"send via email" STILL not working

Hi community - I have seen this question asked several times but none of the answers given seem to apply to me.
I am working in a Pages document. I want to send this document as a Word file to someone else. I go to the Share menu, click Word under the "send via email" header, and then...nothing happens. No email app opens, no error message appears, nothing.
There are no slashes or unfamiliar characters in the file name. Both Gmail and the OS mail app are set up on my computer. What am I missing? I'm working on a brand new 13-inch MacBook Pro with a version of Pages just purchased from the app store.
And please don't recommend just exporting it as a Word doc and then emailing the file - I know I can do that already, but the point is this very important feature isn't working.

You would get the beep sound if you click on the greyed down "Send via Email". You have to choose which kind of document you want to send. But then again if it worked for you in the new account it can't be that giving you a problem.
I once had a problem using Pages. It worked fine in another user account but not in my original. Deleting the plist file didn't help, maintenace didn't help. Finally I uninstalled Pages/iWork 09 using Yvan's script from here. Then I installed my MacOS system (Snow Leopard) on top of what I had. Since the Snow Leopard system you can install a system again without erazing the hard disk. You might though check that anything important to you is saved on another disk or stick. Remeber to do the updates for the system
I did the system updates and restarted the computer. Installed iWork. I have the iWork DVD. And I did the software updates too. Then Pages worked again!

Depending where you are, there can be slow downs on the servers.
You just have to keep trying. I tried 3 times to get the Mavericks upfrade and eventually had to go to the Apple Store.
Where they gave me a copy of the previous version!

Sending contacts via email does not work, Vcards are garbled

When I send a contact via email, it looks like it's going to send a standard vcard, but when it comes through, it's mostly giberish. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else have this problem?

I'm wondering if there isn't some corruption with the address book database on the iPhone. I have a feeling that if you removed and resync'd contacts it might fix it. I'll check back in tomorrow morning to see what the results of mailing a newly created contact were. I'm being told it's bedtime.

Certain features in Gmail, like chat and sending an email, are not working in normal mode.

There seems to be some sort of problem with perhaps Flash/Java in Gmail, not sure. The chat box doesn't appear, and I can't send or reply to emails unless I'm in safe mode. It seems as though some add-on or feature is not working properly. This is a new issue, but didn't come about after downloading a newer version of Firefox. I am currently using 3.6.

Share via email & twitter not working on iOS7

When I try to share via email in Safari the email never sends. I enter an email address that I know works, and it looks like it's sending but it never ends up in my mailbox. I've shared via email successfully from other apps (like Pocket) and I've checked the spam folder but the email doesn't appear to have ever actually been sent.
Oddly I also cannot send via Twitter from Safari or Pocket, both give me a "connection failed" error.
This has been happening since I got an iPhone 5c (running ios7) to which I restored the data & settings from my iPhone 4 running ios6).
Help!

Trying to SHare Via Email a pages document as a PDF and after clicking "PDF" nothing happens....help..

On my system, Mail.app comes to the top and a new message opens with the PDF attached.
Is Mail your default mail app? If not, Export to PDF and attach the PDF to the mail message of your favorite mail client.

ICloud IMAP email still not working.

I can get to my email via https://www.icloud.com but accessing it with Mail.app still reports that:
"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “iCloud” or try again.
The server returned the error: The connection to the server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” on port 993 timed out."
I am experiencing this on 2 different macs at the same time.
Anyone else running into this issue even though Apple's System Status page ( http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/ ) reports that "All services are online." as of 10/13/2011 12:08 PDT.
This is an alarming trend.... .Mac launch fails; Mobile Me launch fails; now iCloud...

Mine stopped working from 10am yesterday morning (UK time) and I reset the password a couple of hours later. This still didn't work. I just reset the password again and it's all started working again instantly on my phone. Still to try icloud.com, ipad and macbook as they are at home but its looking good!

Smtp settings correct; outgoing email still not working

Every time I change providers, I have problems with my SMTP settings. I moved, had to change to AT&T. I got the recommended settings from AT&T, entered them for both incoming (POP) and outgoing (smtp.att.yahoo.com); port for incoming: 955; port for outgoing: 465; Connection security: SSL/TLS; authentication: no authentication & password (neither work). I called AT&T and they said everything is set correctly. I can RECEIVE messages, but can't SEND them. If I use AT&T's e-mail to send messages, it works - but T-bird still doesn't work. What am I missing?

However I am stuck with the Rule modeler, due to lack of documentation for scenario I am trying to implement.
My requirement is to invoke the Services I have maintained.
1> user will send "?" in subject line and they should get back links to the services they are authorized.
2> user will click one of the services and the service results is send back
So in rule modeler, what can be possible action and condition? Do I have to maintain any rules or Policy for the scenario I am trying to implement? I am getting the error "Resolution of rule AC00200136 for task TS00207914: no agent found".

Send to Email does not work in Yosemite iOS.

In Safari trying to send page to mail recipient, when I click on share, send to mail, the Terminal program opens instead of the Mail. Also the Terminal Icon is displayed next to the Mail. Looks like there is a glitch with program associations. How can this be fixed? Does Apple monitors this blog?

All I get is a error tone when clicking share>send via email.
This worked before I upgraded to Lion.

Does anybody know why the share option, "Share via email" does not work anymore after Yosemite upgrade? I love this feature. It's just quick and easy.

On Yosemite, Pages '09 v4.3 no longer recognizes the Share > Send Via Email categories. You will have to export and manually drag/drop/attach documents to Mail. There is no fix.

Contact your mail provider and get the CORRECT settings for the outgoing server to set up on your phone.
