
hijack this, safe mode, clean boot, shexview, shmnview, reliability monitor, and event
viewer. I could use some help with what shell extensions to modify, if that is
even the problem. Thanks

In addition to above suggestions, please help to collect crash dump file for explorer.exe, let's see what exacted file cause your issue:
First enable app crash dump collection by copying following words into notepad, saving it as dump.reg and importing it:

Trackpad lags after opening the context menu

The case: I use my trackpad to open the context menu. I do not choose a menu item. I just move the mouse over a different screen control. Example: Close-window. I click (left) once, the context menu disappears. So far so good. Now I click again. But nothing happens. The control is not used.
The hint: I move the mouse to somewhere different, click, and move back to the control. Now the control can be used immediately.
Some explainations:
Just moving the mouse away and back does not help.
The UI shows me, that OSX notifies that the mouse is over the control.
I'm using OSX 10.8.4 with a MBP mid 2010. The problem purchases me since some OSX updates.
It happens independent from the trackpad device. The internal one shows the same behavior as the magic trackpad.
A direction to solve:
I checked the behavior with different other Macs. It is localized to mine.
I've created another user account. The behavior does not occur.
So I suggest it is something about my account preferences. Switching on and off the different trackpad preferences does not help.
What can I do?

Finder context menu: Send files to Bluetooth device...

When using the contextual menu to send files directly, to a known and pre-selected Bluetooth device, the 'scan for device' windows ALWAYS appears.
In my case it's usually to send to a smartphone which is established in system preferences and as such, selectable under the context menu.
This is so annoying - is there any way to fix this?

You can see from the screenshot below why this contextual menu item could be bothersome. The item widens the contextual menu when the path of file is too long.

Send To context menu arguments with LabVIEW executable

Hi,
I am have written a VI (and built it as an exe) to perform operations on a file, or array of files. I get the list of files as application arguments. I have added my exe to the Send To folder in windows so it appears in the context menu when I right click on a file. The problem is, LabVIEW opens the file with its registered application. I have read that Send To will pass the file selected to the application as arguments. The question is how do I set up LabVIEW (or Windows) to pass the selected file(s) as an argument rather than launching it?

Problem solved. I had forgotten to check the box 'pass all command line arguments to application' when I built the VI. What I find strange is that LabVIEW intercepted the argument I was passing and tried to open it using the program registered with windows. I guess there is some reason this is expected behavior. I have attached the VI which does not work (wrong settings) just for interest. (built with LV2010)

To add icon to send to context menu, please locate following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\SendTo
1. In the right-pane create a String value (REG_SZ) named Icon
2. Double-click Icon and type the path to an icon (.ico) file, or mention the icon library file name and the icon index.
3. Exit the Registry Editor.

Want sending directly email addresses to applied rules via context menu

Oke, I already sad it. But, 'par example'... I'm working with new co-workers at a new place. I got a a massage from our contact person. he send us all an 'open' massage, with all the e-mail addresses visible. Now I select all the contacts and want to direct them in a 'rule'... so they are 'mapped/directed to, in this case an sup-group or specified folder. The idear is that all emails from this group will go to this (ruled) folder.
But I want to do this right-click/controle click to context menu way.
This would also be handy for just one contact. Its a bit tidious to do it one by one after you opened preferences etc.
Maybe there is another solution. Thanks for responds!

Waaa, that's a pity. Coming from thunderbird, it's a loss in productivity!
In thunderbird you can make a 'rule based on a email address'.
This will be a big request for a future production of Apple Mail. Hope that people from Apple read this.

This was working in Firefox 12 but with the latest update to Firefox 13.x no mail client is launched (mine is Thunderbird) when context menu item "Send link..." is clicked.

I changed the network.protocol-handler.external.mailto setting in about:config to the default value (true) and that seemed to fix it.
I don't know what changed it before though.

Context Menu "Send To" mail text

Hi,
I am trying to explore the options available with in context menu -> send to mail option inside km document explorer view. The requirement is to change the text displayed in the form which is opened when users selects context menu -> send to option in KM document explorer.
Currently by default in mail body it shows the document link only. I am looking for changing the link to full path where the document is lying for ease of identification for users.
Any help will be much appreciated.
