I am sorry guys for the wrong link(I put '.' period after the URL).
Now it has been rectified.

thanks for posting the supplied answer. The problem here is
that kamal is answering away from the
forum via personal email. These forums work best because
often the same question is asked over and
over and over again - so searching before posting often
results in finding the answer. If answers
are done away from the forum, then users will be neglected
when searching for answers.
If you were to create a new topic you would find several
others just as willing to help as much as
Kamal is. Kamal is trying to create his own forum which is
fine - but not very good "netiquette" to
divert attention away from other forums or use public forums
to advertise for their own cause.
But in the end you got the answer you were looking for and
that's what matters.
I have to add - Kamal's response isn't exactly accurate - it
his opinion and doesn't exactly reflect
the majority of users - posting in a very busy forum as this
will result in more varied opinions
based on your question.
Kamal probably should have pointed you to this:
http://www.macromedia.com/software/player_census/flashplayer/version_penetration.html
which shows player 8 already over 45%. The rate of flash 8
downloads has greatly exceeded the
download rate for previous versions - so statistically it
looks like much less than a year for
"full" penetration.
I personally would never tell anyone there is no point in
designing for flash player 8 - the rate of
download of flash 8 is proof that more users are publishing
to 8 due to all of the many new features.
Also, i dont entirely agree with Kamal's statment about flash
8 being designed "more" for the
designer and "less" for the programmer - that is very
misleading - yes, there are many new
designer-friendly features in flash 8 - but there are
significant new features for the developer as
well - possibly as much if not more then for the designer.
So, getting an opinion from one person as opposed to an
entire community may be misleading for you -
not to say don't consult Kamal's site - I wouldn't rely on it
as your only source for answers - 2nd
and 3rd opinions are always better.
-just my opinion.

Mail cannot send your password securely to the server. You can remove this restriction in the Accounts preferences by setting “Allow insecure authentication”, which could put your password at risk.

    I have the same problem.
    Late 2012 imac 27", intel i7 core
When I upgraded to Yosemite, suddenly my email account (netvigator POP) gives an error:
Mail cannot send your password securely to the server. You can remove this restriction in the Accounts preferences by setting “Allow insecure authentication”, which could put your password at risk.
I have shut down & restarted mail, but no success. If I select Allow insecure authentication, it works, but that's not a long term fix.
I also have a hotmail POP account enabled, and that is working fine.
    What's happening Apple??

I am trying to send a message with an attachment, I get this message: An error occurred while sending mail. Me too (with Thunderbird). EXCEPT it reads
Requested action not taken; This account is currently blocked from sending messages. If you don't think you've violated the Windows Live Terms of Use, please contact customer support...
Occasionally the mail "sends", but it is unpredictable. Tech Support at Qwest (for q.com under Windows Live) does not find a problem at their end.
More suspiciously, the same account accessed from my Mac does not seem to exhibit this problem. Have reloaded T'bird. Recurred again.

  • For those with RSD: what is your Problem Description?

I just got the box by DHL to send my MacBook with RSD to Memphis. On the other side of the shipping label is:
    Problem Description: No Power/No Light.
This obviously doesn't describe the problem. So, others with RSD that are sending your MacBooks to Memphis: what does your Problem Description say?
I found an old post (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2889831&#2889831) about this but that was made before this problem became widespread like it is now.

BOTH BOXES I've received in the last two months (one each for the TWO TIMES I've sent my MB in, once for RSD, second time cause it died completely with 15 minutes of getting it back from the RSD repair) said "No Power/No Light," but through my discussions (many) with AppleCare, they are aware of the actual problem.

  • Send your feedback to Apple if you want Cover Flow sorted by Album

I know this is a hot topic, but I really would prefer to have Cover Flow sorted per Album rather than per Artist. I don't buy the same album for each artist so I think Cover Flow should be per Album, it just makes sense.
As there's no real way around it and if you agree send your feedback to Apple so at least they know it's something people want and maybe they'll work on a way to fix it for us.
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html

I would support an option to sort by album or artist but if it were only 1 way, i'd like it to be by artist. Assuming the fix the compilation problem, I want the coverflow to work like going to a 'record' store so that i can easily go artist by artist and each artists albums are sorted together. compilations would either be grouped together at the end or under various artists ( but each album would appear once). I know my collection way better by artist than i do by album name.

  • Message: Your Web browser must accept cookies in order for you to send your data. Please adjust your browser settings to enable this site to store cookies.

    Hello! I have two questions.
    (1) I want to submit a question through www.tune-up.com but the website does not accept my inquiry.
I get the following message: "Your Web browser must accept cookies in order for you to send your data. Please adjust your browser settings to enable this site to store cookies and access this site again."
I checked my cookie settings, and it looks like I have the Firefox default settings (i.e. cookies are accepted). Tried to submit my inquiry again but it does not work. Please advise how to make sure I can submit inquiries etc.
    (2) I want to start using the Google search again but not sure how do change the settings. I do not want to have DuckDuck Go as my default. Would you please describe how to change back to Google? Also, is the problem I described above perhaps related to the DuckDuckGo search engine I use?
I look forward to your assistance which is greatly appreciated - Thank you!

On #1, you can check the site-specific cookie setting using the Permissions panel of the Page Info dialog. When you are on the page, you can open that dialog using either:
    * right-click the page > View Page Info > Permissions
    * click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > Permissions
Skim or scroll down to "Set Cookies" to make sure it is not set to Block.
If that is okay, some other random thoughts:
    * Are you using the site in a private browsing window?
    * Do you recall disabling DOM storage, which sites sometimes use instead of cookies to store large blobs of data (Firefox controls access to DOM storage using your cookie setting for the site)?
On #2, your default search engine should not have changed. To change it to Google, you can use the icon on the left end of the search bar (the classic small search box that appears on the toolbar). Please see: [[Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox]].
I don't think there is any connection between #2 and #1.

  • Send your FlashPlayer complaints...

So at first I thought I was the only one with Flash problems but now I realize this issue has been going on for quite some time and apparently Adobe refuses to address the issue or can't address the issue.  Regardless, it should be clear that either: they did enough research to know that this was going to be a major issue but chose to ignore it, or they didn't do any research whatsoever.  Either way it should be up to them to pull the product, revert to the old version and fix it.
Send your complaints via the  "Send Feedback" link which is located at the bottom of the page.
Also, when you're finished here, go to YouTube, Facebook, and any other sites that use video and send complaints to them as well.  If Adobe refuses to listen to individual complaints then perhaps they'll listen to companies with enough clout to take their business elsewhere.

I found this site when searching for bug fixes for th e Flash player.
    https://bugs.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If enough people submit  bugs and vote on existing bugs reports the Flash player team will get the hint.

  • Sending your ipod in

Hey there, I need to send my ipod in, I got it back In June This year 05, and I baby almost every thing I get my ipod being one of them. My face plate is falling off already i can click it on then just while it's in my pocket it comes off, and my battery only lasts for about 2-5 hours which is really not cool. When I got it there was a line down the screen when you looked at it ( Like when you push down on a calculater screen)I didn't really mind it but now the top of the screen looks like it to. So who do I need to talk to, to get it sent in.

Well, im guessing since you are still under your 1 year limited apple warrenty, they will take it with no charge to see whats wrong with it, either they will send you a new one, or just fix your original...
To send it in you have to write up a service request, to do so go to this link:
    http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/?country=ca&language=ca
after you go there just follow the instructions, and write up your problem and what product you have etc...
    hope that helped...

Yesterday I uploaded Yosemite 10.10.2 thinking it was fixed by now. In Mail, my POP account gets this error message: Mail cannot send your password securely to the server. You can remove this restriction in the Accounts preferences by setting “Allow insecure authentication”, which could put your password at risk.
My provider says it's an Apple issue. The gmail accounts are logging in fine. Any help? Something simple?
    Thanks anyone.

Thanks Csound1. That did work and Mail was able to connect to the internet. Green light status. Is it because of my provider that I may never have had secure connections? Is that an Apple thing or do PCs have the same issues? Appreciate your help. I'll research insecure connections as I am ignorant of the consequences.

  • How to sort out your problems with the os 4 upgrade.

I'm in the UK, and I am an Orange customer. I have just been in contact with an amazing guy called Lee, who has sorted my problem for me. His advice.......
    go into
Settings, general, scroll down to bottom of the screen to Reset, and tap on it.
Go to 3rd option, Reset Network Settings and tap on it, a red box will appear, tap to accept. Screen will close and Apple logo will appear, LEAVE to power up on its own, and re-enter your wi-fi connection password information.
If this fails to cure your problem, Connect your iphone to a different computer,
When your iphone shows up in itunes, click on it and do a RESTORE WITHOUT BACKUP, leave until your phone has restored and then plug into your own computer. You can now back up from your own computer information
    Hope this solves our problems

Apple does not provide support here.
    This is a users forum.
Everyone here is a user like yourself.
If you would like support from Apple you can contact them by phone or online.

Apple would have to strip so many features out of iOS 7 to make it work on your iPod that about all you'd have would be iOS 6 with different icons. So as the others have said, this is not going to happen. If you want iOS 7, you'll need a newer iPod.
