Send to ios

Where is the "send to iOS " function?
My iCloud is on on both, the mac and iphone 5.
But on the share button, there is no send to ios

To clarify terminology, the iOS app is named Messages.  The Messages app will send your message as SMS, MMS, or iMessage.  If the recipient has an Apple device with iMessage enabled, the Messages app will try iMessage first. Otherwise the Messages app will use SMS or MMS.
If the Messages app is able to send as iMessage but not SMS or MMS, that is most likely a carrier problem. Call your carrier to make sure your account is setup properly for SMS.
When you send an SMS message, does it make the whoosh to indicate the message is sent? Any error messages?

  • Can't receive iMessages but I can send them. iOS 7.0.3 iPhone 5

I can't receive iMessages but I can send them. iMessage is showing the number with a tick in the settings and I am able to send iMessages to other people but they cannot send them back. They have to send a text
    I have:
Turned the phone off and on again numerous times
Turned iMessage off and on again numerous times
Turned iMessage off and reset network settings
But to no avail and still cannot receive iMessages
    How can I fix this?

  • Problem sending iMessages iOS 7.0.2

Since iOS 7.0.2 was installed, my iPhone 5 cannot send iMessages and sometime text messages. When I reboot the phone, this corrects the problem temporarily.

    Same here...
It seems Apple has a glitch with text/imessages in iOS7 and they are trying to fix it. Many people get it working again by simply restarting their phone
For me, restarting the phone kind of corrects it for awhile but then it starts doing it again.  My phone gives no indication the messages haven’t gone out till after I restart it! Huge problem since I cant tell when it quits sending! I have to just keep restarting my phone a couple times a day to make sure all my texts went out!
I also found this procedure but it seems to be only a temporary fix much like restarting your phone.
iPhone users: Go to Settings and into Messages and disable iMessage. Go into General then into the Reset tab (bottom of the screen). Next, select Reset Network Settings, confirm the choice, and wait for the iPhone to reboot. Once the phone restarts, toggle iMessage back on again.

  • Dropped E-Mail Attachments When Sending From ios 6

I have an iPhone 4S and iPad 2 both running ios 6 and I am having issues sending emails with picture attachments. I can attach a photo to my email and send it just fine from my iPhone and my iPad 2, but my receipent receives only a blank email with no attachment. I have scoured the boards to see if there is some sort of fix but I can not find anything on it.
Any ideas on what is going on here and how to fix it? Thanks!!
    Corina~

It should be an attachment.  Your Mac just displays a preview of certain attachments (such as .pdfs) in the body of the message.  A PC, for example, will see it as an attached file rather than a preview.
You can save the attachment on your Mac by Control-clicking on it and selecting Save Attachment.

  • TS2755 MMS won't send after iOS 7

My husband and I are both experiencing issues sending MMS.  We are on AT&T and did not have issues until we upgraded to the latest iOS 7, and 7.02.  If relevent we each have an iPhone 4.  Is this issue common and has a fix in the works, or found?

Follow the below given 3 step and you will be good to iMessage again.
    01. Open up your Settings app and tap ‘Messages’, then disable iMessage by tapping the toggle
    02. Go back into the main Settings screen, then tap ‘General’ and then ‘Reset’. Now tap ‘Reset Network Settings’ and confirm the process — you may have to enter your passcode if you have one set
    03. Return to the Messages section and enable iMessage again
IF the above suggestion doesnt work for you try resetting your device.
Reset your Device with the following steps.
Keep holding the Sleep/wake button along with Home Button, ignore the ON/OFF slider your device screen will go black in few seconds and another few seconds an apple logo will appears on screen you can release the both the button now wait for the Device to start and see if this have resolved the issue (No data will be lost in this process)

Everything else has been working fine.

  • Send email iOS/Android component for Adobe Air

    Hi guys!
I want to create an app that sends an image through mail. What options do I have for a global approach for iOS and Android?
Would you suggest instead uploading the image to a server? Would it be easier to have a solution for both platforms?
    Thanks in advance!

There are a few ANEs that can do this, and more. I use GoViral from Milkman Games:

  • Sending texts: iOS asks mobile # or e-mail address(es)

Any reason iOS asks whether you want to send an SMS to a contact's mobile phone number or their e-mail addresses when you click the "Text Message" button when looking at a person's contact information page? Shouldn't "text message" assume sending it to a phone number, not an e-mail address? This has driven me nuts since my first 2G iPhone.

I don't think so. When i open the Exchange contact on the iPhone (Contact --> Linked --> Exchange) the work number is not tagged as mobile end there is no message icon next to the phone number.

  • Memo and multi media files will not send with ios 6

Can I down grade to ios 5 from ios 6? I also get a "No Service" message and can't connect to an AT&T network with my 3gs.

    No, you cannot downgrade.

  • TS2755 When will Apple have a fix for iMessages not sending in iOS 7?

I saw the news that it was affecting a "fraction of a percent" of users. I know 2 people it is affecting, and it is now indirectly affecting me. So let's be real...it is affecting much more.
The temporary fixes are indeed that, temporary. Most users have the issue come back in day or two.
Even though the issue is not on my phone, I ahve had to turn off iMessages to communicate with my husband whose iMessages are not working. And now I find out that when I do that, other iPhone users cannot iMessage me. Where does it end, Apple? This company is really making my desire to switch to the Galaxy S4 almost palpable.

I tried about most of the trouble shooting tips on the internet, I even did a clean install with ALL the apps,
Update the iOS and even the still black or blue screen for 2-4 seconds between a app opening , all the apps are closed down like nothing runs in the background....
I even cut most of my images to the Macbook and on DropBox or GoogleDrive...
When I tried to chat online to Apple Care, after I inserted the serial number, it gave me a message that the device has been replaced, please contact Apple care.....
It is like running in circles to get an answer....
Speaking to an Apple guru on the phone is like " Oh just make an appointment and leave it here for repairs...."
This is the only phone I run my business from...

  • Mms wont send after iOS 7 update

    Anyone found a solution?

I had the same problem.  Here's how it repaired.  First need to note that I backed up my ios6 iphone5 to my MacBook Pro via iTunes and did the update to ios7 tethered to iTunes via USB.  The iPhone hung on restart to ios7.
I disconnectd the lightning to USB chord.  At that time the icon/graphic came up on the iphone screen to tell me to connect to iTunes.  On reconnect, the iPhone told me that it had to be restored and that this would "wipe out" all settings and items stored on the iPhone5.  So it was just like turning the iPhone 5 on new out of the box.  I was good with this since I had backed up.
The iPhone 5 then went through the restore process first installing the "most recent" ios, which happened to be ios7 since that was the latest downloaded via iTunes.  Once the base ios7 was installed I was then prompted to set up a new iPhone or restore from the latest backup (which I had done just prior).  I chose restore from latest backup and the iPhone went through the process of resyncing to iTunes and reinstalling all apps, music, pics, video, and "others" ... a looong process.

  • Send email iOS with AIR

Hi, I developed a form mail in AS3, using an external PHP document.
It sends a mail directly to my address and it works perfectly with iPad and iPhone.
Now... what I need at the moment, is to attach to my mail a photo captured at the moment directly from my app using CameraUI.
Is there a way to do that in Flash CS5.5 and AIR 3.0 ?
    Thanks for the suggestions

  • OSX Mavericks Maps "Send to iOS" not working

When I click the "share" button in Maps, my iPhone is not displayed. Any suggestions?

    Still no joy for me..
Curiously I tried sending Maps to my wife's iPhone 5 on her user account on the same iMac and it works perfectly!
Her iPhone's firmware is iOS7.0.2 also.
I have since reset all settings on my iPhone and signed out and in iCloud (again on mac and iPhone) but alas no cigar.
The only thing I think it 'could' be is the iPhone5 is a replacement handset from Apple, the phone is registered to Apple etc, so could that be it?
NB. The iPhone speaks to the Mac via the 'Remote App' if that helps any.
Again thank you in advance for any advice.

  • I cannot receive any msg sending from iOS devices.

But unforturnly, I cannot receive any message from other iPhone users now. They're all showing up senting out iMessage to me. But I receive nothing.
How to setup to resolve this problem?
    Thanks.
